Orlando-Gatorland etc

Below are a few pictures of our room on the boat.

This morning we had to be off the boat bright and early. We got packed up and got everything in order and were off the boat by about 8:30 and back the Orlando airport around 9ish. We had rented a car for the day and after picking it, and some breakfast, up we headed to Gatorland. Well, prior to today, I had an  immense fear of alligators/crocodiles and today just helped to justify that fear. These creatures are ferociously scary. That said, we had a fascinating day walking around and seeing them in action. We watched several different shows (Gator Jumparoo and gator wrestling show) and watched some feeding sessions. You can buy bags of hot dogs to throw to the gators.

After finishing our time at Gatorland we ate at a local DDD restaurant called Mrs Potato Restaurant which was fabulous! And then finally back to the airport and we were headed home.We had a fabulous time together on this trip. It was really really fun.

He paralyzed the alligator, which apparently can work for about 5 minutes

here we are about to walk on the boardwalk through the swamp. there were signs everywhere warning of water moccasins.

Those people below us are feeding hot dogs to the gators

San Diego Trip (Day 1)

For Christmas this year we really wanted to take the kiddos on an airplane ride. After looking for cheap flights we settled on San Diego. Needless to say we have been SO excited for this trip. We purchased the city pass and picked some fun activities to keep us busy and off we went.

Riding the shuttle to the airport

Our flight got delayed.... no fun, especially with 5 kids

Finally got on the airplane!!! YEA!!!

Our kids LOVED the movie watching and snacks on the airplane. I have to say this flight went off with out a hitch. We didn't have seats all together but we made it work and everyone loved the plane experience.

When we arrived in San Diego we decided to use one of our city pass activities right away. We headed to downtown and got our tickets for a 1 hour bay tour. We explored for a bit and then enjoyed our tour out in the ocean.

Our cruise ship-the Hornblower

We saw lots of cool navy ships

and this amazing bridge

After our cruise, we walked around downtown-saw this cool ship and a really fun playground that the kids enjoyed for a while.

We ate at a DDD place called Hodad's and it was pretty awesome! Their onion rings were out of this world!

We made it safely and easily to our rental which is just adorable!
