Weekend Rewind

Wow, another weekend zoomed on by and it was nothing short of fun fun fun!

Friday night was low key. I ran into town to get a few groceries and cake supplies and came home to a child-free hour since M took Noah out with him to do running around. M came home, got Noah ready for bed and then in bed and headed back out to finish running his errands, aka socializing haha. Pretty sure I was in bed by 10:30.

Saturday morning involved a sleep in for me, even though I didn't wake up feeling rested after trying a new pregnancy pillow that I officially hate. I headed up to the nursery and took down all the wall decor so we could see any holes needing to be patched and went through a few bins. Fingers crossed next weekend I get the baby clothes freshly laundered and put away. M and Noah went outside for a bit,  managed to finally get the Christmas decor down from outside.

Saturday afternoon I decided to take advantage of our double digit temps and sunshine and hit up the hot tub for some vitamin D!

Gracie enjoyed laying on the grass since the snow miraculously melted overnight!! Love warm days in February and I'm soo ready to be done with winter and snow and bring on spring!!

I made Noah's cupcakes and my Mom showed up just in time to help tame our wild child... He was just hopping from one thing to the next... A little reading one minute...

Cleaning the next, which I will never complain about!

He had a melt down when M left to help set up for the firemans wing night, which set off a huge red flag for when I was going to leave. Ever since Florida Noah has had some huge separation anxiety issues. When it came time for me to leave he had a huge melt down, blocked the door, hugged my leg, turned down my bribes of peppa pig and smarties, etc. It was horrible and there is nothing worse than leaving your child soo upset. I finally made it out the door, forgetting my ticket on the fridge... Which I wasn't going back for. I drove around the block for about 5 minutes and called the house to see if it was safe for me to goto the wing night. He had just stopped crying, so off I went! It was fun! Even with M being there, it ended up being more of a girls night out for me because M was busy helping. This baby loved the music and dancing, but I will tell you the amount of Braxton and Hicks I felt that night was insane!! I feel like my belly was constantly tight and I did feel soo uncomfortable.

Believe it or not I made it right till the end and didn't get to bed until after 1:30 AM!! I am still paying for this now! Soo tired and my body is just feeling rested after sleep these days. Noah had a great night with my Mom, which was good to hear despite the rough start. M popped home to put him to bed and brought my Mom some wings.

Sunday morning despite wanting to keep on sleeping, I was up by 9, knowing I had my sisters fam coming over around 10. I had to vacuum yet again because Gracie is shedding like a beast these days with the weather bouncing back and forth. I also had to get the cupcakes iced!! I decided to do peppa pig cupcakes, granted they ended up looking like pigs, not exactly peppa, but Noah got the idea!

I decided to try to use up all my icing and ended up with these swirl cupcakes as well!!

Needless to say we had a great morning with family, it was nice and quiet and peaceful, the kids all played well and was great quality time!

Noah loved his gifts as well! He got the IKEA train sets, a fish to swim in the bath tub (but it didn't work, so we will exchange that on Friday), he got a Gordan track master train and a bus! He loved all of it and enjoyed playing the day away with them all!

His reactions were just the best this year and I'm kind of sad that the birthday celebrations are done because this year he really just enjoyed it all!

We did grilled cheese for lunch (Noah's request of course) and everyone left just shortly after 1, just intime for Noah to have a nap - oh and me too!!

Noah just played the afternoon and evening away with his new toys:

We took advantage of a Sunday Family Selfie. Squinty, tired eyes for this mama!!

He found a way to p,any with all his new toys at once!

He also tried to play with the fishy that didn't work! Hopefully he forgets about it until we can replace it! It is supposed to swim around in the tub with him!

And there you have it! We are back to Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Noah's First Easter Weekend [weekend rewind]

Noah had another super busy weekend filled with 4 days of fun! I will start off by saying how nice the 20 degree weather was all weekend long! It makes today's rain not so bad!

Friday S&K came over in the morning with W for a visit. The guys looked at our roof and sure enough it is going to need some work this summer! We had a great visit and W enjoyed some fun baby snuggles with Noah!

Once they left, I enjoyed my first bath in the new tub, as well as my first bath in this house!! It was great!!

Friday we had dinner at the farm! Mike's parents invited my sisters family and my parents over for dinner. It was soo nice having our family all together, especially for Noah's First Easter! I might have mentioned we should do this once a year!!

Noah was spoiled by Grandpa and had his first taste of ice cream - black cherry, Grandpa's favorite! Fun was had by all!! My Mom stayed over both Friday night and Saturday night.

Friday night was the first night Noah slept ALL night long!! Celebrations were had!! So proud of our little man!!

Saturday we worked on the garage, it flooded when all the snow melted for some reason and we had a lot of card board on the ground. Needless to say we had a mess! We got a lot of it cleaned up, but the garage is far from clean yet. We did get a good start before we had to goto Easter celebration #2 with my Mom's extended family. I did find myself a new bottle of wine to enjoy:

Noah slept great again, not quite all night, but soo close!!

Sunday morning we took pictures of Noah and his Easter loot! We went with clothes this year, since we all know I won't be able to do that again!! Grandma gave him the basket, the bunny that us actually the same size as him haha, and the books!

This picture sums up Easter for Noah:

Noah had some playtime with Lux:

We were at the farm for lunch. M's Mom helped me out with making his car seat cover. I just have the straps to finish, maybe this week! M helped his Dad with some yard work and the dogs had a blast running around after the quad and playing in the fields! We went to my Aunts for yet another Easter dinner, which was fun!

M worked Monday morning, but got off around 11, so we could head to London for the final Easter celebration with my Dad's extended family! It was great because my cousin from out west was home visiting!! We had a great visit and were home by 6 after picking up the dogs up from the farm!

Noah did great after having such a busy weekend!! We are soo proud of him! He slept great at night, waking each morning at 4:30 after filling his pants! If he didn't fill his pants at 4:30, he would most likely sleep through the night like he did on Friday night!

So last night we tried moving his last feed up to 9:45pm and having him in bed at 10 - but he still woke at 4:30 on the dot with needing a diaper change!!

Over all we had a great weekend and finished it up with a family photo! I'm not sure how we got Noah looking at the camera and actually smiling, but we did at just 9 weeks old!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend as well!!

22 Weeks

How Far Along:
22 weeks - November 3 - 8, 2013

Size Of Baby?

I actually had to look up what kind of fruit this was, as I didn't recognize it! A papaya!

Baby weighs a pound this week, can see light and dark and hear things going on out in the real world! Some websites are saying I am in my 6th month now, although I thought I was 5 months at 20 weeks? Soo confusing!

Maternity Clothes?
Still mixing in the odd non-maternity shirt! But I will be sticking to my maternity jeans. I have been try to take outfit of the day pics, but I'm not great at it, so bare with me!  I did wear a whole non-maternity outfit this week as well:

I hate the lines maternity jeans leave:

This shirt is non-maternity! Love making older options work still!

Non- maternity sweater that I paired up with a vest afterwards:

Stretch Marks?
None yet.

Gender?
We will find out in March!

Sleep?
The pregnancy wedge is back in use. I have been tossing and turning a lot as well, just unable to get comfy. I also think the baby enjoys wedging itself into my sides, either that or I am growing! But sleep has not been great. As soon as 3 AM hits, I am struggling to fall back to sleep.

Baby Purchases This Week:
My Tracy Anderson Pregnancy Project finally came in! Although I am more than half way through my pregnancy, I figure no time like the present to start it, as it goes by month anyways.

I decided to order Baby V a chevron crocheted blanket, since I can't figure it out and it is done and being sent my way:
Meg from Life Of Meg made it!! Check out her etsy shop here!!

These blankets:

I've been eyeing them up since we found out we were expecting and saw them as the last ones on the rack, so I scooped them!

Needless to say baby will have a lot of blankets, which I am a fan of, nothing better than being cozy! Hopefully the baby likes blankets as much as me!!

Made this Week:
I made my infinity nursing scarf. It might be a bit big, so I may need to move the seam in, but I figure I will wait until baby gets here and go from there, as it only took a few minutes to make!

Still working on the baby blanket I am crocheting!

I also made baby a blanket with chevron minky fabric and cotton anchors! Love the combination but the fabric was a pain in the butt to work with!

Cravings/Aversions?
Loving me some grilled cheese!! I went a whole day without any candy! I shouldn't be bragging about that, but it was a huge accomplishment! I've been horrible about it lately if I am being honest! The box is almost gone and I am actually happy about it!! Cheesies came home again this week!

Movement?
Still kicking up a storm and leaving me guessing what's a kick, a punch and I think I figured out a roll! Also saw my tummy distort in front of my eyes - that was interesting! M felt the baby move again, and this time he was sure! He was soo excited!! I loved that very moment!

Feeling?
The runny nasal drip is back, as well as the sneezing, luckily its not as bad as it was with allergies on top! Oh and nose bleeds that make you wonder if you will bleed out through your nose... Sorry for the TMI but it's bad!

Back pain is back but in my mid-back this time which I'm sure us due to my changing body.

I also started to feel what I believe to be Braxton and hicks contractions, which are entirely normal at this stage. Nothing major or painful, just uncomfortable, but luckily they are quick and don't last! More or less a tightening feeling in the wave of cramps.

Highlights:
This week has been pretty straight forward, just the way I prefer it!

We had a few long days at the beginning of the week, and by the end of the week, I was done on all grounds. I was physically, mentally and emotionally drained!

Making some of the baby projects has been fun though, since the nursery is on hold until M is able to finish painting it!

We hit 120 more days to go this week!!

Crazy to see we are more than half way through the 2nd Trimester too!

Belly Button?
In

Best Moment of the Week?
M feeling the baby kick again, it had been almost 2 weeks since he thought he first felt it and would run over at the chance to feel it, but the baby would stop! Baby ALWAYS kicks when I go to bed, and that is when M finally felt it! It was such a sweet moment, one I will remember forever!

Crazy Pregnancy Moment:

At one of my Mom's doctors appointments at the hospital, the doctor decided to nit show up, soo we ended up leaving to go to another appointment, but before leaving I was sure to tell the receptionist that although it wasn't her fault, if she could pass along the message that this was highly unprofessional and a down right waste of our time and parking money, and that we were not impressed. I tried to remain polite through it, and she assured me she would let the doctor know and asked if we would stop by on the way out of our next appointment to reschedule/ or see him then. So I agreed to that. However Mom's appointment upstairs was 2 hours long, which we were not impressed about. My sister calls me and tells me that this very nice doctor called her at home trying to find mom and that he had missed his appointment with her earlier and was apologizing and was now waiting downstairs to see her if she was still at the hospital. My opinion at that point was good.

Then we go meet the doctor and he was SUPER nice! Part of me hoped that the receptionist didn't let him have it, like I instructed her! Turns out is was a miscommunication between his staff and himself. I actually felt bad!

Bump Pic:
I feel like this dress doesn't photograph well, as I got a lot of compliments in it, but to me this pic doesn't do it justice! I usually wear a belt with it, but with my bump sitting higher it wasn't comfy!

Baby is moving on up, as you can see in this pic!

Looking Forward To:
Getting the blanket in the mail, as well as a special onesie I ordered for the baby!

What a Week!!

Thank God it is Friday!! This week has been one I am glad to see over, not that anything dramatic happened, it was just long!!! Too looong!

Monday was a photo shoot that I was wrapping up for a corporate company, but the staff didn't show up on time, so I was stuck waiting. I was home by 7 PM - shoot was for 3 PM with only 4 people... that should tell you how it went. I'd love to say I was snapping pics the whole time, but that was not the case either. Enough said.

Tuesday I had appointments to take my Mom to and they were long, one doctor didn't show up for the first appointment, but then ended up calling us and meeting us after her other appointment, equaling to another really long day! I left the house at 11 AM and was home by 7 PM. M keeps joking that I am working part-time.

Wednesday I vowed to stay home, and did just that, although I did a ton of housework, as well as some baby crafting!

Thursday I woke up to find that Jazz had peed on the dogs bed. Her first time since being medicated. I was not a happy camper. We had just started her weaning off the medication and was down to every other day. Turns out she will be taking them everyday for life... I called the vet and then went and picked up more of her pills. Jazz has been heavy on my heart lately.

Thursday evening, M attempted to help me with pinning my blanket together to sew, and we were having issues, because when I pre-washed the fabric it must have shrunk to a weird size. We were both super frustrated!

Today, my nose is crazy from nose bleeds to being super sensitive to smells. My scentsy smell that I usually like smells like a cleaner, the cat and dog food is just horrible... the list goes on. It is also snowing again today, mixed with ice pellets, luckily it isn't sticking around. The good news is I went grocery shopping and they had cheesies in stock! They also had these super cute blankets for the baby! I had wanted them since we found out we were expecting! I grabbed the last one on the rack!

Other good news is that we have picked a winner from the give away we were doing for my sister's jewelry. The winner is fellow bump buddy, due just a few weeks before me: Hilary!!! Congrats!!!

This weekend M is in training again for the fire course! Last one! I have a little guys first birthday party to go to and photos to get edited.

Have a great weekend!!!

Weekend Rewind

I feel like I just posted my weekend recap! Seriously time is flying and I know I mentioned that last weekend too.

Friday night we ended up driving to London buy our crib!! We love it! We grabbed dinner afterwards at Jack Astors! Delish!

Saturday I woke up feeling refreshed after sleeping the whole night, a first in a long time. I woke up feeling like a new woman! We celebrated with homemade waffles!!

Then we went straight to work, no play! We finished cleaning the windows (I wasn't able to do the outside or to get some of the screens out, so now we have squeaky clean windows and M had a new chore he likes to do:

We cleaned the main floor of the house and then headed back upstairs to my office. We tackled a bit up there, but then we had to get ready to go for dinner with N & M at Milestones in Cambridge. So of course we hit up target! I found a cute yellow and grey tank and a maternity t-shirt spending a total of $10! Great deal! We didn't really have time to rummage, and the maternity clothes were all in with regular clothes, so I just stuck with what I happened to find!

Dinner was great! It had been a while since we had hung out, so it was nice to catch up! Dinner was good too! We were home by 9 and settled in on the couch and watched No Strings Attached! That movie was great even the 2nd time around.

I lucked out with another great night of sleep, I did get up a few times, but woke feeling rested. I did some more housework, laundry, you know all that fun, while M was helping a friend install a sewer line.

He was home just in time for my cousin to stop in for a visit on her way home! She is a pilot for Air Canada, so she is away often, so it was nice to have a chance to catch up! M took the back-hoe back to the farm, so I packed up the girls in my car and headed over the farm and we took the dogs for a walk to the back of their 100 acre fields. Always a nice walk back there and the dogs love it! Although they have free range when we go there, they get excited to go back with us.

We came home, sat down to relax for a bit and sure enough, just as dinner is just about ready M gets paged out for a medical call. I swear its always when have company, heading somewhere or having a meal - but whatever, duty calls, I wouldn't trade a thing.

After dinner we did end up relaxing.

Today I am off to London again to take Mom to an appointment!

2012 -That's A Wrap!

Before we sum up this year and say farewell to 2012, I'm just gunna do a quick recap of Christmas!

- Christmas Eve was spent with my Mom, and my sisters sweet little fam, as well as Mike of course. We attended church and then went back to my sisters for a turkey dinner. I made lemon meringue tarts for dessert. We opened presents and I did get my gel nail kit!!! Soo pumped to have pretty nails again!! M got a Kuerig and we have been enjoying the hot chocolates and apple ciders so far!!

Here are some pics from the night:

The hats fit!!!

And this one just cracks me up:

- Christmas morning was at the farm:

M spoiled me with a new band for my wedding set:

Love it!!

And M got an iPad, which I will be honest, I am enjoying it!! He also got his helicopter which has been flying around in the house... you bet I am "impressed".

We had dinner at 2:00 with his parents and his Aunt Gay and then we jetted off to my Aunt's.

We played games, ate and drank and it was all fun!! We had everyone in on a game of signals and then spoons. My aunts table didn't fare so well afterwards!

We had to switch to plastic spoons, but it still didn't matter!!

The last week has been fun spending time with friends playing games including our new Dice Poker game!! Soo much fun!! A shopping trip to Ikea, a big snow storm and many discussion over our trip, which we still haven't decided on!!

Yesterday we took all the Christmas decor down - which is early for us, but the cats kept stealing ornaments and let's be honest I want to start Operation Organization 2013 early.

We are off to a great start with 2 bags and a box off to be donated and we haven't even started with our clothes yet!

And to sum up the year 2012, all can say is that:
Pinned Image
because this year certainly wasn't. But I am blessed with my friends, my family, my hubby, my house, my pets and our jobs and for that I will be forever grateful no matter what.

Farewell 2012, it has been a slice...

Happy New Year Friends!!

Winnings/Odds/Ends

Wow, it is Friday - this week just zoomed on by!! I feel like I haven't had a chance to catch up on the happenings of this week!

Yesterday I was busy moving my Mom. My back is now killing me, not sure what happened, but it hurts! I have a love on for my heat pack now!!

I have been a lucky girl this week!! I have won 2 awesome give aways! One from Grin & Barrett, Melissa was kind enough to be giving away a custom "About Me" side bar by the VERY talented Aubrey from The Kinch Life Designs!! Sooo as you can see not only is my old background back, but Aubrey redid my "About Me" side bar and I absolutely LOVE it!! I am soo happy with it!! She also has some great deals on blog design - be sure to check her out!!! Thank you Ladies!!

The 2nd Give Away I won was from Alison!! A gift that she has actually already given me, but now I have one to pass on to someone else! Alison gave me my necklace when we met back in July! I am soo entirely grateful!! It is honestly one of my favorite necklaces for soo many reasons and I am actually wearing it today. I actually wear it most days! It is from The Hudson Foundation. They are a non-profit organization that supports those struggling with infertility. Such an amazing cause!!!

They have a store where you can purchase your own hope necklace, as well as other items and all proceeds go directly to The Hudson Foundation. Amazing!! What a great way to give Hope to anyone who needs it, as well as support this amazing cause! Thank you Alison!!!

My crocheting is getting better!! I am past the half way point I think!!

Oh and remember this picture:

I am happy to announce that as horrible as these treats may be, they were both gone by the time I got home. Soo when M came home, he had to try giving it to them himself, because the picture made him laugh soo hard and we got the same reaction. Can you guess which one ended up eating them?

Gracie... what a trooper!! Lily was having no part of it!! hahaha!

I'll be honest I am not really looking forward to finish moving my Mom, but c'est la vie!! M also agreed to play in an old fashioned baseball game on Sunday. No gloves or bats... not to sure how the game is player, but it should be entertaining and it is on London, where I will be anyways!!

These Scentsy Buddy Buy 1 Get 1 Free deals are going crazy!!! Over $26000.00 sold in just buddies alone YESTERDAY!!! It is a crazy awesome deal and make for great gifts!!!! Interested? Let me know!! Awesome deal!!

Happy weekend friends!!
