This morning Oakcrest had a Stomp Rocket Parade. A week ago some teachers sent out an email with an instructional video on how to make a stomp rocket. They announced that the teachers from the school would have a parade through our neighborhoods and as the vehicles drove by we could try to get our rockets into the beds of the trucks. Well today was a huge success. We had SO much fun making our stomp rockets and playing with them for the last few days. We also made a fun sign for our teachers. And today we lined our front yard in groups of 2 and rapid fire attacked the parade. We shot off a ton of rockets! It was SO fun, and somewhat emotional, to see our teachers and principle.
After our parade we took off and headed to St. George. We have always had really good luck with Airbnb purchases but today was our first fail. We showed up and couldn't get into our house. While I was on the phone with an agent, the kids climbed a fence to the backyard and happened to find a backdoor unlocked. I was still on the phone when they let me in. I walked in and quickly realized the place had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. There was used sheets and towels on the bedroom and bathroom floors. So we basically got kicked out for 3 hours while the lady called a cleaner to get them over to clean. We ate out at a restaurant, our first time taking the kids to one since before Covid began. We finally got in late tonight and do like the place. We are sharing the house with the Kidds.
