Hmmm, what will the new year bring?

Well the new school  year is about to get started and still i don't even know if I really have a job.  I guess I will find out soon enough if we have enough kids enrolled in our program to keep me, move me, put with me toddlers (sigh), or what?    I added the perfect sentiment to this card, "Dear Courage, don't leave me now."

I also added some great Turkish lace to this card to go with the beautiful orange paper.

My Best Friend

Here's one of my favorites in the Queen Kat store, it's a Creepie Cutie from artist Kristie Silva.  This image is called Midnight Dreary.  I totally love her whole stamp line.  Those little skull barrettes and skull on her tshirt...perfect with the skull border that I added.

Hope you are having a great time now that Summer is in full swing.  The schools just ended here in TX, as most kids went to school through last week.  I imagine it will be a much different week now that all the kids are off.  Have fun everyone.

Hope

I am sure many of you know that this month has been Cancer Awareness month. I have seen think pink themed things all over the place including even watching NFL players and college football players wearing pink shoes and gloves in support. Here's a wonderful stamp and you can see her pink ribbon in her hair! I also colored her up in pink. She's called HOPE by Queen Kat artist Kristie Silva (Creepie Cuties).
I used some great corner die cuts and a wonderful sentiment on vellum "For I know the plans I have for you declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you a future and a hope. --Jeremiah 29:11" Perfect with the thought behind this card.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, AC Metallic, Neenah);  Stamp (Queen Kat);  Ink (Memento); Vellum (DCWV);  Flowers (Prima, Recollections); Brad (Bazzill); Heart (K& CO);  Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities;  Cheery Lynn);  Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue Dots);  Color (Copic Markers);

Lil Zombie Girl

Here's an awesome image from Queen Kat artist Kristie Silva called Lil' Zombie Girl.  I just love this artist's work.  She has a line of stamps called Creepie Cuties.  I am sure you have seen her goodies on my blog before.  This image I colored in using all warm grey Copic markers, except for the kitty, which I did in color, I think that gave the image just a little bit of life.  She's so adorable.
Be sure to check out all of the Creepie Cuties at the Queen Kat store, as well as keep an eye on my blog, as I just bought many of the recent Cuties and I will be making cards with several of them!

Lil Zombie Girl

Here's a new stamp and she is just TOO cute!  She's called Lil' Zombie Girl from Kristie Silva (Creepie Cuties).  I am such a huge fan of Creepie Cuties.  Kristie's stamp are so great.  I think this stamp is just perfect for Halloween or not.  Personally, I get her stamps year round.  This particular card, I embellished with a little bit of Halloween flair.
Check out all the wonderful stamps she released this month. So many adorable images that I had to order at least half of them.  This card uses a special frame from a limited edition spellbinders set and some tiny bat shaped brads.

I can see clearly now....

So in celebration this week, I made this adorable card using this great image from Queen Kat stamps. This image comes from the Creepie Cuties, which are among my favs. I found this funny saying, which is SO much funnier (and maybe odd) to those of us who have gone through actual brain surgery and had a chunk of our brain removed. "I can see clearly now, the brain is gone..." More than that, but those of us who have gone through that and then had such a huge and dramatic change happen after the surgery. I will say the doctor got a laugh from it, but deep down, I know he knows exactly what I meant.
There's still blog candy winners whom I haven't heard from, if you won, check and let me know!

Project Materials: Cardstock (Neenah); Rubber Stamp (Queen Kat; Saying-unknown); Ink (Memento, Studio G); Bats (Sandy Lion); Ribbon (Target); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue all, Ribbon Glue); Color (Copic Markers);

Creepie Cutie For You

Here's a great stamp from the Creepie Cutie line of Queen Kat stamps. This sweetie is called Stitched Heart. I added a fun saying from another stamp set called Cook Girl. Something this time made me want to use a seemingly odd combo of olive and purple. These are both colors that I am sure have all noticed that I don't often use (and certainly not together). I do like the Creepie Cuties though and I think she looks delightful in this color combo.
