What I'm Loving: Luke Bryan

Just as I promised, a whole post on my latest obsession.... Luke Bryan!

Last Friday my sister, along with a few friends headed to Hamilton to see Luke Bryan! Seriously, hands down the best concert I've been to! The opening acts were actually really good too being Dustin Lynch who sings:

Where It's At

My Favorite:

Cowboys And Angels

along with:
She Cranks My Tractor
Hell Of A Night

Along with so many others, we were actually able to sing along to most of his music! He wasn't bad to look at either:

Up next was Randy Houser, granted he was a louder performer, we still knew his songs, which included:

Like A Cowboy

Goodnight Kiss

and soo many more that I loved like:
How Country Feels
Boots On
Running Out of Moonlight

But best was seriously last, Luke gave a heartfelt performance, especially when he sang the song Drink A Beer, which always has me on the verge of tears. He was such a humble performer, and just seemed blown away that everyone was there for him! He sang quite a few of my favorites and I was really bummed when we didn't find a tshirt stand. This man sings from the soul and his smile just beams and you can't help but to smile. I don't have anything bad to say about him.

Of course we enjoyed watching him shake it and we're really bummed we couldn't see him again in London on Sunday. I seriously just love him so much!

So much so, I have started watching his you tube channel.

Have you ever been soo moved by a concert that you just want to know more about a person?

{ What I am Loving }

A rainy Wednesday it is, but I am well rested because the little Mr. slept all night last night!! Which tops todays list of the things I am loving!!

- I love that some days my cheeks actually hurt from smiling soo much. Who knew that this little boy could cause soo much joy. I am the happiest I have been in a loooong time!

- I love that the dogs are starting to take more interest in Noah during mat time and the cats are loving him more too. Including Jazz - who gets kicked constantly because she likes to sit beside him and purr. Clearly her happy pills are working.

- I love this pic of Gracie from yesterday morning:

- I am loving white chocolate brownies. I had one at Moxie's on the weekend for the first time and now I want more! I found this recipe on Pinterest and might have to try it!
White Chocolate Brownies

- I am struggling with wearing my hair down lately because I get annoyed with it when nursing, so I have been trying to find cute ways to tie it back. I came across this one and I love it!

- I am loving that the first ball game of the season is Friday!!

- I love that the results of my x-ray have finally showed that my ankle fracture has healed. It doesn't explain the pain or the swelling and bruising, but I at least know I won't sustain more damage by exercising again. I will just have to deal with it and push on!

- I think Noah and I are going to have to get crafting and make this for his nursery:
Nautical Anchor Footprint Canvas Art with Print Kit, Stripe, 12x12", by SnowFlowerArts, Any Color, $34.00

I have never made my own canvas art! Anyone have any tips?

- I would also love to make these:

Family handprint, so sweet!

But I think I will have to then make a new gallery wall to showcase them, which I am considering doing on my staircase going upstairs like this one:
I love the idea of making a photo collage over the staircase.

- I am loving the duet by Blake Shelton and Shakira called Medicine:

I hope everyone is having a great day, we are off to the vet today for shots and blood work.

Friday's Five with A Give Away!!

1. The 14 day weather forecast!! Are you ready for this? ALL positive temps!!! It's going up to +9 today!! It's raining, but I don't even care if it means warmer temps!! Spring might have finally sprung!!

2. Mr. Noah gave us a nice 5 hour stretch last night and then 2 hours!! Loved it!! Speaking of Noah, he is 1 pound over his birth weight, topping the growth chart with 8 pounds 1 ounce!! I know one day he will grow faster, so for now I will enjoy my tiny man.

3. I am IN LOVE with the song Human by Christina Perry. I find myself singing it to Noah non-stop. It reminds me of our infertility journey bang on! Such an encouraging song. Check it out:

4. Hoping to get some more spring cleaning done this weekend and finish organizing Noah's clothes.

5. Give Away Time!!!

Today I am sharing a fabulous shop with you all!! Quinn and Lane. I found her shop on etsy and loved these pacifier clips!! Another awesome reason I chose to purchase from her, she's a fellow Canadian!! Love supporting Canadians!! Catherine is a SAHM like myself, but she has two boys!

I also love that she gives you the option to modify the clips to fit various pacifiers! We use the gum drop pacifiers (that's what the NICU sent him home with) So you can get them universal:

or modified to accommodate the gum drops or soothie brands:

I was lucky enough for her to send me one to review! So I chose this one:

I love it! We only have 5 pacifiers, so I really can't afford to lose any, we have one for the car seat, one for his bassinet, one in the diaper bag, one washed and ready to go and one to clip to him!

It is a bit big for Noah now:
But he will grow.

I loved this one soo much, I ordered 5 more! She has a great deal where you can buy 5 for only $18!

The shop also sells toy and cup straps:

Toddler Belt Snaps:

Catherine has not only given me the opportunity to review her product, but she also offered to do a give away to not 1 of my followers, but 3!!!

Currently...

I just realized it has been months since I have posted one of these, so I feel it's time for update on my current status.

I am reading: The Memory Keeper's Daughter.... I am only on page 52... hopefully I will get back to it now! Oh this is still the same! I totally suck at following through with reading!

I also read Oh The Places You Will Go weekly to the baby! Does this count? lol

Listening to:
One Direction: Little Things

Taylor Swift ft. Ed Sheeran - Everything Has Changed

Thinking About: Getting organized. I've going on and on about this, but I have been brainstorming various ideas on how to implement changes.

Loving: This sweet baby inside of me. My loving husband and our crazy animals!

Drinking: Water and a lot of it. I'm loving milk again and orange juice.

Watching: Chicago Fire, The Voice, PARENTHOOD, Grey's Anatomy, Law & Order SVU, X Factor. Love the fall TV line up!

Missing: I'm not really sure, I am really happy with where I am in my life right now!

Need to: clean windows, clean the bath tub, organize the mudroom... my list is ongoing.

Cooking: I just want everything sweet! It's bad. I'm trying not to bake anything. Although I made Jello last night and it was tasty!

Very Grateful: For where I am in my life today. I am grateful to come out of my struggle with infertility feeling entirely blessed. Infertility will always be with me, but knowing that there is a sweet baby growing inside of me despite the odds and numbers against me, I will only encourage those still struggling to never give up, even when you are about to consider it. I was there and here I am pregnant. Always have HOPE!

Looking Forward To: Seeing the baby next week with our ultrasound. Getting the nursery together and getting organized.

Creating: some projects for the baby. I'm thinking of starting a blanket, crocheted or quilted, can't decide!

Chevron quilt tutorial

Chunky Striped Modern Crochet Baby Blanket by OfMoonAndStars
I really want a chevron one for the baby, but I am going to have one made, because I cannot figure it out.

Planning: Putting up the kitchen back splash! Decorating the nursery after we pick a paint color.

Love Love Love

So I will start if today with the fantastic winner of the Voice last night!!! My sister is pretty mad.... Because the girl I picked from the start won!!! And I mean Team Blake Shelton the whole way for the 2nd year in a row!!!! Danielle Bradbery won!! Here is some of her amaze-balls work:

She is like a Taylor Swift combined with Carrie Underwood!! Can't wait for her record!!

Moving on....

I love that instead of making dinner last night as I had planned, I ended up picking up dinner because we had no power. Luckily it came on just in time to watch The Voice.

I love that they changed the flavor of the green skittle. Life changing moment - its now green apple!! Amazing change!!

My Dad's Retirement party is on Friday and guess who has a tonne of clothes in her closet, but still has nothing to wear - that fits. I am hoping that I will be able to wear this dress that I wore in Jamaica:

But it is too big! So I am heading to the farm tonight to get M's Mom to help me take it in! I had only wore it once, so I figure it is worth the repair! I have it in purple too so I am going to have her help me with both!

My garden is growing like a weed, but it is weed free thanks to using the planters instead of the garden! My beans and corn are taking off!! I don't see much happening with the carrots, watermelon or lettuce compared to the corn and beans.

The rest of the week evenings are going to be busy! We have dinner at the farm tonight, baseball tomorrow night, Dad's retirement party and baseball right after!

Currently...

I am reading: The Memory Keeper's Daughter.... I am only on page 52... hopefully I will get back to it now!

Listening to:
Missy Higgins - Where I Stood

and
Even If It Breaks Your Heart by Eli Young Band:

Thinking About: Editing the pictures I took on the weekend. Or suntanning!

Loving: That the long weekend is here!! The weather. My family and friends

Drinking: Somersby Ciders, M&M Peach Juice and loving water lately!

Watching: Chicago Fire, bummed with the series finale of 90210, Grey's Anatomy, I started watching the original 90210 on netflix, and The Voice.

Missing: The kids!! It was soo much fun to have them around!!

And the dogs miss Hannah too!!!

(Gracie managed to get on my duvet.... little bum!)

Need to: Do some sewing and figure out what to bake for heading to the lake on Sunday!! I also need to figure out outfits I can wear that will hide this bruising.... the weather is warm - not long sleeve and pant weather now! No complaints though!

Cooking: It's BBQ season!! So I am really just making a lot of salads, pasta salads, different ways to make potatoes and baking!

Yesterday the dogs loved those peanut butter banana cookies!! I'm not sure if they like them cooked more or just the dough!!

Very Grateful: For the little things in life. The smiles, the hand holding, the late night chats with my husband. The snuggles with my pets. Since that man went missing, it's makes you realize how short life can be and that even though you may not like where you are this life stage, you have your husband, your family, your pets and your friends! Makes you hold on to them a little tighter during times like these!

Looking Forward To: These bruises being gone so I can sleep on my right side again!! The long weekend and some lake time, although the boat isn't in the water yet. Just being down there is soo relaxing!! Oh and the weather is supposed to actually be nice on a May 24! That never happens!

Creating: some more sewing projects!!

Planning: on putting the pool up in the back yard... we have finally come to an agreement. Putting up the kitchen back splash!

Jerrod Niemann - Only God Could Love You More

This one I just love the lyrics really:
Amelia Lily - You Bring Me Joy

Let's Slow It Down a Bit...

Bruno Mars - When I Was Your Man

Eli Young Band - Even If It Breaks Your Heart

And one of my top fav's to finish it off:

One Direction - Little Things

If I could go back I would make it my wedding song!! M and I totally relate to this song!!

Happy 12-12-12!! This will not happen again until 2101!! Chances are we won't even be around by then either!!

Soo I haven't had the chance to share what I am loving in a while, so here we go!!

I am a HUGE fan of Cassadee Pope on The Voice!! She should definitely be the winner - just sayin'.

Love her version of Stupid Boy - might just be better than Keith's!

I am also loving my sweet little niece Hannah! She had to send me a picture of her hair after her nap! She just recently cut her hair off (it was down to her bum):

And after her nap:

Love that little girl soo stinkin' much!!

I decided to make her 3 special cookies for a special 3 year old and she told me "I'm 3 and a half!"

I am still not done icing these damn cookies!! Green and Yellow are left, but here is how the red and white look:

Not bad for my first attempt?

I also love that I have started our vacation searc

I am also loving how awesome these would be:
