It's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's super bear!

 Meet Super Bear!  This stamp is a brand new image from Sandra Caldwell today.  It will come out in the Babycakes DND Store on Etsy this morning.  Isn't he SUPER cute? or, as my card says, Super-Huggable?  I am using a cityscape ribbon of Istanbul that I got while in Turkiye as well as some bling that I got in Turkiye.
Here's a wonderful close up of this adorable stamp.
Be sure and check out this plus all the other brand new stamps at Sandra's store in Etsy later today and check out our fun group on Facebook, it's called Sandra Caldwell Stamp Fans!

Pumpkin Bear

Here's the cutest image from Dustin Pike.  This pumpkin bear is just adorable. I used some fun paper from Heidi Grace and funny bats from Soft Spoken. All I can say is Trick or Treat everyone!

Just two more weeks until Halloween!  I am in full jewelry creation mode right now as the church's bazaar is just a couple weeks away. Of course I pulled out 100+ cards to sell, but I am also making a bunch of jewelry as it also seems to sell very well. I will have to share some photos before I take it up to the church. If you live near here, it will be on Nov 1, Crestview United Methodist Church.

Project Material:  Cardstock (Heidi Grace, Neenah); Bats (Soft Spoken); Sentiment (unknown); Ink (Colorbox Chalk); Image (Dustin Pike); Color (Copic Markers); Die Cut (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Adhesives (pop dots, glue all);

Ike's Art

Here's another awesome witch stamp from Ike's Art. I just love this artist's stamps. I made this card for the YSBP challenge (here). It's ending soon, so go share your Halloween card there to be in the drawing for a prize from Ike's art.

The image on this card is called Witchy.  I am using some great die cuts from Spellbinders to create this car, that fun house and the bat.

Cuppie Cake Celebration!

Here's just the cutest Skellie image from Bugaboo. I totally love their adorable images, esp the Skellie kids.   There's a challenge going on over at Fab'n'Funky Challenges this week sponsored by Bugaboo and you need to include a number on your card. So, where's the number on my card you ask?  Just check out that Be Mine ticket!  What a clever way to have a number on there, those adorable little numbered tickets!!  Is it cute that the ticket number is 02142011 or, as I sure you figured out, 02/14/2011 (prob the year in which it was designed).

Hope you loved this cute little Skellie image. Have a wonderful weekend!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Doodlebug, DCWV, Neenah); Image (Bugaboo); Die Cut (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Buttons (Recollections); Bling/Embellishments (K&Co, MAMBI, Little Yellow Bicycle);  Sentiment (Three Bugs in Rug); Adhesives (Pop dots, Glue all, Glue dots); Color (Copic markers);

i love you

Here's an awesome image from Stamping Chef. They are having a challenge this week over on their blog, I had to join in! I love this girl and as you can see had to deck her out in white and pink, hair included. I like her hand signal, very similar to the I love you in sign language.  Here in Austin, we have a place called Donut Taco Palace, they actually make donuts in the shape of a hand "I love you" as well as the hand sign for UT.

Drop by the TSC Challenge Blog and check out all the fun.  Hmmmm, feeling hungry all the sudden...how about a taco that is actually made from a donut (instead of a tortilla)?  You know you want one!

Project Materials:  Cardstocl (Bazzill, Neenah, Glitter, DCWV); Image (Stamping Chef); Embellishments (Sandy Lion, Pebbles, Adorn It); Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Ink (Colorbox Chalk); Buttons (Grandma's Button Bag); Adhesives (pop dots, Glue all, Glue dots); Color (Copic Markers)

Happy Father's Day

Here's a fun image from Sanda Caldwell.  She's currently selling images at Babycakes Doodles and Designs and recently was picked up as an artist at Squigglefly.  Squigglefly just released their June images.  So tomorrow, you will see a card I made using one of her newest stamps from Squigglefly.

Wishing all the fathers out there a Happy Father's Day.  I hope that you have a great day and like the man on this card, get to take a nap and relax.  I know that is probably my favorite treat!

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Bazzill Swiss, Bazzill Bling, Neenah); Image (Sandra Caldwell), Ink (Colorbox Chalk); Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Ribbon (Michaels); Adhesives (Glue dots, Ribbon glue, Glue all, pop dots); Brads (OTC); Color (Copic Markers);

Forest Blue

Happy Friday everyone!  here's an awesome image from Sweet Pea called Forest Blue. This image was designed by artist Ching chou kuik.  I am using very dark green paper as my base and shimmery green flocked paper to mount the image on.  I created a border with Bazzill Bling at the base of my card and then filled the whole card with green bling.  I added a sentiment from K&Co.

To finish the card, I added in a flag border on the corner with cute butterflies and a little flower button.  Here's a close up of the stamp being feature this week:
Do you like her blue hair?  I am using B91-B97 for it, I was initially going to choose a much brighter blue color family, but I didn't want anything that would stand out too far away from the greens that I used to color her dress and wings (G20-G28).

Have a wonderful weekend.

Cheers, Holley

Howdy Y'all

Here's a fun card using a beautiful image from Stamping Chef and gorgeous papers from The Paper Temptress.  Don't you love this combo?  I must say, I love this sassy lady, though personally I don't have a cowgirl hat or boots to my name. Yes, I live in Texas.  I think maybe I do have a cowgirl kind of attitude though!  This fun image is called Howdy Baby.

All the papers here come from Paper Temptress.  The base of the card is a wonderful Mica cardstock called Copper.  The bottom layer as well as the layer that the sentiment is on is a great screenprint from Hambly Studios.  You can get a wonderful assortment of these in a 6x6 assortment pack, which are great for making cards and give you a load of choices for less cost.  This sheet is called Chic Circles, as you know, I am HUGE fan of brown/pink combo.  The image is printed out on Heavenly White.  The fun sentiment comes from Cosmo Crickett.

Project Materials:  Cardstock (Paper Temptress); Image (Stamping Chef); Die Cuts (Spellbinders Nestabilities); Ink (Colorbox Chalk); Sentiment (Cosmo Crickett); Bling (Recollections); Adhesives (pop dots, Glue all, Glue dots); Color (Copic markers);

Happiness

Here's just the cutest little girl from Sherri Baldy.  The challenge over on the SSS Challenge blog is Anything Goes + add a sentiment. I chose this adorable girl and added these cute cardstock stickers, two of which say Love, and the other says "Happiness is spending time together."  Who wouldn't want to go spend time with this adorable girl?  I finished off the card with some adorable glitter buttons and cute bling.

Hope you will join in the fun this week at the SSS Challenge blog.  Sherri gives away wonderful prizes. Go check out the cards that the design team made and then share your creations with us!

Cheers, Holley

Elphaba and her Monkey

Here's a gorgeous creation using a combination of papers from Paper Temptress and an image from Sweet Pea stamps.  This Charmaine Flannery image is called Elphaba and her Monkey.  My coloring is very different from the artist's original, so be sure and check it out to see a different variation.  The variety of papers I am using here are from Paper Temptress.
The base of the card is a gorgeous Mica cardstock called Ruby.  It's a very deep red, almost purple looking color.  The die cut layer is a gorgeous green Heavyweight Cardstock called Citron. THe top cardstock with die cut edges is a lightweight specialty paper from Hambly Studio Screenprints.  It's a tiny piece of a paper called Out on a Limb. Isn't this a great way to use that extra paper that doesn't have the image on it. I just love the shimmery black with the silver accents.

Here's a wonderful close up of the image itself from Sweet Pea stamps. Below I am showing a close up of the gorgeous papers as well as some translucent flowers.  I used some cute polka dot buttons on them as well as a flower rose. I also added some green pearls as highlights.

This card opens normally, and will fit perfectly into those 5.5" square envelopes. So it's just great as a slight variation on general A2 sized cards.  I hope you have some great ideas now.

Cheers, Holley

Easter Blessings

Here's a gorgeous stamp that's being featured all week long at Sweet Pea, it's Easter Blessing from artist Katerina Koukiotis.  I just loved this gorgeous stamp.  I chose to color her first in Copic markers and then cut the image out.  Then I used some gorgeous wings that I die cut from beautiful yellow paper to add wings to her.   I added a vellum sentiment with dark blue bling and a cross brad.

This gorgeous image is available both in rubber as well as digi format.  I think this stamp is great for lots of different card topics.
I hope you all are enjoying all the great ideas with this stamp, be sure and check out all the other Design Team Member's creations this week.  I think they would be gorgeous for Easter Cards or any other topic you might need.

Country Girl

Here's a great image designed by artist Kim Pipkin Gwin.  I must confess though, as a Texas Girl, I actually don't own a single pair of boots.  I can't even recall ever owning a pair boots.  Yes, though I live in TX, I am city folk.  Very much so, I grew up in the metropolis of San Antonio, at the time was the 10th largest city in the USA.  My family did have a ranch, so I probably have a lot more exposure to country life than the majority of my childhood friends. (Though, it's very limited)

Love this gorgeous image she created. Hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday.  hugs and prayers everyone.

If you haven't gotten your Blog candy, please let me know!  I got a package back yesterday...WHOOPS...I had the right address and the wrong city.  UGH. well, when you send out a 100 packages in less than a week, that is bound to happen. I have already contacted that recipient to let her know. But just in case there were other mistakes or postal errors, LMK if you didn't get yours.  I know some international packages will take a while, I got messages late last week from some people who just received theirs.

Cheers, Holley

Smokin' Hot

Here's a great image from The Stampin' Chef, she's just smoking hot.  I think it is the thigh high stockings that I like.  Hmmmm, if only they were socks.  I definitely prefer to wear thigh high socks, as they keep my legs warm.  Figured my hubby would like this card, yep, he's the one for me.

Darkness Falls

Here's an adorable little witch Tilda.  I just love that she's using a modern broom, lol!  She's quite "Spooky" now isn't she?  OK, maybe quite adorable is more accurate.  I had to color her up in Halloween purple and highlight the spider web off the top of her hat.  So cute.

Hope you enjoyed this cute little Magnolia card today, have a great day!

Cheers, Holley
