Michael's mini-animal garden

A year ago Michael saw a fairy garden and wanted to make a Non-fairy garden. So we came up with the idea of a mini-animal garden. We've been collecting pieces for it for the past year and today Grandma and Michael put it together.

They used our old Radio flyer wagon that I had flowers in...

When the pansies die off we will add more succulents to it...They added succulents that I had and that we bought today.

Fred thought the mushrooms were real, they aren't, they are ceramic.

Here is his squirrel on a garden bench.

~

He has a bridge and we will add a stream and pond later. He has an alligator and two turtles also. I am sure a small snake will be added. He has a sea turtle he wants to use too, but it will have to wait until the pond and stream are put in...

Michael loves it and pretty much created while Grandma helped.

Port Aransas, Texas

I took my Mother over to Port Aransas today.
I thought the weather was going to be decent but I was wrong. We ran into fog and scattered rain showers. Not the greatest day to go to the coast but it was nice to get out of the house for a bit...

Waiting to cross the inner coastal waterway on the car ferry....

Brown Pelican

Foggy on the inner coastal...

Pelicans flying down the inner coastal...

Mustang Island beach wasn't too great and the water was oh so cold!!

Taking photos of each other, lol

We didn't stay too long...

But there is always another day...

Oh Happy Day!

Gorgeous Sunset this evening...due to smoke blowing in from Rockport Texas. The smoke was bad and I contacted the local VFD to find out where the brush fire was at and they told me Rockport Texas...Hard to believe that smoke blew in from way over there, but then it was windy out!

Happy day due to the fact that Michael is finally feeling better and after all the blood work and tests there was nothing wrong other than he had a virus...and I also got my Jeep back from the dealership after 3 weeks!! The Jeep wasn't even 2 years old and they had to replace the heads and coolant/heater system due to some manufacturer defects. Hopefully it will be good to go now!!

Goliad State Park

Michael and I went over to Goliad State Park for lunch and then walked around taking photos...

I spotted some wood violets...

I didn't realize violets grew in South Texas until a few years ago when I found them growing down by the creek.
