One of the perks of Overstock.com is every other Friday off. Scott decided to take advantage of one of these Fridays and go on an over-nighter down south to do a hike he has been wanting to do for some time now; Wild Horse slot canyon trail. He was able to get a couple friends to go with him and as it turned out, Skyler had that Friday off from school so he was able to go as well. Gone for approximately 24 hours and the first story I hear from my 12 year old upon his return was all about the rattle snake he almost stepped on....
Scott and Skyler and Brian Schultz left late Thursday night, arrived after dark, set up their tent in the dark and got to sleep. In the morning they were awestruck by the view right outside their tent. They camped, unbeknown to them, right in the shadow of huge red cliffs! After a breakfast and the arrival of a couple more friends, John Peterson and Reid Fuller, the boys set off on the amazing hike through Wild Horse Slot Canyon. 8 miles of amazing walls and scenery. They had an amazing time! We are so lucky to live in this beautiful area!
