Snow Tags Week - Day 1

September 10, 2018

Hi there!

It's Yainea here today featuring the Snow Tags stamps and coordinating die.
As soon as I saw these snowflake stamps I knew I was going to create something with vellum involved. Finally, I decided to make a pair of Christmas tags. I started by stamping and heat embosing the snowflakes on vellum, using white embossing powder.
Then I used the coordinating die to cut them and another two dies out of watercolor paper. I took my AE liquid watercolors and randomly colored the snowflake bases.

While the bases were drying, I cut two banners out of white cardstock and stamped the sentiments from the Snowflakes stamp set.
The final step was mounting all together. I used my Crop a Dile to place an eyelet on the tags, then I adhered the banners on top, added some golden sequins as a finishing touch and last, tied some golden string.

I hope you like what I made for today, maybe these tags inspire you a bit to create your own Christmas tags, it's a fun process and they're really pretty in real life!

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day!

Snowflakes Week - Day 4

October 19, 2017

Hi! Today I'm sharing Snowflakes! I added a little Festive Wreath light bulbs in for fun too!

I started the card by heat embossing the sentiment. I love the font combination of this sentiments. Next, I blended the background with Distress Inks and then stamped the snowflakes with Distress Oxide.

I cut the card front and die cut a window using Wonky Stitches dies. Next I stamped and die cut the lights from Festive Wreath. The string is the "tails" from sentiments in Snowflakes dies.

I hope you have a great day!

Snowflakes Week

October 18, 2017

Hello there!
It's Yainea here with a Christmas card featuring the gorgeous Snowflakes stamps and dies. This set is perfect to create a lot of different cards and try different techniques.

I started by stamping the snowflakes with Versamark ink on vellum and then heat emboss them.
I used the Wonky Stitched dies to cut my base panel, I wanted a watercolor background for my card so I took some Distress inks, rubbed the ink pads on my acrylic block, added water and then I just used them like regular watercolors, adding different colors in different layers to achieve that effect.

Then, I used a Perfect Pearls spray on top to add some shine and adhered the sentiment and snowflakes. Finally, I adhered my panel to a white card base and the card was done. So fun! :)
I hope you like it!

Have an amazing day!

Snowflake Week - Day 3

Hello!  Amy K. here with a glittery, metallic winter card using the Snowflakes stamp set.  I started with a white panel and using Silver Embossing Powder, heat embossed the various snowflakes.  I used the dotted border die from Picket Fence Elle-ments as the edge.  I inlaid the Let it Snow from Snowflakes Elle-ments using silver glitter paper.  I left off any embellishments to keep this flat except for the foam adhesive on the curved panel so it is easy to mail!

Snowflakes Week - Day 1

October 16, 2017

This week we are featuring our lovely Snowflakes stamp and die set.  I hope that you enjoy all of the inspiration this week!

Hi there, it's Caryn Davies here today sharing a bright and festive holiday card featuring the gorgeous Snowflakes Clear Stamps.  I know bright pink isn't the traditional colour you would think to pick for a snow-themed card but it's the holidays - anything goes in my book and the brighter, the better!!

I started with a pink 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" base card and die cut a rectangle mat from white card and heat embossed a flurry of snowflakes onto it in white.  I then took some Magenta Infusions powder from Paper Artsy (available at Simon Says Stamp) and sprinkled it over the snowflakes.  You may think there's nothing there and be tempted to add a ton of powder - DON'T!  As soon as you add a spray of water over the powder the intense pigment just comes alive!  You can add more obviously and dab off where you want but these powders are just so much fun.

Once it had dried I used the Let It Snow sentiment and heat embossed a strip of vellum in white.  I wrapped it round the panel and mounted it all onto the card base.  To finish I added a few dots of white Nuvo Drops here and there.

Frosty Friends Week - Day 1 & Viedo

October 2, 2017

Hi everyone!  This week we are featuring project examples using our new Frosty Friends Clear Stamps & Dies.  I hope you love the projects as much as I do!!

Hey there Avery Elle Fans, it's Caryn here with a card using the Frosty Friends stamp set (designed by me!).

My usual take on a snowy themed card would be to reach for the pale blues and aqua shades to give a classic icy feel to the image.  This time however, given the vintage style of the set I thought I'd try to recreate a more old-fashioned look, like an old sepia photo.

I've also made a little video showing how this card card came together using a partial die-cutting technique which is lots of fun!
