Merry Die Week - Day 1

November 1, 2021

Hello peeps!  It's Caryn with a festive Christmas card created with some fun products from the latest release.  The Merry die I've used on this card is one of my favourites of the whole release - I adore it!

I started by stamping a single layer branch from the Layered Pine stamp set on the background of the card.  I wanted the branches to radiate out from behind the green oval die cut (the positive piece left over from using the Quilted Frame Elle-ments on a card I shared a wee while ago!).  I added some tiny stars, another left over from cutting the Star Scene die for a previous card!

I cut some snow hills using the Slimline Borders elle-ments and adhered them in layers over the oval die cut.

I stamped the truck and trees from the Layered Holiday Truck set and arranged them in front of the oval and die cut the Merry in a blue cardstock to match the truck.
As a final flourish I stamped and coloured the bow from the Prosecco-Ho-Ho stamp set and added it below the sentiment.  By the way, the "Tis The Season To Be" is a selectively stamped sentiment from the Prosecco stamp set!  I just covered the "Merry" on the end with washi tape before inking up the stamp, then removed it to stamp.

Layered Holiday Truck - Day 2

September 29, 2021

Hello!

Amy here with a darling new set called Layered Holiday Truck.
Since it is officially fall, my truck is blue with some festive fall pumpkins!

To highlight this adorable truck, I used the Quilted Frame Elle-ments.  To the oval behind the truck, the orange dusky sky was ink blended with orange ink.  To keep it simple, a sentiment, from Fall Picnic, was curved onto a block and stamped in black ink.  To keep this masculine, I layered my frame and scene onto kraft cardstock with no embellishements!  BUT I can't wait to use this truck done in RED for the holidays!

Layered Holiday Truck Week - Day 1

September 27, 2021

Hi there, Caryn here today with a couple of cards and a video sharing some tips on using the Layered Holiday Truck stamp set.
I love this vintage style set and once you get everything lined up it creates a fun, retro look perfect for the holidays.

I made two cards - one Fall themed and one Christmas themed.  I love how they both turned out.
I pulled out some older die sets to create today's cards.  The first uses the gorgeous Quilted Frame Elle-ments in a dark, pine green. and layered some snowy hills behind the oval aperture using the Slimline Borders Elle-ments

The little holly flourish is from the Prosecco-ho-ho stamp set and I created the sentiment banners using the wavy banner from the Easy Layers 1 Elle-ments set.

For the second card I created a simple Thank You card by stamping the truck in two shades of blue and then loading it up with the little pumpkin stack from the set.  I die cut the Star Scene elle-ments and then finished it off with the sentiment from the Invitation Frame Elle-ments.

March 17, 2021

Hello!!  Amy here today sharing a few cards that are rainbow inspired!!

This first card uses the mini stamp set called Look for Rainbows.  I couldn't let this image go by without coloring the umbrella in rainbow fashion!!  Images were colored with Copic markers, die cut, and added with foam adhesive to a Quilted Frame Elle-ments done in white cardstock and backed with pattern paper from The Holiday Collection Paper Pad.  The sentiment fit perfectly stamped in the open space in the background.  Die cut raindrops with Glossy Accents finished off the card.

Sending Hugs Week - Day 2

January 26, 2021

Hello friends,

Katie here with a couple of cards to share with you using the absolutely adorable Sending Hugs stamp set.

For my first card, I stamped the envelop and the koala onto white card stock and colored the images with Copic markers.

I die cut the images with the coordinating Elle-ments dies and adhered them to the Quilted Frame Elle-ments die cut. I stamped the sentiment on the envelop image and attached the die cut frame to an A-2 notecard.

For my second card, I die cut the XOXO elements three times on an A2 panel. Behind the die cut panel, I adhered strips of card stock cut in 1/4" strips.

Inside the "O"s I adhered three of the cute critters from the Sending Hugs set. I stamped the images onto white card stock, colored them with Copic Markers and die cut them with the coordinating Elle-ments dies. I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of white card stock and adhered it to the card.

Tropical Bouquet Week - Day 2

August 4, 2020

Hello!
Amy here today with tropical, summer vibes!
Tropical Bouquet is a bold stamp set that lends itself to so many techniques.

Silhouettes made with bold stamping is a fun technique.  While I love to make the stamps shine on their own using inks, bold black ink makes a statement as well especially when paired with a colorful blended background.

I masked off an area measuring 1 1/2" and ink blended Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron Distress Inks.  These colors blend effortlessly!  The images were stamped with bold black ink and die cut using the coordinating Tropical Bouquet Elle-ments.  After arranging and adhering the images, the sentiment was stamped along the blended blackground.  A few clear drops were added for shine.

While my second card doesn't use a technique, I wanted to share how gorgeous these stamps are with Avery Elle Pigment Inks:  Lemon Grass, Magenta, Mimosa, and Celery.  They were arranged over a Quilted Frame Elle-ments along with some clear drops.

Hello!  Originally we were planning on releasing our May products this coming Thursday.  Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 situation, our release is delayed until June.  Don't worry, it will be worth the wait!!!  In the mean time, we plan on highlighting some of our favorite design team projects!  They are amazing!

This card by Katie is too cute!  I love the ink blending.  It is fabulous.  The colors she chose for the bunny and mouse are perfection too!

Wheelie Great Week - Day 3

January 22, 2020

Hello!

Katie here with a little Wheelie Great inspiration to share with you today. The images in Wheelie Great are so sweet. I love all the accessories and different elements that can be added to the bicycling bunny.

I stamped the bunny, mouse, flowers and cake image onto white card stock and colored the images with Copic markers. I die cut the images with the coordinating Wheelie Great Elle-ments dies. I also die cut a panel of white card stock with the Quilted Frame Elle-ments die. I blended the center oval with Distress Ink before adhering the images to the oval and attaching all the die cuts to an A-2 notecard.

I stamped the sentiment onto one of the narrow tags from the Party Tag Elle-ments die set. I adhered the tag to the card and added a light yellow button over the hole in the tag as a finishing touch.

Supplies

Hello.  It's Caryn here again and this week the Avery Elle team are shining the light on the gorgeous Wheelie Great stamp set.  That bunny is the cutest and when I see a bunny, I just have to put a cotton tail on him!!

I started with a white card base and took one of the papers from the Create Magic card kit.  I also used a grassy border piece from the ephemera pack to set my scene.  I die cut a frame using the Dotted Frame die (which I have realised has just been retired - sorry) and then stamped and coloured the images I wanted for my card.

For the sentiment I took the smallest of the tags from the Party Tag collection and stamped on to it.  As there is a hole at the end I covered it with a wee butterfly!  All that was left to do was add the pom pom to the bunny!

Fall Foliage Week - Day 3

September 25, 2019

Hello friends,

Katie here with a card to share with you featuring the gorgeous Fall Foliage stamp set. I love fall and all the colors that burst forth from the trees. It's also an opportunity to use some Copic Marker color combinations that evoke the hues and shades of fall. With that in mind, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite Copic colors for Fall.

To create my card, I stamped the images from the Fall Foliage stamp set with Versamark ink and heat embossed the images with gold embossing powder. Next I colored the images using the Copic markers noted in the image above.  I die cut the images and arranged them in a wreath around the opening of the Quilted Frame Elle-ments die.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto an A2 notecard. I adhered the quilted frame die and images to the notecard with foam tape and adhered a few clear droplets as a finishing touch.

Supplies

That's all for me today. I hope that these color combinations are helpful as you capture the colors of Fall on your cards.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pool Party Week - Day 4

August 1, 2019

Hey all! It's Heather Campbell here and I'm back with a fun card using the super adorable Pool Party stamp set.

For my project I thought it'd be fun to share a little bit of how I created it.

First, I die cut and colored in all of the images I wanted to use from Pool Party. Then, I decided I wanted to mount it on a fun layer. I decided to use the Quilted die in a non traditional way. I thought this would be a fun tip to share. :) I just filled the inside of the opening with dimensional foam and then completely covered it up with images. I love how you can really stretch your stash using this little tip.

Finally, I just assembled the card. Super fun. I cannot wait to give this card away!

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me.

Have a great one!
Heather

You've Got This Week - Day 3

April 17, 2019

Hello!  Amy here with a card using a small stamp set called You've Got This.  It has one large sentiment with many small supporting sentiments that can be used for many difficult occasions where you just don't know what to say.

Youve Got This

I started with the Quilted Frame Die done in white cardstock.  Since this frame has an opening in the center, Broken China Distress Ink was blended in the center.  After adhering the frame, I began working on some older but gorgeous blooms from Floral Bouquet.  I white heat embossed the blooms using Pure White Fine Embossing Powder and used the Emboss Resist technique to add color with Distress Inks Worn Lipstick, Broken China, and Squeezed Lemonade/Mustard Seed.  All the images were die cut using the Floral Bouquet Elle-ments and adhered to the notecard with foam adhesive.

The sentiment takes center stage when done in black with the layering die cut done in white.  This was added across the panel and a white heat embossed sentiment strip was added over the top with foam adhesive.  A few white gems were added to finish the card.

Journey Week - Day 3

April 3, 2019

Hey there, Caryn here today with a pretty pastel card using the fabulous Journey stamp set and dies.   I've paired it with an awesome new coverplate die called Quilted Frame.  I love the way it looks with a little white pigment ink blended around the aperture - it gives the scene a pretty, whimsical feel.

I used the Quilted Frame die to cut the base panel from aqua cardstock and then with a blending brush and Avery Elle White Pigment ink I added a soft halo effect around the aperture.  I stamped and die cut the main car image and trees from the stamp set and coloured them with Copics before adding some clear shimmer here and there.

Once I assembled the pieces in place with foam tape I stamped the sentiment on a curve and added "Just Married" to the number plate.  Love how this set can be used for so many occasions just by changing the the sentiments that are included.

Hey everyone! Heather here sharing my latest card using the new Easter Chicks stamp set.

These Easter Chicks are just too fun and it's such a cute little set.  I also love how they're totally versatile and work for way more than just Easter.

To create my card, I stamped and die cut each of the chicks and butterflies.  Then I colored them in and added some sweet gel pen accents.  Then I heat embossed and die cut the banner from Banner Bits. Finally, I die cut my layers using the new Quilted Frame cover plate die.

Such a sweet little grouping of chicks.

Easter Chicks Week - Day 3

March 13, 2019

Hello friends!

Spring is in the air, and Easter is just around the corner.  I have a sweet card to share with you today featuring the adorable Easter Chicks stamp set.

To make the card, first I blended some Distress Oxide ink onto a panel of watercolor card stock and spattered the background with spray ink. I stamped the chicks, eggshell and butterflies using Avery Elle's dye ink in New Moon and colored the images using Copic makers.

I die cut the images using the coordinating Easter Chicks Elle-ments dies and arranged them onto the blended background.  I stamped the sentiment and the butterfly trails and added some polka dots to he eggshell using a white gel pen.  Finally, I framed the scene using the new Quilted Frames Elle-ments die and adhered the panel to a yellow A-2 notecard.
