Sweet Pea Fairy Birthday

This sweet image is from Samantha Rawlings Little Sweethearts collection. She is called Little Fairy and you can find her on Plate #58. I just love this sweet girl. This image I colored with different shades of watercolor pencils and then used a blender pen to mix the colors together.

I used a set of Nestabilities to cut out the saying from plate#34. This fairy saying used on this card is on a wonderful sheet of images from Elaine Cox. I love to use the Fairy Happy Birthday saying all the time! I added a cute mix of red/black embellishments to finish the card along with dusting the edges of the card with some Colorbox Chalk ink in black.
Have a Fairy Happy Day!

Give Thanks with these Scarecrows

Here's a pair of scarecrows who tell you to Give Thanks. One of the most important things as we get so close to the holiday is to remember to constantly stop and be thankful for all the wonderful things in our lives. Sometimes even the simplest things we forget to be thankful for.Huge thanks for the wonderful Texas weather lately, all the support from friends at Crestview UMC, my sister who's been calling a lot, my dear husband, my great health, all my friends--both here and all over the internet world! and my niece and nephew--I can't wait until your adoption is final. You are already my family as far as I am concerned. HUGS.

Owl only have eyes for you!

I love owls, no matter what the season. Walking every day now, I hear the owls hoot at night and occassionally get to see one up in a tree. As the leaves fall now I can see them more and more often. Makes me think of this wonderful stamp from artist Elaine Cox.This stamp and saying come on Plate #40 from Sweet Pea Stamps. The owl stamp is called "Little Oak Tree Owl." I added some beautiful glittery fall leaves to the card to show the feeling of the season. I love the eyes of the owl in this image, so I selected the matching saying. What a perfect card to make for that special person in your life.

Thank You Friends

Just a little thanks for my online friends who left wonderful comments the other day for my family over the loss of their mother, my Aunt Terry. I shared your comments with them by reading them to the daughters. They were very touched that people all over the world left notes and kind words for them. Aren't stampers just wonderful people?? Please continue to pray for them as this week will be very hard and the funeral is Friday.

Friends

Hold your friends and family close to you. Never forget what is important. I think this week has been so tough losing a loved one we should stop and think of what is really important. Friends and family are important. If you have friends and especially family that you haven't reached out to recently, reach out to them now! You never know when they will be gone. Tell them what you want to say NOW, don't waste any further moments. Even those close to you, tell them everyday. Think of everything you say to them as it might be your last statement.Never hesitate to tell them that you love them. Big hugs to all of you and most especially to my family, friends and loved ones.

My Scarecrow Friend

Here's a wonderful scarecrow stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie. I have always love scarecrow theme stamps. I have quite a few of them that I will be enjoying now that it is fall time. This sweet one has a little birdie friend. I guess scarecrows are supposed to be scary, but most I see are just too cute to resist!
Something fun happened yesterday, as many of you know I have been getting better and better since surgery and working out more and more everyday. I do about 10-12 miles a day. I bought myself a new skirt, size ZERO!! Who would believe that? This time last year, I was over 65 pounds heavier. A little brain surgery has really changed my life. Hmm, maybe the scarecrow is in a good state of being!!
