CelebRAYtion Week - Day 3

August 15, 2019

Hi there!

Elena here, with a fun birthday card featuring the CelebRAYtion stamp set:

I knew when I saw this stamp set that the images were cute, but I didn't realize just HOW CUTE until I colored them. This hammer-head shark is my favorite!

I started out with a sheet of white cardstock and just blended blue inks until I was happy with the saturation. I kept it lighter towards the middle to highlight our shark friend.

I stamped the wave lines from Pool Party in a darker blue for some contrast. I then created a sandy ground and added some algae to the bottom of the scene. I also borrowed the gift image from Peek-A-Boo Car but cut it down some so it fit the space better.

I colored the present, cupcake and party hat in rich red hues, because I love how that looks so much against the watery blue. This color combo is one of my favorites!

To finish off, I added the sentiment right at the top and framed out the scene with a Dotted Frame die.

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

An Adorable Pool Party Card By Nicky

August 13, 2019

Hey everybody it's Nicky here with you today and I've got a new card that uses the Grand Photo Die and I also used one of the stamped images and a sentiment from Pool Party.

To make this card I die cut a 110lb white cardstock panel using the Grand Photo Die.   I took all the individual pieces and ink blended them using Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass.

I chose the sentiment from Pool Party because I just adore it and because it nicely fit the banner.  I flexed it onto my acrylic stamping block so that it would mimic the wave of the banner.

I reassembled the Grand Photo die cut and adhered everything together on the back and applied the panel to the white cardstock base.

On Copic friendly paper I stamped the image from Pool Party using Memento black ink and coloured it with toning Copic colours.  I die cut the image with the coordinating dies and then added a coat of glossy accents to the unicorn inflatable and the girl's sunglasses and once dry it was backed with craft foam and applied to the scene.

I used Nuvo drops and sparkling clear sequins to embellish the scene and then this simple card was finished.

Many thanks for coming by to read today.  See you next time!

Pool Party Week - Day 5

August 2, 2019

Hi Everyone, it's Ashley. It's a Pool Party! Today I'm sharing a fun summer favorite. Let's take a peek...

To create my card I started by stamping, die cutting and coloring a lot of fun stamps from Pool Party I love the idea of two best friends floating the afternoon away in a blow up pool. Silly, right?

Next I created the background by masking, inking and ink splattering. Then, I added my stamped sentiment.

I completed the card with a frame from Plus Frame Die. I love how this frame completes almost any card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pool Party Week - Day 4

August 1, 2019

Hey all! It's Heather Campbell here and I'm back with a fun card using the super adorable Pool Party stamp set.

For my project I thought it'd be fun to share a little bit of how I created it.

First, I die cut and colored in all of the images I wanted to use from Pool Party. Then, I decided I wanted to mount it on a fun layer. I decided to use the Quilted die in a non traditional way. I thought this would be a fun tip to share. :) I just filled the inside of the opening with dimensional foam and then completely covered it up with images. I love how you can really stretch your stash using this little tip.

Finally, I just assembled the card. Super fun. I cannot wait to give this card away!

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me.

Have a great one!
Heather

Pool Party Week - Day 3

July 31, 2019

Hello there!

It's Yainea here today sharing a summery and refreshing card that features the cute Pool Party set.

Inspired by the sparkling sun over a pool surface, I had to transform the little pool on a shaker full of sparkling elements! I love the sweet drawings on this set, those girls are you to cute and really fun to color!

To create the card, I started by adding a quick watercolor background on a sand color over watercolor paper that I previously die cut with the Wonky Stitched border die.

Then I stamped and colored all the images with Copic markers (except for the pool, that was stamped on colored paper). Then I mounted the shaker and put all the elements together using Ae adhesive and foam adhesive.

I hope this card brings a smile to you on this beautiful day! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Pool Party Week - Day 1

Hi there!

Elena here, with a pastel-colored Pool Party card:

I created an aperture by cutting into the white cardstock layer with the Pierced Hexagon die. It allowed me to create this ocean scene with the 2 girls on their floaties.

I splattered the pink sky with a darker pink ink, added some white dots, and cut out layers of waves using the Summer Scene die set. I also set a few clouds into the sky, to break up all of that pink, using dies from the Grand Photo Mat die set.

I'm pretty sure that drink will be floating away but I wish I was there right now!

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Peek-A-Boo Summer Pals Week - Day 5

June 21, 2019

Hi Everyone! I'm super excited to share this fun summer card!

I LOVE the new Peek a Boo Summer Pals stamp set. I started by stamping, die cutting and coloring the three birds in the set.

Next, I made them a fun scene to hang out in. The wave was created with the new Summer Scene wave die. I die cut a mask and then inked the wave. Next, I cut out my own palm branch from masking paper and inked it up a few times to create a tree.

Then, I placed the birds in the scene and added a few splashes from Pool Party Finally, I stamped and die cut "hello" from Peek a Boo Summer Pals and added twine.

Peek-A-Boo Summer Pals Week - Day 2

June 18, 2019

Hi everyone,

Katie here. It's Peek-A-Boo Summer Pals week, and I am so excited to share a card I made using this cute stamp set.

I used the Sea Scene Elle-Ments die to create a little background for a Peek-A-Boo Summer Pal pool party.  The Summer Scene die is perfect for tucking the Pals into the waves.

I stamped, colored, and die cut the images  before adhering them onto the Sea Scene die cut.  I stamped the sentiment and speech bubble with black ink and added a yellow sun to the corner of the water scene. I die cut a yellow circle with the edge of the Sea Scene die to nest the two shapes together.

I hope this sunshiny card brightens your day!
Thanks for stopping by!
Katie

Hi there! It's Elena here, and I also have a card to share with you using the Summer Pals stamp set:

Katie and I had similar ideas to pair the stamp set with the Sea Scene die! I just love it so much. I die-cut it out of white cardstock and did some ink-blending over the whole thing, keeping it much lighter toward the center and darker around the edges. I then flecked on some white paint and added some white gel pen accents.

While Katie colored herself a cute lobster (or crab??) I made him into a frog, and stuffed him into the same floatie as his bff, the flamingo. Seriously, aren't they adorable?

I wanted it to look like the flamingo has her wings around the frog. This is basically me with every best friend I've ever had. I'm a short 5ft, 1inch gal, and I've never had a best friend shorter than 5ft9inches. haha.

A little tip: to get both of them to fit into the floatie together, I had to snip off a part of the flamingo's body.

I added some spash droplets, a sunny yellow band of patterned paper to the left side of the card and a sentiment from Pool Party to finish things off.

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Rainbows Week - Day 2

June 4, 2019

Hi there!

Elena here, with a bright and happy card featuring products from the newest release. One of my favorite stamp sets is Rainbows! It makes for such a fun card:

Isn't it fun? I started out by stamping the rainbow image, and used the matching die to cut it out (the die set is great even on its own! You can cut out the stamped image, or use it with colored paper without the stamp set.) I colored the rainbow stripes with copic markers, keeping the colors lighter than a set of primary colors.

Behind the rainbow, I cut out a piece of white cardstock using the Ray background die. I used a blending brush and some soft yellow ink to add a layer of sunshine.

I wanted to do something different for the sentiment. I made the sentiment adopt the same curve as the rainbow and then just chopped it on either side. This was easy to do using the Rainbows die - the tricky curve part is already perfectly layed out.

And what's a sunshine-y day without someone to enjoy it? I have this adorable sunbather (from Pool Party) relaxing in the ocean. Honestly, my favorite thing in the world - to bring my folding chair into the ocean and just read a book with the shallow waves lapping over my legs. Heaven!

I hope you like what I made for you today! Thanks for stopping by!
