Happy Birthday Sis!

Just wishing my sister a Happy Birthday today! Here's a delightful Magnolia stamp with the cutest Tilda on there, she has cute curls, which I always remember my sister having curly hair when we were younger.  Somehow I never knew mine was too until I was an adult and a hairdresser told me that my hair was also curly!  I used to curl my hair all the time when I was younger

Hope you have a wonderful birthday Sister.

Cheers, Holley

Also wonderful news that my brother and his wife have welcomed their first child!  Hugs and prayers to them and their new family.

Tilda the Witch

Here's a cute Tilda card, she's on her broom and sending scares across the sky. Well, I don't know about scares, she doesn't look all that scary now, does she?  She looks pretty adorable to me.  I added a cute black cat and a big ol' bat there.  But I think what I have been told recently that scares people is all those spiders in the background.  They don't scare me on paper, but I suppose if I saw them in real life, I would be pretty freaked out.

BOO to you!

Hugs, Holley

Praying Tilda

Here's a wonderful Magnolia stamp of little praying Tilda.  I colored her up using Copic markers and added a sweet sentiment from Whipper Snapper.  "God's Answers are Wiser than our Prayers?"  How true is that?  All the gorgeous papers here are from Paper Temptress.  Don't you love the layers?

The base of this card is gorgeous white cardstock Neenah Solar White, this is also the cardstock that the image was stamped on.  I die cut the image out using Spellbinders Nestabilities.   I mounted the image onto beautiful mica cardstock Punch.  I also used the sliver of punch on the edge of the card.  The lovely lace looking paper is from Hambly Studios.  They have gorgeous papers and overlays.  This paper is a small piece of a Hambly Screen Print called Old Lace.  Isn't it stunning?  Imagine how many cards you could make with this one sheet. Have a great day everyone!!

  Hugs and prayers. Holley

Darkness Falls

Here's an adorable little witch Tilda.  I just love that she's using a modern broom, lol!  She's quite "Spooky" now isn't she?  OK, maybe quite adorable is more accurate.  I had to color her up in Halloween purple and highlight the spider web off the top of her hat.  So cute.

Hope you enjoyed this cute little Magnolia card today, have a great day!

Cheers, Holley

It's Batty Tilda

I'm Batty for You!  That's what Tilda has to day today.  Isn't she adorable?  Here's a fun card using a Magnolia stamp.  Now that I am starting to show some Halloween cards, I had to pull out this fun image of Tilda dressing up like a bat. I am sure as many of you may have heard before, Austin is home to one of the largest bat colonies in the world.  It's truly a site that is unbelievable when you are standing on a bridge and watching a million (yes, million) bats fly out at night.  It almost looks like smoke from a distance but when close enough you realize what those tiny creatures are.

If interested, look up Mexican Freetail bats in Austin TX and I am sure there will be a ton of on line photos and videos posted.  A really great thing about them is they primarily eat mosquitos...LOTS of them.  Yeah, bats!!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill Swiss, Neenah, AC); Image (Tilda-Magnolia Stamps; Saying-Kraftin Kimmie Stamps); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities, Provo Craft); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All); Color (Copic markers);

Hope this card brings a smile to your face today!

Tilda the Tigeress!

Here's an adorable new stamp from Magnolia. It's Tilda in a sweet Tiger costume. I used this stamp to make a sweet valentine. If I had my own cute tiger costume, I would dress up and tell my DH "UR Cute" and "Be Mine." Sunday Angel

Here's a sweet Angel from Magnolia. This is one of the older designs from this company. I came across a store selling it and just had to get this image. Super sweet. I hope that 2011 has been a great year for all of you. I know despite many things that have happened this year, for me and my DH, 2011 will always be a wonderful year to us. This is the first full year that I have gone with NO seizures, the first year I got to leave the USA on a wonderful trip to Istanbul Turkiye, the first year that my white blood cell count started to return to normal, the first year that my health has amazed all the doctors. I have so much to be Thankful for.

Project Materials: Cardstock (Bazzill Swiss, Neenah, AC); Stamp (Magnolia); Ink (Memento, Colorbox Chalk); Punch (Fiskars); Brads (Bo Bunny); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All); Die Cuts (QuickKutz); Color (Copic markers);

Broom riding Tilda

Here goes Tilda flying through the night. She's got tricks and treats both....I hope she just hands out treats to those around her though. Isn't she adorable? I just love this Magnolia stamp. I have been so into some great lime green addition this Halloween, so I had to add some flair to this card with some wonderful hint of green everywhere. That bat on the huge fabric brad in the center of the flower...oh, so adorable!! Makes me think of Austin which is just a bat friendly city being home to one of the largest urban colonies of Mexican free tail bats in the world.

Project Materials: Cardstock (Bazzill, Bling, Neenah); Rubber Stamp (Tilda-Magnolia); Ink (Memento); Die Cut (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Ribbon (Michaels); Flower (Recollections); Brads (Karen Foster); Twist (Doodlebug); Tab (Around the Block); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue All, Glue Dots, Ribbon Glue, tape); Color (Copic Markers);

Happy Halloween Tilda! It's Blog Candy time!!

Well, here's just the cutest little Tilda witch and she's here to announce that Halloween is just around the corner and it's time for some blog candy!! It's gonna be a short contest with the winner announced next tuesday. There will be a winners on USA side and International Winner. The pics shown yesterday (top) is USA pack, second image is International pack. So just leave a comment and let me know if you are USA or International. So start leaving your comments here now!! I may start to get extra generous and have to pick a couple extra winners, so I included extra photos with just some additional goodies that I need to toss in to the prizes and when I want to send more prizes :) I also got the coolest new halloween trims with hanging bats, pumpkins...oh so dear.

So, why the candy? I am planning on two huge Doctor appointments, which is why I get in the celebration mood. The first one is friday afternoon, when I go to see the Oncologist Dr Donor. He's been pushing to have a bone marrow test, but I have been of course resisting. Due both to the painfulness and seriousness of that test. The last time I visited him my blood count turned out better for the first time in more years that I can recall. A real miracle! I hope for even better testing this time, which may finally put any thoughts of cancer testing to rest.

After that I go see my favorite doctor, the one who fixed my brain just over 1.5 years ago, epileptologist Dr Aboumatar. Hope to only hear good things from this doctor as the time after brain surgery goes on. We will see on next tuesday how much celebration I am feeling!! Truth is, I am feeling so wonderful that I will be celebrating no matter how the doctors appointments go. I know how much of my health I have been given back. I know how horribly sick I really was before the brain surgeries that saved me! Let's celebrate with some Halloween Joy!

Just leave a comment, would be great if there is an email so I can contact the winner(s), let me know if you are in the USA or International as I will pick at least one winner from each, probably more :) Also, I may sneak in some other shorter contests for a little candy during the week, so you wanna keep an eye on the postings each day!!

Cheers, Holley

You are a princess....

Here's Tilda and isn't she a princess? She sure is to me. Isn't every little girl a princess to someone? Probably to a lot of people. I know I look at little kids all the time and see the adults they are surrounded by. I hope those adults treat those kids as though they were a princess. But of course recall, a princess has a lot to learn, a certain way to behave, good manners and doesn't get away with much...hmmm....maybe being a princess doesn't seem that easy after all.

Project Materials: (Paper Temptress-Mica, Neenah Solar White); Rubber Stamp (Magnolia); Ink (memento, Colorbox Chalk); Borderpunch (Martha Stewart); Adhesives (pop dots, Glue all); Die Cut (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Colors (Copic Markers);

Live it up!

Here's a beautiful image of Tilda holding a basket of goodies to hand out. Some pretty flowers and hearts. I added a wonderful sentiment that comes from a vellum sticker made by Heidi Grace that says Live it up. Live it up can be just for you, either if you are handing out the good things you have to others or if you are receiving wonderful things from those around you (or both!). Go out and live it up!
Happy Birthday, Sterling!!
