This week has been a bit crazy, a bit stressful, and to be honest it is ending perfectly with being home with the hubby today!!
What happened? Well I will share a bit of it with you!
Yesterday happened! It started after a decent nights sleep (finally) when I went to have a shower and it wouldn't drain. Oh did I forget to mention I was showering in Mikes bathroom where there s just a stall? Ya that sucks but then the toilets wouldn't flush either!
I might have mentioned that we ad a plumber here last week to fix a different plumbing issue on the roof... Something regarding the pipe on the roof... Whatever it was fixed. The was an entirely different issue have to do with the pipes in the ground!
So I told Mike he needed to fix it. His Dad was in town and picked up a snake to fish through the system but it wasn't long enough! So he went into town to get a longer one, but while e was in town he got a fire call, not just a typical medical call but an actual fire in one of the houses in the village. So he grabbed the right snake and safely rushed back into the village to the scene!
A friend of mine sent me this picture, as I was working:
Luckily no one was home or injured and the house is still standing, although damaged! The fire started in the basement!
Soo needless to say, my plumbing issue was still an issue when I got home! I called my Dad and had him on stand by to come out and fix it or help Mike!
M finally got home around 7:30 exhausted, but still managed to fix the issue with my Dad, which involved digging a hole to the septic tank in the backyard and almost losing my Dad's sewer camera, but it ended up fixed, the camera safe and sound and plumbing issue fixed! We have working plumbing again!!
M ended up putting is back out in the process last night so I showed him how to some yoga stretches! I tried to take pics for your viewing pleasure, but he deleted them!
So today it is gorgeous out! We managed to get some stuff done around the house!
Hope everyone has a great safe and sound Easter weekend!!

It's Over!!
Soo happy to announce that this yeast cleanse is officially over!!
WE DID IT!!!
We went back to the naturopath last night for another blood test. My B12/Folate anemia has improved 100% on the supplements! So I will continue with those! The yeast was completely gone!! He did notice that I was tired... who knew your blood could tell someone that? But it was true! I had barely slept all weekend with this cold! I am finally noticing some improvement symptom wise today!
So the plan is to keep taking the B12/Folate supplement, as well as the probiotic. Everything else will go back to normal. We didn't eat unhealthy before, but we will keep a conscious eye on what we eat.
A lot of people wonder why we are not continuing yeast free. It's just not for us! M relies on a sandwich to eat when he is in the field at work. He can only eat soo many fruits and veggies, he needs substance. I am a picky eater and did not find a lot of foods I enjoyed while on the cleanse. My blood sugar was continuously low and in all honesty I felt like crap the entire time! I need calcium, as my bones were aching to the point where I am considering taking Caltrate.
There were aspects that we did enjoy like paying close attention to the stuff we do eat. We will continue to avoid soy, as well as artificial sweeteners like sucralose, so no more crystal light. We will keep up smaller portions, because let's face it my stomach has shrunk!!
Let's get to the fun stuff...
Total Weight Loss on The Cleanse: 15 pounds
Total Weight Loss since January 2013: 30 pounds!!
Total inches lost since January 2013: 13.5 overall! (I found some previous measurements)
I am incredibly surprised that we completed this cleanse. I am impressed with the results, but most of all happy that it worked and can't wait to eat normally again.
It's amazing what you can do when you set your mind to it!

Weekend Update
This weekend was a bit rough. I ended up getting M's cold and it hit me pretty hard. It also sucked not being able to have any comfort foods or gingerale! But I survived!! I think the one thing that allowed me to survive is that we have completed this cleanse!!
We go back tonight to the naturopath!! Hoping to hear that not only has the yeast cleared up, but that my B12 and folate levels have improved!! Fingers crossed!!
Friday night was went the cold caught on, luckily after I was home from work. I played Dr. Mario against my sister over wiFi on the Wii! That was fun, we actually did that a lot this weekend!! I would have went to bed earlier though if I had any clue how rough my night was going to be. I may have cheated on the cleanse a little bit with cough syrup. But it was necessary!!
Saturday I slept in and then told my sister about a little something I had been planning... Girl's Weekend on the stateside!! We are going shopping. Can not wait!! We grabbed some groceries. M fixed my tap again in the bath tub, it went from nice, to not so nice, to redneck to ghetto now.
Sunday we went into town and watched my cousins badminton tournament. We did laundry and house work as well.
The weather was nice enough to wear my newest target purchase:

I haven't figured out why my right foot was swollen, but it is fine now!
Pretty boring weekend if you ask me, but luckily today I am feeling a bit better compared to the weekend.

Spring DIY
Today I will sharing some projects I plan to complete this spring!
As I have mentioned the kitchen counters. We actually found an old sample we had liked a while ago and guess what... it was the same color/name/brand! Glad to know we liked it from the start!
I plan to make a new spring wreath and I finally found a tutorial for one!! Here it is:
I don't have a foam wreath though, I have one of those twiggy wreathes, so I might twist the burlap around instead and add some spring colors to it. We shall see what my creativity creates!
I also plan to make some pillows with my new fabric:
I plan to make this for my kitchen window, obviously not with elephants...
I also have a lot of clothes to take in and I found this tutorial:
We also need to paint our planters with chalkboard paint as I mentioned the other day.
Lot's of projects on the go!!

Spring Bucket List
This week I will be linking up with a bunch of my favorite bloggers who have all gone together and started a Spring Link Up!!! Soo fun!!
But before we get to that...they discuss our weekend shall we? Our weekend was pretty good, we did get the new door hung in the mudroom, I didn't bother with a pic because let's be honest, it is just a door, but I do love it!!
Saturday I went and got a manicure!! It was great, while I was doing that M went and did some running around, came back to pick me up and surprised me with these:
A beautiful spring bouquet!!
We changed the bed linens, as well as the duvet cover.
The color of the duvet actually matches my walls bang on!!
We have 1 week left in this cleanse and cannot wait to be finished!! I'm sure you are all sick of listening to me complain about it!!
Our weekend was great though, we got a lot accomplished, including a budget to see how much we spend monthly. It was great to see it all laid out! Our financial advisor will be impressed, knowing that we have never budgeted, yet still ended up on the plus side of the equation!! Crazy to see how much we spend yearly on things like pets, bills, and groceries.
Now on to the spring link up!! Today's Topic:
SPRING BUCKET LIST
We plan to plant our own veggies, herbs and some fruit in planters on our patio!! I hope to be able to paint my planters with chalkboard paint and label what is growing in each section! Similar to this:
But mine will be round big planters! We have some left over from our wedding!
We plan to install the new kitchen counters, new back splash, new hardware if we can ever agree to it, new faucets, and maybe a new sink.
We plan to refinish the bathroom vanity we purchased and install it into M's bathroom.
We plan to finish the cleanse so I can back to baking all sorts of goodies from pinterest, as well as being able to eat with family and friends for Easter
I plan to make a new spring wreath!!
We plan to finish sorting out bins in the basement.
We plan to finish organizing the spare bedroom! We are just about finished!!
I need to reorganize my office/sewing room. It looks like a scentsy bomb has hit it!
I plan to make some new pillows for the couch!!
M plans to start playing ball!! I am going to miss playing myself this year, but my health comes first!
We plan to be able to sit back and relax at some point as well!!
The dogs plan to play in the mud I am sure, as well as any puddles they can find! Shouldn't be hard over at the farm!
I think it is going to be a great spring! Now if it would just hurry up and get here already!!

Fabulous Friday
Yippee skippy it is Friday!! The day we all long for!!
This week has been pretty good, better than last week!! What went down? Let's take a look!!
- we ordered new counter tops for the kitchen. We were originally going to do concrete counter tops, however we have changed our mind due to the fact that this is not our forever home and we needed just a simple, inexpensive fix to update our kitchen. We got a fantastic deal!! I brought home 6 different samples:
- Another thing that makes this Friday fabulous is that I am off!! I was also off yesterday and was able to hang out with one of my friends that I do not get to see often enough, along with her little guy! It was great to catch up!!
- I am getting a manicure tomorrow!! This will be the first one in 7 months!! I've been doing them at home myself and I will continue, but I need to scope out a new product. I plan on making a mental note with what product they use and then I will order me some!!
- I am loving this necklace that I got from my sister:

- I have hit the 25 pound mark! I wish I had been measuring how many inches I have lost. I actually weigh less that I did on my wedding day! This was not exactly planned... but I will take it with no complaints!
- Looking forward to completing a small little update with the house this weekend! A new mudroom door to match our bedroom door!! We have a french door leading to our bedroom from the dining room and the mudroom also leads from the dining room, so we will purchase a matching door!
- I have hopped on the band wagon and I am now using BlogLovin' and I am honestly asking myself why did I wait soo long? You can find me HERE.

Haunted
We have started leaving the dogs out of their room when we leave the house lately and if I can just be honest, this idea haunts me the whole time while I am away from the house!
Why you ask?
How could such a cute puppy haunt me?
Well Lily was a horrible puppy... like a Marley... speaking of Marley, she like him sooo much she ate the book. She also managed to destroy a coffee table and chew up our old kitchen floor... ya great times!!
She also had a love for shoes... never ate Daddy's, just Mommy's
She then was kenneled when we left the house.
Once we moved to this house we decided to start leaving them in the mud room because little Miss Lily is a Houdini and can get out of her kennel... you ask how does a 100 pound dog get out of a kennel? She bends up the metal... ya, she is inventive!!
But then there was Gracie... the garden destructer, base board chewing, cable chewing puppy! When we started leaving her in her kennel we would leave a bed, because who wants to lie on plastic? Well she not only chewed her bed, she also chewed her plastic lining... who needs the toys that were left in there?
See this bed... she chewed it!!
The car is also an issue!! I am not one who leaves my dogs in the car on a hot summer day, but we did leave them in the car after popping bin a store - gone 5 minutes max to grab some water before hitting up the dog park and Gracie chewed the little plastic piece to indicate if the door is locked or not. I no longer had a manual way to unlock my door.... the worst part was we gave her praise for being soo good, only to find it later that she hadn't been!! She LOVES plastic! We don't because she gets soo sick after eating it!
Soooo needless to say I have good reason to be haunted... Or so I think!
It is a good thing they are cute!!
But I am happy to admit they have been doing a great job lately!! No complaints! I better not have just jinxed myself!
