Monster Wishes from Heather

May 21, 2020

Heather created this adorable card back in January and I thought it was worth another look.  Who wouldn't want to receive a cute card like this?!

"For today's card, I'm using the new Cloud Mat die as a backdrop for a fun scene.

To create my card, I first die cut the cloud mat from white cardstock and then a piece of green to create some ground. I love that by doing this I'm able to create even more uses for such a great die.

Then, I stamped, colored and die cut the car and present from Peek-a-Boo Car and monsters and a sentiment sign from Peek-a-Boo Scary Pals. Finally I assembled the card, added white gel and glossy accents.

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me. Have a wonderful day!

Peek-A-Boo Fair Week - Day 3

April 22, 2020

Hello! Amy here with a scene from my childhood!
I LOVED fair time when I was younger.  Bumper cars (and the ZIPPER ride) were my favorites!

I started making my background ink blending Scattered Straw, Spun Sugar, and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks.  Once done, this panel was die cut using the Hatch Mat Elle-ments.  Adding this just gives some interest to the background.  Plus, it reminds me of all the sparking above as the bumper cars sped across the floor!

I added two bumper cars, the unicorn from Peek-A-Boo Fair, and the panda from Peek-A-Boo Pals.  The cars were added with foam adhesive as well as the flags.  To add a little reality to the scene, the tiny spark stamp (from Peek-A-Boo Car) was added between the cars!  As a finishing touch, a sentiment was stamped onto a die cut speech bubble from Speech Bubble Elle-ments.

Peek-A-Boo Jungle Week - Day 4

February 13, 2020

Hey everyone! Heather Campbell here. Today, I've got not one, not two, but THREE super fun cards using the new Peek-a-Boo Pals Jungle stamp and die set.

I have had so much fun with this set. Obviously, I mean THREE cards. :) I love when a set is so easy you can't stop playing! But let's be honest, really I adore all of the peek-a-boo sets. They're so fun to play with and so easy to work with! I'm having fun building my collection of things to put them in and learning all of the different ways they can work with my existing stash of goodies!

First up, a fun design I've used before but honestly can't stop!
For this card, I layered patterned paper onto my card base and then added a layer using the Oval Burst die cut popped up with dimensional foam. Then, I added my animals and sentiment banner from the Peek-a-Boo Pals Jungle set, as well as some accent hearts.
I love how all these guys work together so much!

Next, I decided to work with the Leafy Frame die and combine it with the already released Peek-a-Boo Car. Except this time, I made the car into an all terrain vehicle which you can totally imagine cruising through the jungle.

What was really fun on this card was to cut the Leafy Frame layers twice. Then, I flipped them 180 degrees so that I had two layers worth of dimension with the darker green on the top and a lighter green behind.

Finally, I wanted to go simple and I really wanted to use that smaller circle that sits inside the Leafy Frame die.

Again, I used that sentiment banner and assembled a very easy card using that circle to act as a focal point for the entire card. I love the pop of black and white washi tape behind the banner which accents the zebra. So fun, right?

Well, that's it from me today! I hope you have a wonderful day!
XOXO, Heather

Cloud Mat Week - Day 4

January 2, 2020

Hey everyone! It's Heather Campbell here. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Can you believe it's officially 2020?!?!

Alright, to the card! For today's card, I'm using the new Cloud Mat die as a backdrop for a fun scene.

CelebRAYtion Week - Day 3

August 15, 2019

Hi there!

Elena here, with a fun birthday card featuring the CelebRAYtion stamp set:

I knew when I saw this stamp set that the images were cute, but I didn't realize just HOW CUTE until I colored them. This hammer-head shark is my favorite!

I started out with a sheet of white cardstock and just blended blue inks until I was happy with the saturation. I kept it lighter towards the middle to highlight our shark friend.

I stamped the wave lines from Pool Party in a darker blue for some contrast. I then created a sandy ground and added some algae to the bottom of the scene. I also borrowed the gift image from Peek-A-Boo Car but cut it down some so it fit the space better.

I colored the present, cupcake and party hat in rich red hues, because I love how that looks so much against the watery blue. This color combo is one of my favorites!

To finish off, I added the sentiment right at the top and framed out the scene with a Dotted Frame die.

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Peek-A-Boo Car Week - Day 4

June 28, 2019

Hi Everyone! My kids are out for summer break and we are enjoying so many adventures! Today's card features a dolphin having an adventure of his own! ;)

To create my card I started by stamping, die cutting and coloring the jeep and gift from Peek a Boo Car along with the dolphin from Peek a Boo Pals Summer. Next I die cut Summer Scene dies, inked up several pieces and then layered them in to a scene on my card.

I finished the card with an embossed sentiment from Peek a Boo Car.

Thanks for stopping by!

Peek-A-Boo Car Week - Day 3

June 27, 2019

Hey all! It's Heather here and I'm back with a card and a video today!

I'm super excited about the new Peek-a-Boo Car set but must admit I was a little nervous about it. I didn't know what people would think of it - if it would make sense. I'm thrilled to hear so many of you like it!

To create my card, I created a custom background you can check out in the video.

Once my background was complete, I stamped and colored in the images and assembled my card. So stinking cute and so much fun!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Peek-A-Boo Car Week - Day 2

June 25, 2019

Hi there!

Elena here, with a fun card featuring the Peek-A-Boo Car stamp set:

I decided to throw it back to the Peek-A-Boo Pets stamp set and put a cat and dog duo into the car. Of course the cat is driving, and of course the dog has both paw through the windshield  and his whole head out.

I colored the car a bright red, and stuck the cute siren on top. I think that takes this set over-the-top with cuteness!

To create some depth to the entire scene, I placed the present in the back seat, and then backed the car in a piece of vellum. I colored that vellum using a dark grey marker so that it looked more shadowed.

The background was created using the round sun from the Summer Scenes die set, and the polaroid-looking layer that comes with the cute clouds (Grand Photo Mat die set.)

I made sure that the background was as punchy as the bright red car! I selected a vibrant yellow and a vivid blue to make sure that everything really popped against the white polaroid layer.

To ground the card, I adhered everything onto a kraft colored base layer.

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Peek-A-Boo Car Week - Day 1

June 24, 2019

Hi friends!

Katie here with a card to share with you featuring the super fun Peek-A-Boo Car Clear Stamps.  Our Peek-A-Boo friends are all grown up and driving, but they're aren't the only furry pals who are itching to get behind the wheel...

The flashing alarm, or should I say a-llama, light that you can add to the top of the car inspired me to pull out a set released earlier this year, and I put a couple of the Llamas from the Llamazing clear stamp set behind the wheel for a little birthday fun! I stamped, colored and die cut the car, alarm, cactus, gift and llama images. I placed the llamas in the car window and trimmed off any excess of the stamped images.

I positioned the car and the other images on a panel blended with Distress Oxide inks and anchored it with some die cuts from the Cityscape Elle-ments die (which is on SALE now) and the Dotted Frames Elle-ments set. I stamped the sentiment from the Llamazing stamp set onto black card stock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. The Reverse Pinked Rectangles Elle-ments die (also on SALE) frames the images and die cuts and some clear sequins add a sparkly finishing touch.

Thanks so much for driving by today!
Stop by each day this week for more Peek-A-Boo fun!
