Rawr Week - Day 3

April 29, 2020

Hello!  Amy here today with a card that is is just Dino-Mite!  Do you find it difficult to put a background together for critter stamps?  I have one technique that is so easy and gives a wow to the background.....repeated stamped with emboss resist.

RAWR

I started with a white panel of card stock.  Using Versamark resist ink, I repeatedly stamped the bold 'RAWR' from the Rawr stamp set.  This panel was heat embossed with Avery Elle Pure White Embossing Powder.  Using Broken China, Shabby Shutters, and Peeled Paint Distress Inks to blend over the embossed panel, the panel was then buffed with a paper towel to remove any excess ink on the embossing.  This leaves a crisp white background!

Using a standard circle die, the circle was die cut from a trimmed white panel.  This created the perfect "sky" and "grass" (made from the embossed background) for my Copic colored dinosaur.  A white heat embossed sentiment strip was added to ground my dinosaur.  The stars (from Peek-A-Boo Fair) were stamped in black ink to tie in with the party hat.  The pierced clouds (from Cloud Mat Elle-ments) and dinosaur were adhered using foam adhesive.

Peek-A-Boo Fair Week - Day 5

April 24, 2020

Hi Everyone! I'm excited to share Peek a Boo Fair!

This set is so much fun! To create my card I started by lightly water coloring the background. Next, I stamped the ferris wheel, unicorn and flags from Peek a Boo Fair.

Then I stamped the monkey and panda from Peek a Boo Pals. I colored and die cut all of the images. Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment from Speech Bubbles.

Thanks for stopping by!

Peek A Boo Fair Elle-ments to die cut the images
Peek A Boo Jungle Clear Stamp for the images
Peek A Boo Jungle Elle-ments to die cut the images
The Spring Collection Paper Pad for the background

Peek-A-Boo Fair Week - Day 3

April 22, 2020

Hello! Amy here with a scene from my childhood!
I LOVED fair time when I was younger.  Bumper cars (and the ZIPPER ride) were my favorites!

I started making my background ink blending Scattered Straw, Spun Sugar, and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks.  Once done, this panel was die cut using the Hatch Mat Elle-ments.  Adding this just gives some interest to the background.  Plus, it reminds me of all the sparking above as the bumper cars sped across the floor!

I added two bumper cars, the unicorn from Peek-A-Boo Fair, and the panda from Peek-A-Boo Pals.  The cars were added with foam adhesive as well as the flags.  To add a little reality to the scene, the tiny spark stamp (from Peek-A-Boo Car) was added between the cars!  As a finishing touch, a sentiment was stamped onto a die cut speech bubble from Speech Bubble Elle-ments.

Peek-A-Boo Fair Week - Day 2

April 21, 2020

Hi friends,

Katie here with a Double Feature video. Two cards using the Peek-A-Boo Fair stamp set.  This set makes an adorable backdrop for the Peek-A-Boo pals. I just couldn't decide between bumper cars and ferris wheel, so I bought the extra ride ticket and made two cards!

I really love the "I miss bumping into you" sentiment paired with the bumper car images. I know many of us miss bumping into our special friends right now.

The dragon from the Peek-A-Boo Scary Pals joined the unicorn for a fun day at the fair. The dragon looks so festive in a party hat while the unicorn snacks on cotton candy.

I hope you will take a peek at my video to see how the cards came together!

Peek-A-Boo Fair Week - Day 1

April 20, 2020

Hey there Avery Elle fans.  I hope everyone is managing to keep themselves safe and well and occupied with some fun activities?!  I've suddenly become a baker, interior decorator, garden designer to name but a few things, lol!

Of course I've also been finding some crafty time and this week have a card featuring the fabulous Peek-a-Boo Fair set.

I created an ink blended background and then stamped the ferris wheel image onto white card and die cut it.  I also stamped it onto one of the papers from the Spring Collection paper pad then fussy cut the "baskets" and pieced them onto the ferris wheel.  I used a white gel pen on the stars to make them pop.

I love this set - it's such a unique concept!

Loads Of Happy Week - Day 4

March 12, 2020

Hi Everyone! Ashley here sharing Loads of Happy  paired with a few other sets!

I started this card with the unicorn and bumper car from Peek a Boo Fair. I knew I wanted to use a Loads of Happy sentiment but by starting with the images I was able to establish colors and layout. Next, I heat embossed the large happy birthday sentiment from the Loads of Happy stamp set. The font style is perfect and trendy and the size is so fun to work with. The card needed a little bit more so I added the balloons from Sweet Swines. Finally, I stamped a few starts from Peek a Boo Fair.

I'm so glad I have a card to add to my Birthday card stash. I love having several available for all of the upcoming birthdays!

Thanks for stopping by!
