Here's some cute calendars....

So earlier in the year I was showing you some of the adorable calendars that I had made and handed out at Christmas time (or I guess New Year's Time).  I have had several people, esp those at my church who tell me all the time that they think of me all the time now because they see that calendar everyday on their fridge!  Glad they are getting some use!

Here's some more of them, just to give you some ideas of a cute and easy gift to hand out....

Must confess, that one on the bottom, I kept him, stamped all around him it says "Bad Hair Day"  ha ha!!

Thinking of You

Here's a cute image from Hanglar & Stanglar. Just a note to let people know I am Thinking of them! I know I have been so quiet this year. I guess I used to call and write people a lot more than I have this year. I know I will eventually get back into that mode but after the surgery this year I have spent more time just being quiet and enjoying the little things in life.

Hanglar & Kitty

Here's a cute card of Hanglar from Hanglar&Stanglar and her kitty. The saying comes from Cat's Pajamas rubber stamps. As I am sure you can tell by now I am gently resisting winter here. We did have a cold spell last week and even a few snowflakes (emphasis on the word FEW); But we seldom get much winter here. I don't usually buy a lot of stamps that are "winter" theme for just that reason.

I have posted the card of the week vote in the right hand column. Be sure to vote for your favorite card from last week!

Be the Change

Here's an adorable image of Hanglar from Hanglar&Stanglar sitting up on the branch of a tree. She's so cute. I love how the shading turned out on her outfit. I paired her with a saying from Ghandi "Be the CHANGE you want to see in the WORLD."

What a different place the world would be if we all took that advice. Can you imagine a world without war? without hate? without poverty? I guess with Thanksgiving around the corner, now is a good time to think about a world like that.

Falling Leaves

Happy Thursday everyone! Here's a cute little girl from Hanglar & Stanglar who's looking at the changing colors of the leaves falling down.
Ahh, so nice to see the beautiful temperatures of Fall finally arriving. For us here in South TX, that means mid to high 50s at night and low to mid 70s during the day. Not much of the falling leaves though.

Project Materials: Cardstock (Bazzill); Stamp (Hanglar&Stanglar); Ink (Memento); Color (Copic Markers); Brads (unknown); Leaves (Jesse James Button Co.); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue dots);

Be Yourself

This adorable little girl from Hanglar&Stanglar rubber stamps says "Be Yourself". That's hard to be at times. I catch myself struggling to be different all the time. What if I dressed fancier? what if I was more outgoing? what if....what if...what if

So to everyone else out there (including myself), BE YOURSELF. Let the world see who you really are.

Hanglar's Butterfly Costume

Happy Saturday all, welcome to the weekend. Even though the colors of this card aren't very fall-ish, I thought this cute girl dressed up in a costume qualified as Halloween themed.Had a great day yesterday, first lunch with John, then a couple hours at the bead show, then home to some beading. I actually got my first christmas gift made. It turned out gorgeous, it's a two strand necklace of beautiful red crystals with a matching set of earrings. Someday I will post a jewelry project.

Today's the last day to vote for this week's card of the week contest. If you haven't voted, please cast your vote in the right hand column (at the top). Thanks!

Happy Life

"Very little is needed to make a happy life." How true is that? I often find myself amused and thanking God for the smallest of things. Getting on the bus just before the big rain, the cloud that moves over to block the hot sun, the beautiful flock of parrots that run wild here in Austin.

This cute little girl comes from Hanglar&Stanglar. She's so adorable. I love that flower and her cute hat. I hope you are having a happy life. Can you think of five things that made you happy today?

Project Materials: Printed Paper (DCWV); Stamp (Hanglar & Stanglar Rubber Stamps); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Color( Derwent Inktense); Brads; Vellum Quote; Butterfly accent (unknown);

Little Love Bug

"Kiss me and you will see the Stars; Love me and I will give them to you" That's a great sentiment stamp from Unity Stamp's Kit of the month and it goes so well with this adorable stamp from Hanglar&Stanglar.
Not sure how I would give my love bird the stars, but I guess if he really wanted them then I would strive to do that. The rain has returned and with it slightly cooler weather. I am still fighting a severe sinus infection. I hope all of you are fairing better than I!

Project Materials: Corrugated Card (Westrim); Paper (Bazzill); Stamps (Girl-Hanglar&Stanglar; Saying-Unity Stamps); Ink (Mememto; Colorbox Chalk Red); Paper Cutter(Fiskars); Stars (Queen&Co); Colors (Derwent Inktense);

Rain Rain

Rain, Rain, thank God for the wonderful Rain!! After a very dry year we are getting some much needed and appreciated rain here in south Texas. In honor of the Rain, I made this cute card using a stamp from Hanglar&Stanglar.

I am expecting to receive some of these wonderful stamps this month. They do not sell them outside of Sweden or Norway so you must have a contact in one of those countries to get them. I am so exited to get my first batch of them via Katarina from Sweden! Her work is simply beautiful, see it here: http://kamadesign.blogspot.com/

Just a note--today is the last day to vote for the "Card of the week" for last week. The poll is on the TOP of the column to the right. We have a three way tie right now between the Get Well Owl, Love is Gorjuss and the Tilda and the Cat cards so be sure to vote!

Project Materials: Cardstock (card-unknown; accent papers-Bazzil, DCWV), Flowers (Petaloo); Brads (Basic Grey, Doodlebug); Stamp (Hanglar&Stanglar rubber stamps); Color (Derwent Inktense); Ink (Versafine).
