Happy Friday

Happy Friday everyone! It's the weekend before Christmas. I hope you are all snug in your homes and not running around to stores getting prepared for the holiday.  I must confess I bought the majority of my christmas gifts while I was in TURKIYE this summer, so I didn't have much shopping to do this year.  It does make it a lot easier, but also makes luggage a lot tighter.

Penguin Christmas

These little penguins are just TOO cute.  I found a whole pack of them at my local reuse store for 50 cents.  I used them in combination with two card kits that were a dollar each and made a total of the twenty cards you saw.  What a great deal huh?  I do so love Austin Creative Reuse.

Christmas trees

Penguin Love

 Woo Hoo, it's Saturday, the 16th.  No real plans for me, but I am happy about that.  A few little things to get done before the holidays like wrapping up gifts that need to be mailed out of state to family.  I would say they would go out on Monday, but you know, procrastination....

Gorgeous Lace

 Happy Friday everyone!  Can you believe this is the third Friday of December?  I would say I am still recovering from my bday, but at 53, you know that's not true.  A) I'm not much of a party girl anymore (lol a party means going to a late-night scrap-a-thon); B) if I was going to do it, I would wait until the weekend anyways; c) The weekend is here and yeah, I'm not going to, because Imm already tired.  HA!

Tree Trio

 Here's a cute little trio of Christmas trees with some pretty Turkish lace to go with them.  They are on a large mulberry card.  I just love these papers.  Gorgeous and they feel so luxurious.  Wonderful.  I hope you are enjoying all the Christmas cards this month.  Come January we will start showing cards with some wonderful BLOG CANDY reminders for Feb celebration.

 Here's a Christmas tree card with some GORGEOUS Turkish lace in red on it.  You can order this lace from the store (link below) it comes in the 20pack (20 different pieces of red lace, all are different, approx 6" each).  Works great on Christmas cards and Valentines!

Handmade Christmas

Here's another simple handmade Christmas card.  I am looking forward to sending out handmade cards this year. It's been a while since I have done that.  I had calendars made this year (and every year) that show wonderful photos of Turkiye every month. This time they will get a handmade card as well.

Handmade Christmas cards

 Happy HUMP day.  It's the first wed of the month.  I am sharing some simple handmade Christmas cards that I made.  I found two kits at the creative reuse store.  They came with some card made of handmade paper.  I took the two kits and then made about 20 different cards (I think the kits were supposed to make 10 cards).  I had all the embellishments from the kits, some gorgeous Turkish lace, some wonderful little penguins and off I went.  before I knew it, 20 cards were done.  Here's one of them.

Three little trees

 Happy Monday everyone!  It's the first monday of December, just 16 more days to Christmas break lol.  Does it sound bad that I am counting?  lol, those of you who know me, know I love to count the days, esp when it comes to travel to Turkiye.  I haven't counted that up yet. I am afraid to do it.  HA HA.

Christmas card

 

Well, it's the last day of November!  I can't believe that December is upon us.  WOW.  That was fast.  Seems like the first couple of months of school have flown by.  Pretty soon we will be in Spring!  well, that's pretty relative.  I mean, jan-feb can be cold in TX too.
