Good News and Bad News...

~
The good news is it rained!!!!

We had over an inch in the past two hours. It is clearing off and there is part of a rainbow...Beautiful Rain!
~
Bad news is my husband is in agony in Laredo and there isn't a thing I can do...He has another kidney stone, ugh! He's going to try to tough it out in his hotel room. We shall see because the last time this happened he ended up in the Hospital on a morphine drip as he couldn't handle the pain...It is to late for me to run down there tonight and hopefully by morning he'll be okay...I just hate sitting here and playing the waiting game, grrr....

As soon as I saw you...

I knew an Adventure
was going to happen...
When my friend Dawn came to visit me in June we went down to the creek and she asked for a photo...so I posed, lol...(another words I gave her the look!)
When I saw the quote (elegantwordart.com) I laughed because the first time I saw Dawn I knew we were going to be friends and ohhh the Adventures we have had...I can't wait to have MORE....
I used a template and paper designed by Jen at Jencropable.com and guess what??? Jen has opened a store on her blog to sell her designs...So go take a look see...She's got some really gorgeous items and I am sure she would appreciate some love....

I had to share...

I so love doing different Desktops Displays for my Monitor and this is one I found for July...I'm fond of the little Calenders you can find on some of them too....
This one is a freebie and I found it here Eva Kipler Designs

I did another one too...(I couldn't decide)

The one above I found at Hawt Mama Team blog and it is a Freebie too...
They are easy to put together and basically all you have to do is add your photos!! Most of the designers have the different sizes for the different sized Monitors too...So go have fun and put a beautiful page up for the month of July.

A Little of This and That...

These photos are from yesterday evening and this evening...
This evening I saw Thunderheads off to the West and thought...
Please, Please, Please rain here....
I could see rain in the distant clouds....
This was about 20 minutes later...they're building up but I just don't see them coming this way...sigh!
While I am sitting here doing this blog post the sun has set and I am watching a beautiful lightening show out my office window but with the heat of the sun gone for the day the clouds are dissipating and once again no rain for us...

~

Yesterday evening we went down to the property and watered the trees. I felt a bit lazy and put the camera on auto mode...It's been so long since I used auto I wanted to see what the photos would look like...

I found this Garden Orb Spider hanging from the well house...she was beautiful.

Then down by the creek I found this Brown spotted Yellow wing dragonfly...

On the way back to the house we spotted this Jack Rabbit. His eyes are a funny color as I had the camera on auto and the flash popped up...

We saw this doe in the brush on the edge of the driveway.

I found this scaly lizard on our front porch...He is awfully shy so I had a tough time getting a photo...I tried again tonight but no luck...He sees me and runs for cover.

Tonight while I was out taking photos of the thunderheads Ralph, our barn cat, joined me...He's looking pretty scruffy...Summer heat is getting to him too!

On my return to the yard look what I found on the gate latch...sigh! We have Grasshoppers all over...The chickens are doing a pretty good job of keeping them out of the yard.

In the evenings I turn the Chickens loose to browse...
Striped, Whitey, Bert (Rooster), Red and Marble

Plumbago taking over...There is a rose bush in there somewhere?

On Fathers day we replaced our backdoor, YEA!! So love having a window and a decent door...No more snakes in the house either, lol...Frankie (Fred's brother) came over yesterday and redid it (Fred is not a carpenter), lol...Now I need to paint the trim!

The door has magnetic blinds in the glass, which is really nifty!

My Bougainvillea is blooming

And we also have some Maize growing in the garden, lol...(from the winter bird feeder)
It was nice to get out and take some photos...it's still so HOT and we are stilling praying for rain...Fireworks have been banned in Goliad and Victoria counties so the 4th of July will be quiet here...I've entered Michael in a parade with his bike and I am sure he will find that exciting.
I still have wedding photos to edit and hopefully that will happen in the next few days...

Creativity

I should be editing and resizing photos but I didn't want too, lol...I wanted to play! I was actually going through my favorite digi scrap blogs and ended up at Ali Edwards blog...She had a Tuesday Tutorial by Katie Pertiet on Photo Mask...I thought I'd give it a go and above is what I came up with...Thank you Katie it was an excellant tutorial and something I have been trying to figure out how to do...
The paper is blending paper by Taylormade, Film mask is by Katie Pertiet, Creativity word art is by Jodie McNally, Date stamps are by Scarletheels.

YeeHAW!

Oh How I LOVE my BOYS when they are cleaned up!!!
This is my littlest one and when he gives me this smile I melt....Sigh!
Just as Daddy was walking out the door I asked for a photo!!
They gave me one, YEA!!
They actually gave me several goofy ones too, lol...
Delicious!

Roses and Wild Turkeys

We've been making records with the Heat here in our area...Temperatures have been running in the 100's (F.) for the past week or two and it's starting to effect everything...
My roses are crispy critters, ekk...
This morning I spotted Turkeys...I only had the Canon Powershot with me so excuse the Not so great photos...I did a double take with the Turkeys as there were babies, Sweet.

They aren't tiny babies but pretty good sized. It is so nice to see baby Turkeys...
I noticed they were panting from the heat too....

There were two grown female Turkeys and I saw 2 babies but there may have been more...The brush is a bit high and it was hard to see....We have at least two fawns running with the does but I still have not been able to get a photo of them...
We attended a wedding this weekend and I got some really nice photos of Michael and Fred before we left for the wedding...and I got some pretty good photos at the wedding too...So stay tuned...

She took a break from dancing to play with Grandpa Frankie!

She's such a Precious little one!

I am so glad Andy brought her over on Fathers day!
Thank you Andy :o)
I'm hoping he'll bring her more often as I sure had fun taking photos...It's nice when you have a little one that likes to have their photo taken...

Helen Sings....

Hallelujah!

My friend Helen has recently started singing at her Church in the Choir...But not sure if you would call it a Choir as it was more of a band and it was pretty sweet!

I couldn't make it a couple of weekends ago when she sang Solo but I came this Sunday with the Video camera and had fun making a short clip. I didn't talk to Helen and she didn't know I had been there until I sent her a text message, lol...The video is short too but I wanted to save my Memory card in case she did a solo...so Maybe next time it will be a longer clip Helen!! I am so PROUD of you...you were wonderful!! LA LA LA......LAAAaaaaaa

Great job Helen and I enjoyed the service....

A tad bit different then what I am used to but it was nice, thanks for the invite and maybe Fred and I will come visit soon!! He watched the video and thought you were great and said he would like to go check it out...YEA! Michael has watched and watched the video too and is very upset that he didn't go with me as he wants to see you sing too...

Hugs to you!!
