Moab Trip Day 2 (Arches NP: Other) Post 3 of 3

For the final portion of the day we did quite a bit

-Landscape Arch, Pine Tree Arch, Tunnel Arch: great hikes with sand to play in and write in
-Sand Dune Arch: a kid favorite, even for Olivia. This is a massive sandbox with a beautiful arch above it. I think the kids could have played all day here! Super fun.
-drive-by sighting Double Arch and of the Window Arches
-Red Sand Hill: another kid favorite. A giant red sand hill made for sliding/running down. One of these times I am bringing a sled to this hill! Skyler, Carson, Trey, Kayla and Andrew made it all the way to the top (took about 10 minutes) and then ran down (in about 2).

-Tonight the temperature dropped big time and the wind was howling so we packed up the tent and we somehow fit everyone in our tiny home.

This rock above Trey totally looks like a snake!

Olivia had so much fun at Sand Dune Arch. When Olivia gets really excited her little tongue comes out and boy was her tongue out today at the Sand Dune. I loved watching the joy she felt for this simple thing: sand. Pure joy...

Moab Trip Day 2 (Arches NP: Delicate Arch) Post 2 of 3

For the second part of the day we hiked to Delicate Arch: AMAZING! This hike was hard but so unique and definitely worth the trip! It is 3 miles round trip hiking the side of a mountain with no shade. Luckily it wasn't too hot today but on a hot day, this would probably be a really rough hike. The kids had an awesome time being up at the arch while being super careful. We came to Arches NP back in 2014 but didn't end up doing this hike but today we realized just why it is on our state quarter and why it is on our license plates etc. It truly is a wonder. This amazing arch just sits there all on its own. Amazing.

After the hike we ate lunch and then hiked to the Delicate Arch View Point (last pics of post)
