Polar Playtime Week - Day 1
November 11, 2019
Hello, it's Nicky back with you today with another card for the holiday season. This card features Polar Playtime, together with the Wonky Scalloped Frames Die and Wonky 3D Bow and the sentiment is from Snow Fun.
To start with, I had lots of fun ink blending the background, I used Picked Raspberry, Aged Mahogany and Black Soot Distress Inks to achieve this look. I then loosened up some white acrylic paint with a splash of water and splattered until my heart was content, setting it to one side to fully dry afterwards.
I die cut the white scalloped frames and backed them with foam tape and I also stamped the penguins from Polar Playtime onto Bristol Smooth using black ink and watercolour painted them using Kuretake Zigs in Green, Oatmeal, Light Pink, Bright Yellow, Orange, Natural Gray and Wine Red. I die cut the images, backed them with foam tape and then adhered both frames and penguins to the background.
I die cut and constructed the bow from the Wonky 3D Bow die using some matte gold cardstock in my collection. I adhered it into position and then used a double layer of foam tape discretely inside each loop so that the card could be mailed and the bow wouldn't be crushed. Note .... I didn't remove the protective cover to the top layer of foam. The bow was adhered into position.
Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from Snow Fun using Versamark Ink and heat embossed in gold. I backed it with yet more foam tape and applied. I felt the warm gold touches in this card worked well with the rich colour of the background.
Finally I dotted in some gold gel pen dots into the background and highlighted points on the penguins with a white gel pen.
Hope you like the card, thanks for coming by to read.

Hi
Everyone! Happy New Year! Ashley here today sharing some sweet stamps
to start off the new year. I've seen so many fun tropical family
vacation pictures lately and they inspired me to make this card.
I
started the card by water coloring a soft background. It includes a
wave, sun and a green tropical canopy. Next, I heat embossed Blooming and water colored it in the same soft colors.
Then I stamped, die cut and colored birds from Toucan Party I placed them all over their colorful perch. I added a sentiment from Banner Bits. Finally I added a Wonky 3D Bow. This was a last minute addition and I love it!
Thanks for joining me today!

Hey there, Caryn here today with a collection of cards I created using a fun set called Quirky Christmas. This set of 4 cards were whipped up in no time using just a few supplies and go to show that you can create very different looks using just one stamp set and some essential dies. Each card starts with a 4 bar sized white base with a simple, festive colour palette and a few enamel dot embellishments to finish. I gathered a few fabulous Avery Elle dies, Cherry Pigment Ink and New Moon Dye Ink. I picked a fresh, green card stock from my stash to complement the red for a traditional Christmas feel. However, ANY colour scheme would work equally well!
I laid all five of the tree stamps from the set onto my MISTI stamping tool and inked them all up together using Cherry pigment ink. I stamped 3 times to get a good, even coverage. I then ran them through my Gemini Junior die cutting machine and die cut them all at one - what a time saver! The supplies for each card are listed under the photos.
And
here's a look at all 4 cards together. I plan to create sets like
these in different colours for my holiday cards this year - I might
actually get a few sent out too!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by x

Hello friends,
Katie here with a video to share with you today featuring the Merry Merry clear stamp set and the Gift Box Card Holder Elle-ments die. With a teen and tween in the house, gift cards are a popular item on our family's wish list.
The
Merry Merry stamp set and Gift Box Card Holder die make it easy to
create a fun and festive way to package and present gift cards. I die
cut the Gift Box outer box and insert from red glitter card stock and
used the Wonky Square Frames and Wonky 3D Bow to trim the box to look
like Santa's suit.
I hope you'll take a peek at the video to see how it came together!

Hey everyone! Heather Campbell here today sharing a project I created with the new Snow Tags stamps and coordinating dies!
I heat embossed the snowflakes with Avery Elle white embossing powder and then die cut them out of the cardstock. I then stamped the snowman from Christmas Magic and colored and die cut them. The sentiments were heat embossed as well and cut apart to create more of a label look.
On top of each snowflake, I used the new Wonky 3D Bow die to add a topper to each snowflake. I love these wonky bows so much! The twine is all Avery Elle too. Best. Twine. EVER!
Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me. Have a great one!
xoxo, Heather
