Dia de los Muertos

Happy Dia De los Muertos!  Hope you are having a wonderful day, it's time to celebrate! Day of the Dead.  Here's an awesome image from Dilly Beans that I used to create this care along with some great lace from Turkiye.  I hope you have a fabulous Day of the Dead this year.

It's a time to celebrate remembrance of your lost loved ones.  Often an alter is set up with photos, and things that the dearly departed loved.  In Christian places the holiday may be celebrated as All Saints day

You make my heart Happy!

Happy Monday everyone!  Today the kids will be back in school and off we go, getting started for the 2nd half of the school year.  WOW.  Here's a fun image from Dilly Beans that I love.  I am starting to get ready for the celebration month, I feel so many things need to be getting done now....better be getting going.....cards to make, photos to take, goodies to get....

So happy that I still have something to be celebrating.  As much as half of the people who have the surgery I do will return to having seizures again in their life :(  I am a very blessed person.  So thankful!!

One must be Brave to Be an artist

Here's a wonderful image from Dilly Beans. I love this artist's images, esp all the skulls she makes.  The sentiment says, "One must be brave to be an artist."  I think that means that you must be brave to share your work with the world and put yourself out there.  It's very must like sharing a private piece of yourself when you share your art.

I hope you are having a fabulous summertime. I can't believe it's more than half over now.  Have a brilliant day everyone!

Dream Big

Here's a great image from Dilly Beans. I love this artists quirky images, beautiful girl images, fun skulls, and silly monsters.  She's awesome.  This image is just TOO cute with that big 'ol heart on his sweater.

I hope you had a great April, I can't believe we are now heading into May, just 2 months to vacation.  It will be here before I know it now.  I feel like I have so much to get done!

I love you more!

Here's a fun stamp from Dilly Beans. As I am sure you would guess, I just love this image.  I added a sweet and simple sentiment, "I love you more" down the side as well as some green embellishment.  Isn't she great?

We're already in a new week, I can't believe there's just 8 more weeks of school this year and summer will be here.  I am sure like the teachers, the kiddos are counting down the days as well.  Hugs all!

Dilly Beans

Here's a fun image from Dilly Beans.  I love her cute skulls on there. I thought she would be a great Halloween theme, though I didn't add a Halloween sentiment on the front.  I did have to add the skull ribbon though.  Isn't that too fun?
Have a great week.  I am hoping that this week will result in a more solid setting of my schedule.  It's been pretty much a constant change everyday so far.

You are my favorite!

Happy Thursday everyone!  Here's an awesome image from Dilly Beans.  I love her skull images (and her girlie images too).  I hope you are having a great week. I am off to some physical therapy for my shoulder.  UGH. But it's good to have it done now while my shoulder is still doing well enough for range of motion.
Hope you have a great week.  Cheers, Holley

Skull time

Well you all know how much I adore skulls.  Recently I picked up a couple of adorable Dia de los muertos items (not stamps) but items from local stores, the cutest socks, a fun handbag, and a blank journal that I can take on my trip.  Here's a great image from Dilly Beans.  She has a bunch of adorable skull images.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.  Cheers, Holley

Skulls!

Here's one of my favorites, yep, skulls! Aren't they just too cute? this image comes from Dilly Beans. I just adore this artist's great images, not just her skulls, but also her darling girl images. TOO fun.  I can't believe we are almost at the end of the first week of May!
Where has the time gone?  I am already approaching two classes I am teaching as well as the upcoming VBS and then a father's day card making class at a local Toy library.  What's a toy library you ask? it's a place where kids and their parents can go play for $5 or go and check out toys and take them home!

Have a great day!

Cheers, Holley

Captivate

Sharing this awesome image from Dilly Beans today.  I am sure you can tell what I just love about this image, her hair clip of course!  I do have a clip or two with a skull, but would love to find one like this.  How cool would that be?
Hope this card has captivated you!  Have a great day.

Simply Sweet

Here's an adorable image from Dilly Beans and she's simply sweet. I totally love rag dolls with button eyes. I guess to some they seem a little creepy but I love this little girl. She's just too cute.

I have just about everything laid out now, there's stuff everywhere.  The things I haven't shared with you yet are all the embossing folders, the final pictures of all the embellishments after I finished loading them and a few more goodies that will remain a surprise!!

Hopefully tomorrow I will get in one more posting of prizes before the contest starts.

Cheers, Holley

Gorgeous

Here's an awesome image from Dilly Beans.  I love this artist's work. She has both big eye women as well as some great skull/quirky type images.  Very much the type I enjoy. this image is called Daisy Girl Framed
They are having a March challenge over on their site, it's for adding green to your card. I guess I only have a touch of green, but this is a very spring filled card covered in flowers, so I hope that itself makes it qualify as I did use green as well.

Project materials:  Cardstock (Paper Temptress, Neenah, Bazzill, Metallic); Image (Dilly Beans); Color (Copic markers); Buttons (Queen & Co); Sentiment ();

Dilly Beans

Here's a fun image from Dilly Beans using gorgeous papers from Paper Temptress. I love this fun image and colored her up to match the papers that I chose.  I think she would be fun image to use both around Halloween time and well if you are me, other times as well!!
The fun papers I am using here for this card is a background in Basis Black which has been embossed and then lightly inked with white ink.  The beautiful textured grey is ruche called Grey Crepe. The strip on the left I embossed, don't you love how well this paper embosses and yet you can still see the crepe qualities of the paper?  The image was printed out on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White.  This paper runs through my printer so easily and can then be colored with copic markers.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Paper Temptress); Image (Dilly Beans); Embossing (Crafter's Companion); Buttons (); Ink (Colorbox Chalk); Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Adhesives (pop dots, glue all, glue dots); Color (Copic markers);
