Conie Fong Art

Here's a truly darling image from Artist Conie Fong.  She has recently opened a brand new store on Etsy, ConieFongArt.  This gorgeous little girl is called Bow Tie in my Hair.  Isn't she just precious?  I have to say that I was with Sweet Pea stamps for probably about 8 years and I would often ask people which artist was their favorite and more often than not, Conie Fong was the lead vote getter!  Her images are just precious!

I am using some lovely lace and a gorgeous die cut bow from Tattered Lace to highlight this cute girl. The card is a 5" square card.  I am so happy to say that Conie Fong will be chosing a prize winner this month.  Please check out her wonderful images at ConieFongArt and tell me which is your favorite?  There's an awesome sale 30% using the code CELEBRATE30, which is good until Feb 13th.

Mine has to be this image or the adorable Feeling Fabulous girl!  How about you?

Feeling Fabulous

Here's one of the cutest images from Sweet Pea stamps artist Conie Fong. She's called Feeling Fabulous.  Well she's also looking fabulous in this color combination of orange, pink and blues.  I am so in love with this gorgeous image.  I added a fun vellum sentiment that also is printed in oranges and pinks and it says "Know that you YOURSELF are a miracle."  How true is that? most esp for me, as now I am five and half year post brain surgery(ies) and still seizure free.

Here's a close up of this adorable stamp that is currently available in digi and rubber stamp format.

Be sure and check out all of Conie's great images.  She has adorable girls like this, cute animals like penguins and teddy bears and the prettiest ladies.  Drop by our group on Facebook- Sweet pea stamps friends and fans and share your creations with us.  We have a constant contest going on and would love to see your creations!

Happy Birthday Lynette!

Hi everyone, today we are having a blog hop for Lynette of Sweet Pea stamps!  She's the Store owner and our fearless leader. I also need to say that she's just the nicest person ever. I have known her for well over 5 years. I was on her design team before I was even eligible to have brain surgery and she and all the other members of the DT team at Sweet Pea stamps went through the whole process with me step by step as I got tested, prodded and poked to qualify for surgery and then every step of the way post brain surgery!  Not only that,  but she celebrates with me every year since.  A true friend.

I am using this wonderful Sweet Pea image from Conie Fong called Bella with Rose.  I hope you  have the best Birthday Lynette!

In celebration of Lynette's Birthday, please leave a comment here today wishing her a happy birthday!  In case you didn't know, I am having a HUGE blog candy celebration next month with Candy everyday including both rubber and digi Sweet Pea stamps, so I will pick a winner amongst those of you who leave Lynette a wonderful Birthday wish today (winner to be announced in early Feb!!).

Here's the Hop for the Bday Girl:

Joy To the World

Here's an adorable penguin stamp from Sweet Pea artist Conie Fong.  Isn't he the cutest? I am using some gorgeous glazed paper from Bazzill as my background and die cut some fun glitter paper from DCWV to layer the image on. Then I added lots of dimensional buttons to the card to give it a 3-D effect.  All that being said, I think the star of this card is that adorable stamp from Conie.

This stamp is called Joy to the World and he is available in digi as well as rubber stamp format.

Drop by the Sweet Pea store and check out Conie Fong's other fun stamps, she makes the most adorable animals as well as lovely ladies and cute kids!  Then go over to our Facebook Page and share your creations with us.

Butterfly Princess

 Here's a wonderful image from Sweet Pea artist Conie Fong.  This beautiful stamp is called Butterfly Princess.  I colored up this wonderful image like she was a sunflower today. Yellow petals for her dress with a brown center as her top.  I gave her matching wings and an adorable banner on the card that says "You are so Loved."  Totally makes me think of a ballet costume as I have been seeing all my friends little girls being dressed up in the most adorable costumes for their recitals lately.

Here's a close up of the image itself.  This stamp is also available in Digi Format.

Be sure and check out all of Conie's wonderful images at the Sweet Pea store and join us in our contest and weekly prize at our Facebook page Sweet Pea Friends and Fans.

Meet Priscilla

Here's my take on the Sweet Pea variation this month using an adorable image from artist Conie Fong.  This cutie is called Priscilla.  Isn't she the cutest?  What an adorable little witch.  I colored her up in copic blues B91-B94 with a tiny bit of purples V12-16 and orange YR04.  That big skull there was actually something I found in my grocery store of all places, I suppose it's just for use as a decoration, but it was too cute not to go on some cards!
Here's a close up of this fun image, which is also available as a digitial-stamp (click here).

When I look at the close up of this image, don't you love that little 'ol spider on top of the broom?  that's too cute!  Hope you get some fun images for Halloween.  Sweet Pea stamps has a bunch of gorgeous Halloween theme images, which is so my favorite holiday to make cards for.

Cheers, Holley

Angel

 Here's a stunning image from Sweet Pea stamps artist Conie Fong called Angel of Christmas Stars, but as you can see, I have colored her up in a totally non-Christmas way.  This stamp can be used in many color combinations and is perfect for all sorts of beautiful cards year round.  Instead of coloring her flowers red like poinsettias, I simply made them pink to match the beautiful dress that I colored her in.  Isn't she perfect?

Here's a close up of this gorgeous image
Conie Fong's images are available in rubber stamps or as digital stamps at the Sweet Pea store.  Be sure to check out all of her amazing designs.  Hope this beautiful angel has inspired you today.

Project materials:  Cardstock:  (DCWV, Neenah, Bazzill);  Stamp (Sweet Pea Stamps); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Die Cut (Marianne Design; Spellbinders Nestabilities); Adhesives (Glue All, Glue Dots, Pop dots);  Bling (Glitter); Buttons (Imaginations);  Color (Copic markers);

Baby Girl

Here's my version of this beautiful stamp that we are using for this month's Sweet Pea variation week.  This stamp is Conie Fong's Mother and Baby Girl.  It is available in both rubber stamp and digi-stamp format.  I chose to use yellows and greens for this card.  I know lots of mom's get beautiful items in these colors, esp. when they don't know the sex of their baby before it is born. Often the baby showers are filled with more neutral colored gifts.  I think these colors would go well for either, but this cute image, you can so tell she's a sweet baby girl!
I used some gorgeous embossed paper from Heidi Grace with a  sweet "Look at you Grow" sentiment from Basic Grey.  I added a few random sentiments on the card that go perfectly with little children.
Be sure and check out all of Conie's  wonderful stamps at the Sweet Pea store.

Project Materials: Cardstock (Heidi Grace, DCWV Metallic, Neenah); Image (Sweet Pea Stamps); Flowers (Prima); Buttons (American Traditionals); Stickers (Basic Grey, JoAnns); DieCuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue Dots); Color (Copic Markers);

Mermaid Cutie

Don't we all love mermaids?  How about baby mermaids?  Here's a stunning Sweet Pea image from artist Conie Fong called Flowers on the Beach.  Isn't she just adorable?  I added a wonderful sentiment from and older set of Sweet Pea stamps "Flowers are the sweetest things God ever made and forgot to put a soul into. "

On this card I am using 2 shades of cardstock and some major punches!  When I look at it now, it's almost hard to tell, which cardstock is the base color and which is the secondary.  The orange color is the card, it was punch via a large border punch and then a green background color was put behind it, to add the green.  Then on top of the card, I used the same green to layer my colored image.  The card shows three layers of depth that way.  It's a nice way to show some depth with out adding too much bulk (for example if you know you want to mail a card internationally and you know anything sticking out in the envy will get damaged).  This type of card allows you to make wonderful layers and give height and make the item perfectly mailable without having to include it in a package.  Just an idea!!

First Kiss

Here's a great Sweet Pea image from artist Conie Fong called First Kiss. I just love the look on the kids faces because they both look a little surprised. They sure are cute though. I love this artist's newest images. Be sure to check out her work at the store (click here). Does this make you think back to your first kiss? can you recall it happening at such a young age? How about your first kiss with your partner now?

Thinking of you

Here's a stunning image from artist Conie Fong of Sweet Pea stamps. I just love her work. This image is beautiful and I was feeling very RED when I colored it. She has several brand new stamps coming out at the Sweet Pea store and all week her images will be featured on the Sweet Pea blog by all the different artists.

This image is called "The Arrival of Spring" and it is sold individually or on Plate #185. I used several stunning shades of red copic markers to color her. I also used some beautiful lace that I got in Istanbul, Turkey. The richness of the red so matches the card.

Project Materials: Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah); Image (Sweet Pea Stamps); Lace (Istanbul, Turkiye); Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Sewing (Linda W); Ink (Memento); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue dots, Ribbon Glue); Color Copic Markers);

All Conie's stamps are on sale at the Sweet Pea stamp store this week. Go check them out!

Perfect Layers

Here's a stunning image using a stamp from Conie Fong of Sweet Pea stamps and some amazing papers of Paper Temptress. This stamp is called Daisy. I did some wonderful die cutting and layering of beautiful papers to make this card have a great look. I used a border punch and two different types of spellbinder die cuts.

This project uses wonderful papers from Paper Temptress including Sunshine Yellow Columns, Neenah Classic Crest (Solar White), Sparkle Vermilion, and Heavenly White. I think all the different shapes and colors in this project all come together very nicely. The brightness makes me smile at a time of year when the outside is looking more and more dreary.

There's a great texture to this card because the columns on the yellow topped by the die cuts and the punched border add layers of depth. The red cardstock also has the most beautiful shimmery accents to it. It's a perfect little touch that makes the recipient go "ooo" and "aaah."

There's wonderful blog candy you can sign up on Friday's posting (11/11/11). If you haven't signed up yet, scroll down a couple of entries and check it out!

Cheers, Holley
