What I'm Loving: Luke Bryan

Just as I promised, a whole post on my latest obsession.... Luke Bryan!

Last Friday my sister, along with a few friends headed to Hamilton to see Luke Bryan! Seriously, hands down the best concert I've been to! The opening acts were actually really good too being Dustin Lynch who sings:

Where It's At

My Favorite:

Cowboys And Angels

along with:
She Cranks My Tractor
Hell Of A Night

Along with so many others, we were actually able to sing along to most of his music! He wasn't bad to look at either:

Up next was Randy Houser, granted he was a louder performer, we still knew his songs, which included:

Like A Cowboy

Goodnight Kiss

and soo many more that I loved like:
How Country Feels
Boots On
Running Out of Moonlight

But best was seriously last, Luke gave a heartfelt performance, especially when he sang the song Drink A Beer, which always has me on the verge of tears. He was such a humble performer, and just seemed blown away that everyone was there for him! He sang quite a few of my favorites and I was really bummed when we didn't find a tshirt stand. This man sings from the soul and his smile just beams and you can't help but to smile. I don't have anything bad to say about him.

Of course we enjoyed watching him shake it and we're really bummed we couldn't see him again in London on Sunday. I seriously just love him so much!

So much so, I have started watching his you tube channel.

Have you ever been soo moved by a concert that you just want to know more about a person?

{ What I am Loving }

A rainy Wednesday it is, but I am well rested because the little Mr. slept all night last night!! Which tops todays list of the things I am loving!!

- I love that some days my cheeks actually hurt from smiling soo much. Who knew that this little boy could cause soo much joy. I am the happiest I have been in a loooong time!

- I love that the dogs are starting to take more interest in Noah during mat time and the cats are loving him more too. Including Jazz - who gets kicked constantly because she likes to sit beside him and purr. Clearly her happy pills are working.

- I love this pic of Gracie from yesterday morning:

- I am loving white chocolate brownies. I had one at Moxie's on the weekend for the first time and now I want more! I found this recipe on Pinterest and might have to try it!
White Chocolate Brownies

- I am struggling with wearing my hair down lately because I get annoyed with it when nursing, so I have been trying to find cute ways to tie it back. I came across this one and I love it!
twisted bun

- I am loving that the first ball game of the season is Friday!!

- I love that the results of my x-ray have finally showed that my ankle fracture has healed. It doesn't explain the pain or the swelling and bruising, but I at least know I won't sustain more damage by exercising again. I will just have to deal with it and push on!

- I think Noah and I are going to have to get crafting and make this for his nursery:
Nautical Anchor Footprint Canvas Art with Print Kit, Stripe, 12x12", by SnowFlowerArts, Any Color, $34.00

I have never made my own canvas art! Anyone have any tips?

- I would also love to make these:

Family handprint, so sweet!

But I think I will have to then make a new gallery wall to showcase them, which I am considering doing on my staircase going upstairs like this one:
I love the idea of making a photo collage over the staircase.

- I am loving the duet by Blake Shelton and Shakira called Medicine:

I hope everyone is having a great day, we are off to the vet today for shots and blood work.

Love Love Love

So I will start if today with the fantastic winner of the Voice last night!!! My sister is pretty mad.... Because the girl I picked from the start won!!! And I mean Team Blake Shelton the whole way for the 2nd year in a row!!!! Danielle Bradbery won!! Here is some of her amaze-balls work:

She is like a Taylor Swift combined with Carrie Underwood!! Can't wait for her record!!

Moving on....

I love that instead of making dinner last night as I had planned, I ended up picking up dinner because we had no power. Luckily it came on just in time to watch The Voice.

I love that they changed the flavor of the green skittle. Life changing moment - its now green apple!! Amazing change!!

My Dad's Retirement party is on Friday and guess who has a tonne of clothes in her closet, but still has nothing to wear - that fits. I am hoping that I will be able to wear this dress that I wore in Jamaica:

But it is too big! So I am heading to the farm tonight to get M's Mom to help me take it in! I had only wore it once, so I figure it is worth the repair! I have it in purple too so I am going to have her help me with both!

My garden is growing like a weed, but it is weed free thanks to using the planters instead of the garden! My beans and corn are taking off!! I don't see much happening with the carrots, watermelon or lettuce compared to the corn and beans.

The rest of the week evenings are going to be busy! We have dinner at the farm tonight, baseball tomorrow night, Dad's retirement party and baseball right after!

Currently...

I am reading: The Memory Keeper's Daughter.... I am only on page 52... hopefully I will get back to it now!

Listening to:
Missy Higgins - Where I Stood

and
Even If It Breaks Your Heart by Eli Young Band:

Thinking About: Editing the pictures I took on the weekend. Or suntanning!

Loving: That the long weekend is here!! The weather. My family and friends

Drinking: Somersby Ciders, M&M Peach Juice and loving water lately!

Watching: Chicago Fire, bummed with the series finale of 90210, Grey's Anatomy, I started watching the original 90210 on netflix, and The Voice.

Missing: The kids!! It was soo much fun to have them around!!

And the dogs miss Hannah too!!!

(Gracie managed to get on my duvet.... little bum!)

Need to: Do some sewing and figure out what to bake for heading to the lake on Sunday!! I also need to figure out outfits I can wear that will hide this bruising.... the weather is warm - not long sleeve and pant weather now! No complaints though!

Cooking: It's BBQ season!! So I am really just making a lot of salads, pasta salads, different ways to make potatoes and baking!

Yesterday the dogs loved those peanut butter banana cookies!! I'm not sure if they like them cooked more or just the dough!!

Very Grateful: For the little things in life. The smiles, the hand holding, the late night chats with my husband. The snuggles with my pets. Since that man went missing, it's makes you realize how short life can be and that even though you may not like where you are this life stage, you have your husband, your family, your pets and your friends! Makes you hold on to them a little tighter during times like these!

Looking Forward To: These bruises being gone so I can sleep on my right side again!! The long weekend and some lake time, although the boat isn't in the water yet. Just being down there is soo relaxing!! Oh and the weather is supposed to actually be nice on a May 24! That never happens!

Creating: some more sewing projects!!

Planning: on putting the pool up in the back yard... we have finally come to an agreement. Putting up the kitchen back splash!

Little Things

I thought it was about time to share some of my favorite songs with you all!! There has been a good mix lately!! So here we go:

Gary Allan - Every Storm

Lee Brice - I Drive Your Truck

Eli Young Band - Say Goodnight

I know these have all been country so far, but I promise they aren't all country!! A lot of them are though, but the lyrics are amazing!

Jerrod Niemann - Only God Could Love You More

This one I just love the lyrics really:
Amelia Lily - You Bring Me Joy

Let's Slow It Down a Bit...

Bruno Mars - When I Was Your Man

Eli Young Band - Even If It Breaks Your Heart

And one of my top fav's to finish it off:

One Direction - Little Things

If I could go back I would make it my wedding song!! M and I totally relate to this song!!

High Five for This Friday

Happy Friday Friends!!

A great week it was!

The Everyday Joys

1.
I missed blogging yesterday because I was baking!! I managed to make more banana chocolate chunk muffins at M's request. They even have muffin tops:

2.
I also attempted banana bread bites but in all honesty they are like banana chocolate chip cookies, minus all the sugar that is in cookies!! M is a fan!!

3.
My sister found another chevron good!!! A blanket!! It should be in my possession tonight!!

4.
I'm winning the battle with Gracie's eating. Wednesday night I taught her about bribery. I took away her bed (which she loves) until she ate. She decided to eat right away. Her bed and her bone mean the most to her. Last night she ate her whole bowl no problem!! Winning!!

5.
I am alo super excited to announce I have met my first weight goal!!! 15 pounds gone!! I don't even miss them. My fitness pal told me I needed to make a new goal so I have decided on another 5 pounds to go! I also think I may have convinced my husband to try a Zumba class at home with me from online! I might just burn more calories laughing than exercising!! Found this on Pinterest:

A guy actually instructs the class!!

Have a great weekend friends!!

Busy, Yet Productive

Well the first weekend of the new year has passed and sure enough it was a good one!

Friday night was spent relaxing, low key and dinner was already made by my awesome MIL - she made us shepherds pie! Yum! M watched The Dark Night Rises and I looked through travel books and finished crocheting yet another dish cloth! Oh and you will all be entertained by this video of Lux - aka crazy cat.
He was fine until he noticed me video taping him...

Saturday morning M worked, so I folded laundry and read a little of Bittersweet by Shauna Niequist. When M got home we decided to goto Costco and buy our backsplash for the kitchen, so we measured what we needed and off we went.

Costco is a dangerous store - let me tell you!! We not only bought our new back splash:

But we also bought a new couch for the basement:

It even has a chevron pattern:

You go to that store for one thing and leave with way more than that.

We then went out for dinner to Turtle Jacks before heading home.

When we got home we said "See ya later plaid couch".

The room of hand me downs is being replaced slowly! We are soo very grateful for everyone who helped furnished our house that was full of empty rooms, but it is also nice to be able to put our own touch on those rooms now.

Sunday we went into town, bought some groceries, went upstairs and organized, purged (another bag of stuff gone) and I am happy to say that our guest bedroom is now ready for guests - who is coming over?!

After dinner I had a shower and that made chocolate chunk banana muffins from scratch. Yum!!

Happy Monday friends!

Love on 12-12-12

Happy 12-12-12!! This will not happen again until 2101!! Chances are we won't even be around by then either!!

Soo I haven't had the chance to share what I am loving in a while, so here we go!!

I am a HUGE fan of Cassadee Pope on The Voice!! She should definitely be the winner - just sayin'.

Love her version of Stupid Boy - might just be better than Keith's!

I am also loving my sweet little niece Hannah! She had to send me a picture of her hair after her nap! She just recently cut her hair off (it was down to her bum):

And after her nap:

Love that little girl soo stinkin' much!!

I decided to make her 3 special cookies for a special 3 year old and she told me "I'm 3 and a half!"

I am still not done icing these damn cookies!! Green and Yellow are left, but here is how the red and white look:

Not bad for my first attempt?

I also love that I have started our vacation searc

I am also loving how awesome these would be:

Frozen Smores Cups:

I am loving the idea of donating my photography time to shelters to help along with adoptions:

I think it would help make a difference!! This might just end up on my bucket list for the new year!!
Thank you Pinterest for this awesome idea for a way to give back!

I love this sweater and would like one ASAP!! Just need to find one!
