-Sleeping babies are the cutest
-this year I was asked to be in charge of spirit sticks at Welby. In January we had a challenge month where the kids can earn a free spirit stick. Januarys challenge was in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. and was to write a brief sentence/paragraph filling in the "I have a dream....." it was really fun to see all the kids responses. I put them up in the hallway at the school and it looked really cool! I captured a picture of one of favorite dreams! ("I have a dream that ice cream would not be so expensive")
-Cousin Alex Petersen was ready to head back to his mission and had to fly through Salt Lake City. As it turns out, there was a crazy storm going on in Texas that shut everything down. We got an emergency ask to go pick him up from teh airport. Orignally we thought he would stay for a couple hours but he ended up staying overnight. It was an unexpected adventure and we loved having him for a day. He even helped with our family service project! After a day Texas reopened and we were able to take Alex to the airport and send him off to Texas.
-We did an arcade night at Nicklecade which is always fun!

Summer Fun
We have been trying our very hardest to find a balance of being at the hospital with Olivia and helping our other kids have at least a little fun this summer. While none of them have complained too much about the hospital they are all sacrificing a lot with Livvy girl in the hospital. Here are a few memories made this month!
Spudtoddos and A Dog's Journey at the $ theater
Celebrating "Korea" day (the day Scott entered the MTC to serve his mission) with YUMMY Korean food at The Angry Korean!
Splash Pad day at a local park. We took a picnic, bathing suits and chalk. Had a blast chalking up the sidewalks and playing in the water. Andrew actually burned his foot in our first 10 minutes there because he walked on the playground. He wouldn't walk on his foot so spent the afternoon with me carrying him around and trying to keep his foot in the water. He was in good spirits but when I went to put his sandal on at the end of the day I noticed the giant blisters on the pad of his foot. Poor kid. Carson had tons of fun drawing MASSIVE sharks.
The Quick Quack.... amazing how much entertainment a car wash provides. We may or may not have gone through 3 times :-)
Our annual cub scout slip-n-slide activity. This is always so much fun!
Swimming lessons! Everyone did them, including Andrew, who wouldn't have gotten to if Livvy wasn't in the hospital. He got to do the Mommy n me class
Movie and sleepover night in mommy's room. This may be a yearly tradition. Scott has to travel every July for a big conference and we had so much fun the first night that the kids ended up sleeping over a second night!
S'mores and "camping" in the backyard with Grandma
Harry Potter Day at the Library
