Tied with a bow

Here's an awesome image from Lizzy Love, Oddball Art Design Co.  I hope you just love her.  I adore her wonderful girl stamps. They are all super cute. She is having a wonderful contest over on her blog, it's called Razzle my Dazzle. I thought the bling of sequins would fit the bill of that.

She's a bird, she's a plane....

Here's a cute image of a girl dressed in a super hero costume by artist Christie Croll (Tiddly Inks).  I know it's hard to tell from this photo, but the card is actually made on a CLEAR Transparency.  It's super cool in person as it looks like she is flying.  I added some wonderful shiny silver die cuts that you could see on the inside of it from the front of the card.

I am using Neenah Solar White Classic Crest Paper for the image that I printed on my computer and colored with copic markers.  I layered the image on some beautiful column paper in Red Pepper.  Then I used glue dot to add that to a clear transparency which I folded into an A2 card size. Then I used a sheet of silver pearl linen to die cut some detailed ornate Tattered Lace dies attach to the inside of the transparency.  It looks like she is just floating now.

Summer Flowers

Here's a lovely image from Sherri Baldy that I used to create this card for the newest contest over at the SSS Challenge blog. Bo-Legged ol' Lady

This is the cutest new image, well, that's hard to say, because there is SO many adorable new images in the Babycakes DND store this week.  This cutie was my favorite (of the ones that the DT got a sneak peak at), she's called Bow Legged Ol' Lady 1672.  TOO cute.  Check her out at the store and then drop by the Sandra Caldwell stamp fans page on Facebook to see all the new cards created by the design team this week.

The orange lace is some that I got in Istanbul last summer.  I so wish I had an opportunity to visit this past summer as well, but perhaps next year.  I think the orange and blue color combo is good with this cute image.

Made this cute card using an image from Lili of the Valley to celebrate my Mother's Birthday today!  I hope she has a wonderful Birthday full of surprises and blessings

Celebrate

Here's a wonderful stamp from Heather Ellis, I am sure many of you recognize this cute stamp!  She is now sold as digi stamp from DigiStampCharacters.  How cute is she?  So adorable. I have always loved this stamp line!  I am so excited to say that Heather has very graciously offered prizes this month for my celebration.  The winners will get a set of three stamps, here's stamp number 1, you will get to see stamps 2 and 3 when I reveal my cards!!  Please go to her Etsy store and check out all her darling girls.  I just love her stamps! 

So TODAY is a big day, this is the day that I had my 2nd surgery and after that, I never had another seizure again!  WOW.  Of course it don't always matter if you have a seizure immediately following surgery as the amount of trauma your brain has undergone may cause a seizure but upon healing they could have removed the area that would typically cause seizures.  For me, I never had another seizure again!  Right now I am on 7 years.  The actual (and often TERRIFYING) statistics is that about half the people who have surgery will have seizures again.  This is why I celebrate EVERY year I get.  The further I get away the better off I am.  I have a very dear friend whose son had the same type of procedure I did.  Several years after his surgery he suddenly had a seizure and died!  NEVER take for granted what you have been given.  ALWAYS be thankful.  This is why I always celebrate.

Happy Fall

Here's a Tiddly Ink's image that I did for an autumn theme card today.  I got these fun die cuts that I used on the corners from Create and Craft TV.  I have been busy doing much work for the church bazaar followed by two classes that I had last week.  Now I have a short breather before the next class which is set up for Dec 7th.

Happy Fall everyone. It has finally started to feel  a little like it here in south TX.  I mean, it was not even in the 80s yesterday.

Father's day card class

Condolences

I just had a friend from my church pass away suddenly.  He was quite a leader in our congregation.  I would say he is about the age of my father. His wife attended my card making class just last week. Sunday he was the man who cooked lunch for the entire congregation.

He will be dearly missed. I never realized how much of an impact he had until he was gone. He works in every aspect of our church on every committee in every group and for everyone.  I wish all of his family and especially his wife my deepest condolences.  May he be an angel watching over us  now.

Whimsical Flowers part 2

Here's a gorgeous image from the Whimsical Flowers Clip Art collection.  This wonderful collection has 6 images for only $6.  I just love this image and decided to create a card using a reddish brown and yellow combination.

Check out all the other beautiful flowers included in this wonderful clip art set.  They would be awesome for the current challenge!  I hope everyone is enjoying spring time now.  When spring started for most of the USA, it started with a really strange cold spell.  Winter had been going with a really unusual warm spell then all of sudden here's spring with cold weather!

Looks like now we are getting back to normal.  Whew!  you know 85 degree spring.

Conie Fong Art

Here's a truly darling image from Artist Conie Fong.  She has recently opened a brand new store on Etsy, ConieFongArt.  This gorgeous little girl is called Bow Tie in my Hair.  Isn't she just precious?  I have to say that I was with Sweet Pea stamps for probably about 8 years and I would often ask people which artist was their favorite and more often than not, Conie Fong was the lead vote getter!  Her images are just precious!

I am using some lovely lace and a gorgeous die cut bow from Tattered Lace to highlight this cute girl. Card Making Class in Austin, TX

I am having a card making class if you are in the Austin TX area!  Here's the three cards we will put together.  It will be held at Crestview United Methodist Church on Feb 9th. Class times are 10am or 7pm.  There is child care option for the 7pm class. Cost is $5 to cover materials.

Little Gnome

Here's the cutest little gnome stamp, she comes from artist Julia Spiri.  Currently they are having a contest over on their Challenge Blog to Add a sentiment to your card.  I made this fun fall card and included a lovely fall theme embellishments to go with it.

Today should be our first day back to some sunshine. Will be chilly in the morning but the sun should be back out by midday.  Looking forward to getting out of the house for a while and getting some walking in.
