So Kind Week - Day 4

May 2, 2019

Hi!  This is Nicky back with you today and I'm sharing a cute card that puts the sentiment set So Kind front and center.  I combined my sentiment with the Peek-A-Boo Pets stamp set and coordinating Elle-ments and I used the Arrow Mat Die to frame out my scene.

To make this card I first ink blended two panels of cardstock so that they sort of matched.  I used Distress Oxide in Shaded Lilac and Distress Ink in Tattered Rose and I also splattered a little Shaded Lilac using a wet paintbrush.   One panel was attached to my card base and the second was die cut using the Arrow Mat Die.

I applied the frame to the card base backed with dimensional foam tape to lift it up.  The negative cut was stamped with the sentiment from So Kind using Versamark Ink and heat embossed in white.  Since I used my Misti and this is a chunky sentiment I like the ultra embossed look and so I re-stamped and heat embossed so it stood out even more - you could even go back a third time!   I adhered this panel back through the space in the frame.

On Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped my images from Peek-A-Boo Pets using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil.  I watercolour painted the cuties using Kuretake Zigs in the following colours - Oatmeal 064,  Mid Gray 096, Flesh Color 071, Light Pink 026, Pale Pink 028, Warm Gray(2) 900 and finally Pale Orange 054.  Each image was then die cut.  They were applied to the scene with more dimensional foam tape.

Points on the pets were highlighted using a Uni-ball Signo White gel pen and I found some toning jewel embellishments to dot around the scene which I adhered with Ranger Multi Medium Matte.

Hope you like the card and I look forward to seeing you next time with something new!

Nicky x

All Of Us Week - Day 5

February 15, 2019

Hi Everyone! Ashley here today sharing a few of my favorites from the brand new release! When I was unpacking my new stamps there were definitely a few stamp sets that grabbed my attention. All of Us was one of those sets. I love it!

I started this card with those adorable bears! I had such a fun time choosing how I wanted them to look. I absolutely adore that panda bear! Next, I used the Arrow Mat die to cut out a triangle to create the window. Then, I had a lot of fun and blended the hill and sky with Distress Oxides. I wanted a big sentiment so I die cut Happy Birthday from gold glitter card stock with the Confetti Mat die.

Finally I added a few clouds from the Photo Mat Die and adhered all of the pieces together.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! I can't wait to see what you create!

All of Us Week - Day 2

February 12, 2019

Hey there Avery Elle fans, Caryn here today with a fun card with a masculine touch using the wonderfully cute new ALL OF US stamp set and dies.  I have also used another fabulous new die set from the current release called Arrow Mat which comes with this awesome frame and a small panel to co-ordinate.

I started with a grey card base and die cut the Arrow Frame die from white cardstock.  I used foam tape to pop this onto the card front.  I stamped the row of cats image twice and coloured them with Copics then snipped the two rows in half so I could stack them and have them fit onto an A2 portrait card.  So versatile!

To finish I stamped and die cut one of the signs and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment onto it.  I think this set is great for all occasions - masculine and feminine - can't wait to play with it some more!
