Influenster Review: L'Oreal Color Radiance

It's been a while since I have had the opportunity to do a review for Influenster, so when I was selected for this product review, I was more than willing to oblige.

The funny thing with Influenster, is that you never really know what you are getting when you are selected. I was excited to see the box in the mail and couldn't wait to open it up to see what I got.

When I opened up the box, I was excited to see hair products because in all honesty I'm not someone to just buy a new product to just try, I stick to what I know or what I have heard is good!

The fact that I dye my hair often made this product really appeal to me. So here is my honest opinion and granted this is my opinion have the initial use.

First impression was that the products smells good, however seeing that it was a 3-step process did not exactly appeal to me being a mom, who needs to shower quickly for the most part!

But I gave it a try, starting with the shampoo, as I mentioned it smelt great and after I rinsed it out my hair did feel silky, not stringy like some other products I have tried.

Up next was the instant miracle - this was probably my favorite product of the 3. The smell was even better than the rest. You put this product on and rinse it immediately, so no time wasted waiting for it to sit. My hair felt amazing afterwards, to the point that I didn't even want to put on the conditioner. Because I wanted to complete the full review, I did apply the conditioner next, but I will be trying the products without the conditioner just to see. It took the tangles outs and everything.

I applied the conditioner and my hair didn't feel as silky as it did after using the instant miracle. After showering I blow dried my hair and found the frizz to be at a minimum. My hair did feel soft and it did dry quickly. I also found that it was not a product that weighed my hair (which is thin and light weight) down, especially being a 3 step process. I didn't find my hair greasy after using the product either.

So would I reccomend these products? Yes! I haven't checked out the price point of the products, but L'Oreal is usually affordable.

If anything try the instant miracle product.

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for my honest opinion.

Garnier Color Shield Review

Today I am going to share a few more products I received  from Influenster recently!

Before reviewing I wanted to give the product a try to be able to give my best honest review.

Now I will be honest in saying that my hair is well overdue in the color department and I am planning on going dark again for the fall!

Influenster sent me these products complimentary for review purposes and these opinions are that of my own.

They sent me the Garnier Color Shield product line:

In all honesty as far as washing and conditioning my hair, it was no different than any other shampoo, but I don't think it was supposed to stand out to be any different. I believe the purpose is the protection it is supposed to give you against sun and other harmful environmental factors. I am not really sure how to notice those effects though at this point!

I will say that I love the Heat Protect and Shine Spray! It is one of my new favorite products. It left my hair soft and super shiny!! It is great knowing I have a product that protects against the heat of my curling irons and straighteners and doesn't leave my hair feeling dry or heavy.

Broadway Nails imPress Manicure

Today I am here to share a new product with you!

As part of an Influenster member, I received a voxbox containing 2 imPress manicure bottles!!

I have received a bottle previously and love how quick they go on! I can't say I love the colors I received, but hey, I didn't buy them!! The colors are called:

- working girl
- totally busted

We all know I like a good nail color name!!

I tried the orange pair first! It is like construction site orange - that's what I would have called it, and a little too bright for me!

The nails went on super fast in less than 6 minutes, which is great when you don't have much time to even think to do your nails!! No dry time, just press them on and you are done!! I love how convienent that part is!

I also love that they retail for less than $10 and should last about a week! I can't say mine did, because I took them off before that. But I only took them off because they were a bit too long for me right now, going from having no nails to having nails again. Which would lead to my next issue with them is that as a pet owner and because I had no nails of my own, some of the sticky application was visible underneath and I found pet hair would stick to it and most likely my own if I was to run my fingers through my hair. I don't think this would be a common problem for most, but because of my short natural nails it was for me.

The other issue I had was finding a size to fit my thumb. I have a wide nail bed on my thumbs, the biggest size I made work, and as long as no one was examining my nails closely, you would never be able to tell!

Would I buy these? Yes, just for the convienence of having nice nails if I needed them in a hurry. They have quite the colors and designs available as well, which of course is a bonus!!

Taking them off was super easy as well and painless. They didn't leave behind a film or glue after the short time I had them on.

Influenster Mystery Brand Vox Box Review

I was selected by Influenster to do another vox box review, but this one was a little different. I actually didn't know what product I was trying, aside from knowing it was from L'Oreal. Then after trying them for a week, they send me full bottles of the product.

They sent me this box, with these bottles, labelled just as you see:

(Shampoo, Conditioner, Split-End Serum)

So I tried it! They all smell amazing of course. The shampoo was shampoo, nothing special from what I could tell. My hair felt a bit strawish after rinsing it out, but once I put the conditioner in it felt great! Sleek and smooth, and detangled easy. I towel dried my hair and put the split end serum on my ends. I have never used a product like this and had no idea what to expect. I almost found that my hair dried quicker once I put it in, granted I used the hair dryer, but seemed quicker? My hair felt great and smelt great!

Two days later I found my starting to get greasy, which has been a problem during this pregnancy if I used anything but Pert Plus? Don't ask, because I don't have the answer! So I am interested in trying this post pregnancy to see how it holds up.

My guesses? Is that it is an over the counter brand and most likely a Garnier Fructis product? It just smells similar. I don't normally use Garnier, but after trying the mystery brand, I might consider putting whatever brand this is into rotation to help with my split ends, or at least try the split end serum more.

Maple Vox Box

I signed up for Influenster quite a while ago, only to realize later that they didn't ship their Vox Box's to Canada, but to my pleasant surprise sure enough they started shipping them Canada!! Which means I am finally able to take part in receiving, trying and reviewing some awesome new products!

My first box was just received last week and much to my excitement of receiving one, it was not a disappointment! It was filled with great products to try and review, most of which I had not tried before!

Here are all the goodies I received:

1.) Broadway Nails impress Press-On Manicure: These retail for approx. $8.99-$10.99. You all know me, I love having pretty nails and sure enough I have had my gel nails off for quite some time, so this is perfect for adding a pretty touch pretty easily. They last up to 1 week, come in 12 different nail sizes and you get 24 stickers. They come in a super cute container, so no spilling them everywhere and no sticky glue to worry about applying, just peel and stick. The pattern I received is called "holla", almost looking lacy. You can find these at Wal-Mart. Great stocking stuffer idea for those who like pretty nails without the maintenance!

2.) Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spas: Retail for about $2.49. I received the Dead Sea Mud Spa. In all honesty I used to buy these all the time as a teenager and loved a good facial experience. If you ever need a quick (roughly 20 min) spa treatment at home, these work. Your face will feel soo refreshed afterwards. I actually really look forward to trying this one. Another added bonus is that they do NOT test their products on animals!! Check out their facebook page for give aways!

3.) Skinny Cow Milk Chocolate Dreamy Clusters: Retail for about $1.29 each or $4.29 per 4 pack. These are seriously soo good!! We all know I have a sweet tooth, but these my friends really aren't that bad! Just 120 calories/pack! Perfect snack size and the sugar content amount is 20 grams. Ever since my Mom was diagnosed with diabetes, I have started to watch this on all packages and this actually a snack she can enjoy. It is milk chocolate filled with caramel and crunchy crisps. I will definitely buy these again!!

4.) Ice Breakers Duo: Retail for $1.99. I have tried the sugar free mints by ice breakers before and really liked them, so when I saw this in the box I was pretty excited and it filled the box with an amazing smell of raspberry, which was the kind I received! These mints are soo refreshing, almost juicy with raspberry, leaving your mouth feeling so very fresh afterwards! I will buy these again too!!

5.) NYC New York Color Big Bold Curl Mascara: This retails for only $4.99!! I am not the girl who wears a lot of make up, but finding a good mascara for a minimal price is no easy feat. This mascara actually curled my lashes a bit without even using an eye lash curler. It also gave me the appearance of having longer lashes, as mine are very short and far from full! I did find that it gave me more volume and lift. I would recommend for others to try this. They also threw in some coupons for my next purchase! Great stocking stuffer idea!!

6.) Skinny Cow Milk Chocolate Flavour Heavenly Crisp: Retail for about $1.29 each or $4.29 per 4 pack. Another snack my mother would be able to enjoy at only 7 grams of sugar and only 100 calories per bar. This bar contains wafers with a chocolate crème flavor, covered in a chocolate coating. A nice light snack.

7.) NYC New York Color Big Bold Plumping Lip Gloss: Retails for only $4.99 as well! Not a bad price for a tube of lip gloss and I love the color I received - Big City Blush. This would actually make a great stocking stuffer as well! This high gloss shine lasts up to 4 hours. My lips are pretty plump as it is, so I can't really comment on the plump factor. But I do like the applicator brush!

There we have it, a box full of goodies, all of which I would actually use again!! I couldn't be happier with my first vox box!!
