Love

Love this stunning image from Slinky Tarts.  Had to make my hubby a little sexy or as Slinky Tarts calls it, Smexy card. Hope he will be checking out my blog later and seeing it.  Love you dear!
He even likes the purple, so that will definitely be a hit with him.

How's everyone doing?  I would hope that if you are inside the USA, that your packages have reached you by now. I have been hearing from people regularly now that their goodies have arrived.  I'd love to see anything fun that you create with them. For the Post Blog Candy redraw winners, I mailed out the package to Kathy and sent the digi prize out to Annette. Enjoy.  This Saturday I will be sharing a handful of cards that I have received.

Cheers, Holley

Naughty or Nice?

So, Naughty or Nice?  Well, I suppose that depends upon who you ask....if you ask my hubby I think he might say Naughty is nice!  Since I know who santa is, I guess that is the way to go!  Maybe I need to find a big candy cane, or just forget the candy cane and find an outfit like this girl has on.  What do you think?

This great image comes from The Stamping Chef.  Do you love her? I do.  Check out this artist's great images. It's best to buy from these artist's now as the changes in the taxes are going to seriously affect the business for digital stamp companies outside the USA. It's a big mess, so go to the stores that you love now, and get the stamps you want before 2015.  This card is for the Stamping Chef Challenge (TSC Challenge Blog).

I am using some gorgeous papers from Paper Temptress on the card here.  The image was printed out on Neenah Solar White Classic Crest.  The base of the card is Thick Red Pepper Columns. You can see on the base and the sides where I swiped the card with ink the lovely texture it has. The paper behind the image is a Hambly Studio Screenprint. It is a part of a sheet called Out on a Limb.  This is a 12x12" sheet and I used the adorable Owl on a project and the Birds on another project and now I have this shimmery black paper with silver specs to use here.  Wonderful projects from the same paper!

At the Carwash...

Here's an awesome image from the Stamping Chef.  Now isn't this the woman lots of people would love to see at the carwash?  I guess here in Texas we have been in a drought situation so long, carwashes don't happen, not even in your own yard.  I guess we will just have to settle for a card with a lady washing the car. That's about as close as you are going to get.

Hope all is well this week. Are you ready for Christmas? I can't believe it is so close now.  Just one more weekend before the holiday. I suppose I should be making my list and checking it twice.  Though if I crossed off all the naughty people,....that list would get awful short.  Better stick to getting sweet gifts for all the kids.

The Stamping Chef is having an Anything Goes challenge over on their blog this week, so I am going to share this card with them.

Cowgirl Up

Here's a great image from Stamping Chef. I totally love this artist's wonderful images!  I also added a fun sentiment from Cosmo Cricket, "Dear Adventure, I've been looking for you"  Doesn't this girl look like that!?!  I recently got a bunch of new images from Stamping Chef, so keep your eyes out for a bunch of fun cards using new images from this artist.

I am entering this card in the Stamping Chef challenge this week. I hope you all have a stamping great day!

Nov is Epilepsy Awareness Month

November is Epilepsy Awareness Month.  The ribbon color for epilepsy is purple.  Epilepsy affects 3 million Americans and 65 million people worldwide. One third of people diagnosed with Epilepsy will be deemed intractable, meaning that they take multiple medications without success and there is no way for their seizures to be helped with medication.  It often forces a patient to take more and more medications for only a fraction of control. (At my worst time, I was on a maximum dosage of 5 medications.) Only a small margin of intractable epileptics will qualify for the current surgeries available, about 30%. I was one of the lucky ones.   Though epilepsy affects more people than  multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and Parkinson's combined it has least amount of funding for studies in the advancement of finding treatments and a cure.

Should you see someone around you have a seizure: Do not ever put anything in their mouth. Remove anything dangerous from their hand (like a fork or knife). Move tables or chairs to prevent them from hitting their head, if possible place something soft under their head.  Do not be alarmed if they are not responding to you immediately, during a seizure most will not.  Rarely is an ambulance needed, however if the seizure goes beyond 5 minutes; if the person has continual short seizures without coming conscious in between, or if the person bangs their head or physically injures their body.  It may take several minutes after a seizure for the person to become truly aware.  Staying nearby and talking to them to ensure they are conscious is good.

For all those of you who have epilepsy or know someone with epilepsy, never give up!  I had intractable seizures for the first 39 years of my life. I met the right doctor and less than 5 months later I had my last seizure.  I have currently been seizure free for 4 and a half years.  I am down to low medication levels.  There's always hope!  I am seeing new technology, new treatments and surgeries come.  Don't be afraid.  Drop me a message if you need to talk. htondre@aol.com

This card is using an awesome stamp from the Stamping Chef. This woman is the fighter I want to be! I colored her up in purple for Epilepsy Awareness this month using gorgeous papers from Paper Temptress.

Live Laugh Love

Here's a great image from the Stamping Chef. I love this artist's work.  I wish I had a costume like this one for wearing at Halloween, esp those cute hose she has.  I had to add a tiny piece of bling to her wand.  I am using some beautiful lace that I got from Turkiye and some ric rac that matches the color of the card.

I am sharing this card over at the TSC Challenge this week.  Check out their fun site and this artist's smexy images.  Cheers, Holley

Witchy Woman

Here's a gorgeous image from Stamping Chef, I just love her images and chose this one to be Halloween theme, though, you know me, I would use it any time of year!  Those cute little buttons are some that I got at the most recent scrapbook convent from Queen & Co.

Going to post this card in this week's TSC Challenge.  Hope you are all having a great day, I am off to the dentist (OUCH!) just a cleaning though.

Cheers, Holley

Also Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge is having one using Spots or Dots this week

Here's an awesome image from The Stamping Chef.  I am sure you all know that I just love this artist's stamps. I have so many of her beautiful images. Here's another fun one, I probably have been a hot mess, esp given the Texas weather.  Even starting my daily walk at 8:30 am, by 1pm, it's so very hot outside!

A little Voodoo

Here's a simple and sweet Stamping Chef card today, she's sitting with her voodoo doll and I added a Kraftin' Kimmie sentiment "I'll put a spell on you!"  As you can see with all the hearts on the card, I am putting out a love spell....

Though perhaps with that spike in the head, hmmmm....well as the person who had brain surgery, perhaps I am putting out a spell to get rid of all those horrible headaches.  Though I must say, since surgery almost all of my headaches went away.  Amazing!!  I am going to put this card in the TSC Challenge this week.

Is it too early for Halloween?

Is it too early for Halloween cards?  You know I love the Halloween themed images.  Here's a great one from The Stamping Chef.  I am now seeing the Halloween goodies everywhere, all the crafting stores and even the markets (now, mind you, I have been seeing CHRISTMAS stuff in many of these stores since at least june, ugh!)

I hope you will join in with me in checking out the awesome images at the Stamping Chef (ooo and their Challenge Blog where I will enter this card this week). She has some brand new stamps that I have been loving...I am totally itching to get some of them.  I can feel new digis in my future.

I've got the cure!

Sharing this hot as ever Stamping Chef image!  Don't you love her.  Must say when I was in the hospital getting my brain done, I don't recall any of the nurses being quite this sexy.  I think the prettiest nurse that I recall actually dropped a very heavy bag full of wiring that was attached to plates on my head on me (my head!!!)  OH, if I could have punched her...seriously.   I know my husband was giving me that deer in the headlights look when it happened.  Eeek!

I am so loving these stamps, I am entering this in to their weekly challenge at TSC Challenge Blog. WOW, I just found out I was last week's Pick of the week!!  Awesome!!  Drop by their challenge, you can play with anyimage, but why wouldn't you pick their images?

Cheers, Holley

Rocket Girl

Rocket Girl, isn't she hot?  I added a fun saying from Unity Stamps, "Love you to the Moon & back"
This stamp comes from The Stamping Chef, she's called Rockabilly Boom.  I added a sparkly moon in the center of the pink flower  I suppose I should have pointed her flying upwards towards the moon, huh?  Well, perhaps she is on her trip back.

I am going to enter this fun card in this week's Stamping Chef Challenge. It's one of the only Challenges that I do every week (aside from any companies that I work for).  I just love their stamps, so I really enjoy using their images.  Have a great day!

Aweswome--this card won Pick of the Week at the TSC Blog!!

Love of my life

Made this sweet card for the love of my life.  He knows who he is.  After 17 years, he ought to.  I still get excited everyday when he gets home from work and I still need him to come and lay down next to me for a couple minutes so I can fall asleep at night.  This sexy (or as the artist says smexy) image is from Stamping Chef.  Love her beautiful images.

Going to enter this card in the Stampin Chef challenge this week.  Hope they like my card because I love their images!  Hope everyone is having a wonderful end to their summer.  I am already seeing the back to school clothes and supplies in all the local stores.

i love you

Here's an awesome image from Stamping Chef. They are having a challenge this week over on their blog, I had to join in! I love this girl and as you can see had to deck her out in white and pink, hair included. I like her hand signal, very similar to the I love you in sign language.  Here in Austin, we have a place called Donut Taco Palace, they actually make donuts in the shape of a hand "I love you" as well as the hand sign for UT.

Drop by the TSC Challenge Blog and check out all the fun.  Hmmmm, feeling hungry all the sudden...how about a taco that is actually made from a donut (instead of a tortilla)?  You know you want one!

Project Materials:  Cardstocl (Bazzill, Neenah, Glitter, DCWV); Image (Stamping Chef); Embellishments (Sandy Lion, Pebbles, Adorn It); Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Ink (Colorbox Chalk); Buttons (Grandma's Button Bag); Adhesives (pop dots, Glue all, Glue dots); Color (Copic Markers)

Be the Heroine

Here's a great image from The Stamping Chef.  Had to laugh when I saw her shirt "Stop looking at my shirt!"  Isn't weird when you are chatting with someone and they aren't looking at you face to face?  I guess there has been a time when I may have been able to wear such a tiny shirt.  Yeah, those times are long gone, lol!

I made this card for this week's Stamping Chef challenge. Love seeing all the different Stamping Chef cards that get made every week. Drop by their Challenge Blog and check them out.

Project materials:  Cardstock (MAMBI, Neenah, AC Metallic); Image (Stamping Chef); Ink (Colorbox Chalk); Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities; Memory Box); Brads (My Minds Eye); Bling (Queen & Co); Die Cuts (K&Co); Sentimens (Cosmo Crickett); Color (Copic markers); Adhesives (pop dots, Glue all, glue dots);

Here's an awesome image from The Stamping Chef.  Isn't she great?  Totally love this artist's work.  I added some fun sentiments from Unity Stamps as well as a great embossing sentiment.  Did you notice the brads on my flowers are cupcakes?  Could that be what she is making?

Going to enter this card into the Stamping Chef challenge this week.  Check out their amazing stamps. Totally love their images. Also A Song in Your He(Art) is having a contest this week that is sponsored by Stamping Chef.

Find your courage!

Here's a stunning image from Stamping Chef. I am sure all of us know someone in our lives who has gone through Breast cancer or a scare with Breast Cancer.  I myself lost my grandmother to this. I also had a very horrible scare at only 28 leading to them removing tissue for a biopsy.  It will strike over 1 in 8 women now in the USA.  Protect your self and be tested regularly, esp if you have a family who has had breast cancer.

I am entering this card for the Stamping Chef (TSC) Challenge this week. I just LOVE her beautiful images, so it's one contest that I always seem to be doing.  I hope everyone will Find Their Courage this week.  HUGS!

Holley

DIY

Love this fun image from Stamping Chef, isn't she a bit Cheeky? ha!  She's got a clipboard that says Keep Calm & DIY.  I guess I am only a Do It Yourselfer when it comes to crafting. Just about everything else I leave up to the hubby to take care of.  I had to laugh at this adorable image though and it made me think of this hilarious saying that I have from Squigglefly.  HA!!

Hope you are all having a great week.  I am going to drop this card off for the Stamping Chef Challenge this week.  Drop over there and check it out!

Hey

Sharing this Clean And Simple card today using a hot mama from Stamping Chef. Don't you love her?  If only I had legs that long! If so I would wear a dress that short...well, maybe not, but I guess if my legs were really that long then all dresses might look that short on me.

Unfortunately at 5'4" my dress comes a lot further down.  I suppose that's a good thing, of course my husband would say that as he would not like all those men checking out my legs.  At 10+ miles a day, they may be short, but they sure are built, lol!!

Have a great weekend everyone.  Check out The Stamping Chef blog, I am entering this simple card for their Anything Goes challenge.

Simple Pleasures

Here's an awesome image from Stamping Chef! I just love this girl.  I dressed her up with a hot red shirt and matching red sunglassed.  I finished off the card with matching red flowers and red/black striped buttons.  I wonder what simple pleasures she is seeking today...

For me it's often that shift in the sky, when the clouds move to cover the heat of the sun for just a moment.  Ahhh, that's a wonderful thing. That's when I am thinking, "Thank You" and looking up in the sky.  Do you think God hears me?

Project materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill, Neenah, AC); Image (Stamping Chef); Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities, Memory Box); Sentiment (Cosmo Crickett); Flowers (Prima); Brads (Making Memories); Buttons (Grandma's Button Bag); Twine (Target); Ink (Colorbox Chalk); Color (Copic markers); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue all, Glue dots);
