Weekend Rewind

Well I can actually say that this weekend we accomplished quite a bit in the Christmas department!!

Friday in the day Noah and I went shopping! We didn't get as much as we wanted to get, but we were able to cross a few things off the list!! Noah found it to be exhausting, but wouldn't fall asleep in the mall! 

Saturday morning I put on my brave face and finally trimmed Noah's hair! It was crazy long around his ears, yet I was soo nervous to do it! So he had his first hair cut! No tears from either of us!! 

Then Noah and I got ready to goto my cousins baby shower. You can sort of see the new way I mentioned I have been curling my hair that I mentioned last week: 

We headed to Guelph, hit up the new Costco there first and believe it our not I was in and out in 15 minutes - on a Saturday!!! Oh and gas was only $1!! The shower was good! Noah was a ham the whole time, but he was soo good!! Here he is with my cousin and the newest little to-be!! 

Crazy to think there will be another new baby in the family come January!! 

Saturday evening Noah hung out with Daddy - I was chopped liver because I had been with him all day!! 

Sunday morning we packed up and headed out for a day of Christmas shopping!! Noah was a trooper, but I am happy to say we are 90% done with just a few more things and stocking stuffers to go!! When we got home we played with Noah and then got everything ready to wrap! We did a little Pinterest project that worked for the most part, but I forgot to shape it first! So we might try again, but here's how it looks:

After Noah went down we finished wrapping all but one big one and are about 75% finished wrapping!! Needless to say we are waiting for stuff to come in the mail! I will say it was soo crazy to see this tag popping up from last year!! 

We put everything under the tree as far back as we could to help keep Noah from wanting over there! 

Overall it was a very Christmas-y weekend!!! Can't believe it will be Noah's first Christmas soo soon!

{ What I am Loving }

A rainy Wednesday it is, but I am well rested because the little Mr. slept all night last night!! Which tops todays list of the things I am loving!!

- I love that some days my cheeks actually hurt from smiling soo much. Who knew that this little boy could cause soo much joy. I am the happiest I have been in a loooong time!

- I love that the dogs are starting to take more interest in Noah during mat time and the cats are loving him more too. Including Jazz - who gets kicked constantly because she likes to sit beside him and purr. Clearly her happy pills are working.

- I am loving white chocolate brownies. I had one at Moxie's on the weekend for the first time and now I want more! I found this recipe on Pinterest and might have to try it!

- I am struggling with wearing my hair down lately because I get annoyed with it when nursing, so I have been trying to find cute ways to tie it back. I came across this one and I love it!

- I am loving that the first ball game of the season is Friday!! 

- I love that the results of my x-ray have finally showed that my ankle fracture has healed. It doesn't explain the pain or the swelling and bruising, but I at least know I won't sustain more damage by exercising again. I will just have to deal with it and push on!

Finally Friday!!

Today as you are reading this (if your reading in the morning), I'm off at my first OB appointment! I am pretty excited to finally have a doctor to manage not only the best care for myself but for the baby as well! 

Then after that appointment we have our ultrasound!! Soo excited to see the baby again! It will have grown soo much since we saw it last at 9 weeks!! 

I cut over 5 inches off my hair! I haven't had my hair this short in a long time, but I love it!! 

My Dad is back home, we moved him into his new place and it us absolutely perfect for him!!

I could put it on her when she steals leafs from outside and then shreds them throughout the house! Maybe if she was wearing said hair ornament I would get soo frustrated with her? 

M and I will be making our October to-do list this weekend! 

Alison had the sweetest baby girl this week! Although I live too far to meet her, I've seen the most adorable, sweet, baby girl pictures and I couldn't be more proud of Alison to have finally met her goal of having a baby! It may have taken longer than it should have, but Delainey was definitely worth the wait!! Congrats again Alison, Justin and Cruz!

MAY is HERE!!

Soo happy that May has arrived!! This means more warm weather and well what can I say... she is starting it off right with a sunny 22!!

 

This month starts off ball season!!! I love watching me some ball!! It sucks not playing this year, but I will get over it!! M has a game tomorrow night and Friday night!!

 

I have started a new book after finishing the one I mentioned yesterday! If you missed it, check out the review! You won't want to miss it! I have started The Memory Keeper's Daughter while soaking up the sun in my porch rocker!
 

 

Yesterday I braved a new hair dresser and I am not sorry!! I am soo happy with how it turned out!!

 

Minus the car pic quality... clearly there is some work to do on self portraits! ha!

 

 I am looking forward to enjoying the nice weather May is going to bring! More on that to come!

Also I have my sister in full swing with her jewelry store!! She only has 5 necklaces to make me right now! Can't wait to share her new designs with you all!! And maybe a little give away to kick things off!! What do you think?

• It is cold out - like REALLY cold...

-17... the windchill though makes it feel like -28. Yuck!!! and Brrr...

• So we are staying at a hotel this week and decided to go for a swim last night and soak in the the hot tub. My lovely husband hit the panic button instead of the button that turns on the jets... Yes... it really happened and you bet there was an audience. No one came to the rescue though, M had to go to the front desk and tell someone, who then reassured him it happens all the time and shut it off. Nonetheless humorous.

• We had a nice dinner at The Keg last night!!! This nice warm fireplace kept us warm!!

• I am officially First Aid Certified again. Yesterday was a long day sitting in the first aid class... like really long... long want to pull your hair out, is time really passing.. long. But I aced the test and they certified me!

A Weekend with Photos!

Wow this weekend was busy, but great!!

Friday night was low key, go caught up on some TV, finally hung my calendar, it was great.

Saturday we were awake by 8:30 when M's fire pager awoke us. When M got back from the call we started rearranging the basement! Happy to say the couch is in its home, and we need a new tv... ours is too big!!

 

 

Then we decided to put away all of the Christmas totes, yet keeping the bins we had not gone through separate. While rearranging bins in the back basement, I found these:

 



 

These are our wedding favours for all of our guests. My Dad hand engraved them all. Such an amazing keepsake to have found that brought back many fond memories of our wedding day!!

 

Once we finished, M decided to go outside and take down all the Christmas decor while it was nice and warm out. While he was doing that I made new covers for the new cat bed. They love it!

 



M and I watched the movie The Silver Lining - can't say we liked it it! It was soo slow!!

Around 11:00 we decided to go for a late night walk in the fog and take advantage of the warm weather! It was soo foggy we could barely see the dogs in front of us:

 

Sunday morning we decided to swap chairs with my Dad. He took the snuggly double recliner and I took his leather rocker/recliner. It fits soo much better in our great room! The other chair was just too big and well let's face it, didn't quite go with our decor:



 

 

Then we stopped back into Zellars and bought blinds 50% off, as well as this chair:

 



 

 

The deals are great. I was never really a Zellars shoppers, but now that it is being liquidated, the prices are great!! I just wish Target was coming. Luckily there is one coming near where I work!

 

We finally celebrated Christmas with my Dad. My curls are starting to work out better, but clearly I need to watch some tutorials.

Our weekend was great!! It feels great to be accomplishing soo much around the house! Another bonus would be that my lawn is officially green again and most of the snow around is gone!! Unfortunately the weather is getting colder again. I will get over it - it is January after all!

Finally Friday

Yup - totally missed Thursday!! Oops!! Work was super busy!!

It was our first day of clinic with the new office!! It was also my first day back to work after the holidays!

Sooo are we ready for some randoms from the week?

This is my 600th POST!!! Wow!! Crazy to think I have had something to say for pretty much 600 days... probably not all that crazy when you think of it that way!

Bought myself a new curling iron last night - one with a clip in hopes that I will not burn myself! And what a deal I got - a $100 curling iron for $40! Winners!!!

And the curls turned out pretty awesome!! And I didn't burn myself... And it only took my 15 minutes! Score!

While I was there I also finally got the dogs new food bowls! They have been in desperate need, their bowls were actually chipping. The cats also got a new bed!

Today was a happy mail day!! Got my old navy order, my chapters order, and apparently a delivery came in after I picked up this morning for my urban planet order. Love boxing week sales!

Skittles = newest addiction! It's bad!

I am still crocheting dish clothes! I think I will make 3 more!

I am loving my new foundation Aubrey from The Kinch Life recommended: Maybelline Matte Mouse! It is awesome and actually covers for the whole day! I am hoping I won't need it as frequently since I started taking Evening Primrose Oil supplements!

I am looking forward to TV starting back up next week, although I did enjoy Parenthood, Law and Order:SVU, and of course Chicago Fire!

I am really wishing that someone would do a tutorial for those super cute beach waves or the curl away from the face! I don't even know if that description did it any justice.... I attempted it this morning, but it's still just not quite what I envision!

I still need to put up my 2013 calendar! I'm only a few days behind!

I'm looking forward to purging the upstairs this weekend!! Wish us luck!

I am super excited for Katie who is expecting her first little miracle!! Best wishes for a healthy and happy pregnancy!!!

Oh and a random question - how do you people add pics to your blog and place them from your iPad? I am struggling - hence the no photos lately!!

Loves and Laughs

Ok so we all know fall is pretty much my favorite season. If only they could integrate summer weather with fall colors - I would be in heaven!

So here are some of the things I am loving:

- I love that I have my first FALL photo shoot of the year tomorrow!! And the weather is supposed to co-operate! Makes me a happy girl!!

- I love my husband so much! Especially when he walks into screen doors. You bet there is a story behind this. I had went out yesterday afternoon with K to Michael's - dangerous! I had the screen door shut, as it was really nice out. When I left the house, I had just shut the main door and was on my way. Later that night - like 11 PM, M opens the door to let the dogs out and went to go out on the deck and just walked right into the screen. We are talking face pressed sideways on the screen, full-fledged walk. I am lucky to still have a screen. To say I laughed at this would be an understatement. He was laughing too! It was humorous!! Yes, it was my fault but in my offence I had forgotten about it as well! Either way we both had a good laugh!

- I love Zumba! Had a blast last night and felt great afterwards!! Hoping I can make it to Yoga tomorrow night!

- We are having our thanksgiving dinner at the farm tomorrow night. I am making cherry cheesecake!! Yum!

- I am just about finished the dishcloth!! This is soo exciting!!
