Entertaining......

Who can watch TV with so much entertainment around here...

I have been letting Lydia come inside for about an hour each night to play and get away from the swarming mosquito's. Kit has gotten over being mad and him and Lydia have been having a blast playing together.

Kit is declawed (all 4 feet) so Lydia can pretty much hold her own with him...She has sharp kitten teeth and all her claws....

We were all sitting here laughing at them...sheesh they were having so much fun, chasing, attacking and acting like kids!

And lets not forget Michael and his new "Army" issued gun (so he tells me), LMBO...He had enough money saved in his piggy bank to get a new gun. This one is camouflaged and has a holster...Ekk...He thinks he is really hot SH__!
Yes it's a BB gun but he knows No BB's in the house!
What a night we had!! At this moment all the entertainment has fallen fast asleep...Me time now :o)

Baby Rubin....

For being approx. 3 weeks old this little one sure acts older. He was happily content laying on his blanket watching the ceiling fan and talking up a storm. It was so cute and then I was astonished when he kept trying to roll over and almost making it each time, sheesh!!

This is one of my favorites, he is so darn cute and so darn happy!

Rubin with Mom and Dad!

Proud Dad and Rubin holding his head up!
I'm in Love and will definitely being going over there for more photos and hugs and cuddles!

Cayenne and her newborn foal...

Here are the photos of Cayenne and her newborn colt...

Michael was like Awww Mom he's so cute....Wish my son was around when I was raising horses he would have enjoyed it.

Legs....

Laughing at his tongue sticking out after nursing...mmm mmmm Good!

Cayenne did a Great job, he sure is adorable!

Road Trip Aransas Pass - Fulton area

Today I met up with a fellow photographer, John Wingo, in his home town for some coastal photography...Here's his website if you want to see his photos: http://johnspicaday.blogspot.com/
I wasn't able to get over there until about 8:45am and the light was already a bit harsh but we had fun and did our best to get some decent photos. It was so nice to spend time with John and discuss Camera equipment, Photography, etc...Thanks John for showing me some great photo sites!

This little gull was not camera shy and it made for some decent photos.

Isn't this butterfly gorgeous. It's a Great Southern White and John took some photos with his 500mm, I hope they turned out!

Washed up Crab shell...

Tern

Queen Butterfly.

A view of the coastal waters.

Coastal Morning glory or also known as Sharp Pod Morning glory...I took this photo because of the pollen covered Bee in the Tube area.

I spotted this Morning glory with a grass stem that had speared it's petal...too cool. Wish I had gotten a better photo but you get the idea!

Minnows, Minnows and More Minnows!

Laughing Gull...to me this is an A typical photo of a gull on a post, but I couldn't Not try it, lol.

Blue Heron...I was trying to get the Shrimp boat in the background...I think I succeeded...

Brown Pelican floating.

Same Blue Heron as above just a bit closer and a different view.

Pelican preening...

I wasn't able to stay long and on the way home I made a pit-stop in Bayside on a trail that goes along the bay...lol...I'm a country girl what can I say!

Taken in Bayside, not sure what it is...

and when I got home look what I found out in the pasture...A newborn calf...oh sooo sweet!
~
When Michael and I were headed home from school my nephew Andy called...He had a new baby colt, Yea! And since I hadn't see Andy and Rubina's new son, Rubin yet I thought it was time to go pay a visit. So stay tuned...as I will have photos of a gorgeous newborn colt and also 3 week old Ruben who thinks he can roll over, Yikes!!

Why did the turtle try to cross the road...

So Wendy would save him from being run over...grrr
It must be turtle breeding season or we are due for some really wet weather....Every time I turn around I am getting turtles out of the road.

Found this little one this morning in the road on the way back from School. A few weeks ago I think I saw his or her sibling and I did not get it and later that afternoon I saw it had not made it across the road, sigh! So this morning I stopped, put it in the back of the truck and brought it home.

Not positive but I think it is a Mud turtle...it's away from the roads and running free. I liked this one has he/she would come out of the shell for me where as the pond/box turtles don't...He/She was also hissing at me, which I thought was a wee bit funny, guess he doesn't like his photo taken!

South Texas sunset and silly boy....

Saturday evening I was outside watering the plants when I noticed the sunset, it was gorgeous. I should have left right then to take photos but nooo I finished watering, grr...By the time I got to the end of the driveway I was too late, sigh! Lesson learned when there is a photo op don't hesitate...do it NOW!!

Here's what I found when I got to the end of the driveway. Still pretty but not what I was wanting...I like to take sunset photos from the end of the driveway looking towards the neighbors pasture as there are no electric wires to interfere

I'm standing near the neighbors gate snapping away when I looked down and saw this itty bitty spider, lol...It wasn't itty bitty but a very Large Orb spider and was very busy collecting dinner, mosquito's!

A different spot and a different view...I'm so excited and I have been practicing my scenery photos...This summer we are taking a vacation and headed to Colorado and the Rocky Mountains, Yeehaw!!

Yes he's tired but that isn't why I took this photo!! I took it because his fathers genes run strong...Fred used to love to wear knee highs when he was a youngster and Michael is following in his footsteps! 90 degree weather doesn't seem to matter either. Michael dressed himself and when he came out with knee highs on Fred and I couldn't help but laugh...Like Father Like Son, egads!! I bought him the knee highs when we went to Michigan a couple of years ago to play in the snow and they've been sitting in his sock drawer since...Well he found them this morning and loves them! "Momma these are so cool!"

The Blue Ghost

~

May 14, 2010 Michael had the day off from school so we decided, since we have a membership to the U.S.S. Lexington (Blue Ghost), it was time for a road trip. Michael loves the “Blue Ghost” and is constantly telling me why the U.S.S. Lexington was given the name “The Blue Ghost”. The Japanese had thought they sunk or damaged her beyond repair several times. But the U.S.S. Lexington kept returning so the Japanese nicknamed the U.S.S. Lexington the “Blue Ghost.” I love the history on board and Michael loves the cockpits. This time I convinced Michael we needed to go check out the engine room. It was awesome! We were able to explore more of the ship and had quiet an adventure!
