Settled science?

The BBC's quietly report that:
"For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures.

And our climate models did not forecast it, even though man-made carbon dioxide, the gas thought to be responsible for warming our planet, has continued to rise.

So what on Earth is going on? "
This is very interesting as it is one of the few times that the BBC has acknowledged that there might be a problem with the "science" of global warming. What is even more interesting is that the BBC both report that
"our climate models did not forecast it"
and that
"The UK Met Office's Hadley Centre, responsible for future climate predictions, says it incorporates solar variation and ocean cycles into its climate models, and that they are nothing new.

In fact, the centre says they are just two of the whole host of known factors that influence global temperatures - all of which are accounted for by its models.

In addition, say Met Office scientists, temperatures have never increased in a straight line, and there will always be periods of slower warming, or even temporary cooling."
So the models didn't forecast it but the models include solar variation and ocean cycles"... Hmm that's odd. Are the models faulty? If the models are not faulty then maybe the Hadley Centre could show me the climate predictions that they made 10 years ago that predicted a fall in global temperatures. Maybe the Hadley Centre could also show me where 10 years ago they discussed how solar variation and ocean cycles might negate "global warming". Maybe the Hadley Centre and other proponents of the religion of Man Made Climate Change could stop being so
adamant that they are right and we are running out of time to save the planet.

The EU really don't understand why they are unpopular do they?

Reading The Telegraph on Jose Manuel Barroso's plan for the amount of EU tax paid to appear on all receipts left me confused. Mr Barroso seems to think that this idea would make funding more "transparent" to the public and help citizens by clarifying the link between the taxpayer and the EU budget. I think it more likely that it would highlight quite how much money we pay to be a member of a club that seems to be set upon destroying our democracy. Is it possible that people like Barroso actually want to create division and conflict in Europe? Is there an agenda of which we the public are not aware?
