Office Remodel

With Scott working from home we really needed to do something with our office. We were just going to get him a nice desk and some bookshelves but I just really felt like we should redo it all. Luckily Scott was on board and we decided to rip out the carpet and make it really nice. A week after we decided this, Overstock announced that they would move to a permanent work from home status, covid or no. Starting in April, Scott will have to go to the office twice a month. We love this set up and we are so glad we decided to really redo the office.

Take down the stage

Home improvement project: remove stage area to allow space for shuffleboard. Remove top of "bench" seating area, finish inside and turn into storage cupboard for blankets etc.

Before: see stage area (this used to be the display area for a WWI motorcycle that was owned by the original owner. For us, it mostly just takes us space.

The bench area with top removed

During....(trying our best to keep dust and debris behind that plastic)

After: bench is transformed to a storage area/bench with 3 hinged doors. Loving the extra storage!

Entertainment Area Transformation

We redid the entertainment area in our basement and we are SO excited about how it turned out! It is seriously amazing. The original space was very unique and specific to what the original owners needed. To us, it was a lot of wasted space. So, as a family we knocked it out (Hello Demo Day!) which the kids really enjoyed. I worked with our friend to design cabinets and it turned out amazing!

*Biggest lesson learned: When doing any kind of drywall, cover the furniture. Or, better yet, make a wall with plastic to keep the dust contained!

Finished Project!!! We are loving it!!

Playhouse

We decided to build a playhouse under our deck in the back yard. We kept it simple but it is so cute! We did a really good job and we hope that this brings lots of fun for years to come!
