Christmas Morning 2025

We had an amazing day and had so much fun being in Spokane! Christmas was on Sunday this year so we spent the morning opening stocking gifts and then got ready for church. Church was wonderful and it was nice to listen to and sing Christmas songs together. Scott ran into some old friends at his parents ward which was fun.

Turkey Bowl

The Turkey Bowl was early and it was COLD! But they played anyway and had a blast doing it. They even convinced some friends and neighbors to join them!

Kayak Trip Day 1

The Kidds invited our family on a Kayak trip that they had organized and Scott was more than happy to use that as an excuse to purchase a couple kayaks and head out on an adventure. We didn't feel like Livvy was probably ready so I opted to stay home with her and Kayla chose to stay home with the girls. So, the boys headed down to the Moab area for a Kayak adventure. Scott invited the Steeles to join them as well. Day 1 was the drive down, setting up camp, hiking to a nearby waterfall and visiting with people at campfires.

Blowing your nose the "fancy" way

This will need to be remembered for someday down the road....

Trey: I can't breathe out of my nose
Me: Do you have a cold?
Trey: Yeah
Me: Well why don't you go blow your nose?
Trey: I like to blow my nose the fancy way
Me: I'm scared to ask. What is the fancy way?
Trey: I stick my finger up my nose on one side and blow out the other

Backpacking

Scott and the boys went on their annual backpack trip. It was a lot of work getting ready but everyone really looks forward to it. There was so much excitement in this house! Each year Scott's load gets a little lighter although his load was still quite heavy this year with having to carry a lot of extra stuff. They went to the high Unitas to hike an area called the Notch. They hiked a little over 8 miles in total (4, 2, 2). They saw amazing scenery and camped at Ibantik Lake the first night and Twin Lakes the second. Uncle Rich and Norah came up on Friday and camped with them for the second night. All of the boys caught a fist at Ibantik which was so exciting. They were thrilled! There was no fish at Twin Lakes :-( Friday morning Trey woke up with a nasty blister on the side of his face; most likely a spider bite. It didn't seem to bother him very much but it looked nasty!  Everyone had a blast!
