Slideshow of Michaels Photos

I was able to go through Michael's photos tonight...He sure makes me laugh! I wish you could hear his commentary on his photos...He always tells me regarding the flower photos..."I took that one just for you Mom"...I don't get bouquets of flowers I get photos :o)....

He may not enjoy horses like I did and do but I think he likes photography which is just as sweet...You go Michael snap away!!

There is no doubt...

life with you is one amazing adventure after another.

I was playing around tonight...I get about 2-3 hours of peace and quiet when Michael goes to bed (YEA!)...and I decided to work with some of the digi items I have and haven't had a chance to play with...I still need to do the photos from our Hill Country vacation...I got these journals from Cottage arts (naturesketch elements, journals, photo masks) because they reminded me of my Mother and I also love to journal...well maybe not write in them but look at them, ha ha ha...I'm not sure I like this layout, it's kind of geeky but I think my Mother will love it? Do you like it Mom?
I've learned how to add my own handwriting from a tutorial, I love the personal touch...even though my handwriting could use some work....ekkk
The quote on the heart was from Ali Edwards and made me laugh when I saw it as Mom and Michael together are one HUGE adventure...ya just never know what you'll end up with!!
I also used some of Sue Cummings (Oscraps.com) items...frames, flowers, paper...
~
I haven't been in the mood for taking nature photos and I apologize...I know some of you looked forward to what I could find here in South Texas. The temp here at the house today was 108 F. and a might to hot for me, ugh! Michael has been running around the house (naked) with my powershot taking photos, LMBO...and I've seen them and not sure if I want to share them, ekk...He thinks he's the worlds GREATEST photographer...I just might do a slideshow of his photos so you can all have a good laugh and see what our house looks like to a 5 (almost 6) year old...Of course I would have to edit a few or just maybe delete them all together...like the ones he took of himself in the mirror, Egads!! (remember I said he's been naked)...lol...And maybe the close-up of his nose and eyeball (Eww)...It's hot out but I did manage to get him to stop taking (Lovely) photos of me and go outside and harass the chickens with the camera...So tomorrow if time allows I'll go through his photos and post a slideshow of the better ones...

Return to Splashway water Park

Michael and I had not been to Splashway Water Park since the summer of 2007 due to them discontinuing their buy 1 get 1 free on Tuesdays and the price of gas in 2008...But guess what? Splashway once again started the buy 1 get 1 free on Tuesdays and gas isn't $4 a gallon either...So it was high time we took a little trip to the waterpark, YEA!!

I am so glad we went...we got there at 10am when they opened and there was hardly anyone there!! I just love that...Then as we walked over to the kids section Michael and I were both in SHOCK....They added so much stuff and changed things around and it was FANTASTIC!! Michael was so excited...so excited in fact that I hardly saw him for 4 hours, lol...I did go rope him in a few times for more sunblock and food & drink...

On the way home he told me "This was a perfect day!"...Gotta love that when your child says something like that...I decided to do another layout using Sue Cummings "Perfect day" kit, what better use than to scrap your sons perfect day...He chose his favorite photos from the day for the layout...so I had some help!!
I had to zoom in on him to get a photo but he was having so much fun!!

I think the bucket dumping water was his favorite of the day...I even got him to (well sort of) pose for a photo, lol...

I also surprised Michael and bought season tickets...YEA!! When I told him that we had season tickets and could go every week he was so excited...Wanted to know if we could go back tomorrow....GULP!!

Picture Perfect...

I've had these two photos stuck in my head all day and then I get an email from Sue Cummings saying she is in the designer spotlight at O'scraps. If you visit her forum there you can pick up a free mini digi kit...when I saw the kit I thought oh cool this is perfect for the photos!!
So the above is my layout and I like it...simple but right to the point!!
Thanks Angie for taking the photo of me :o)
Sue is having a challenge this week using this kit or any of her designs...you could have a chance for gift certificates and who doesn't like that...So if you scrap go check it out...
And if that doesn't work go to O'scraps and click on Forums and then the Designer Spotlight.

Whew...What a long day Saturday!

We started the morning off at 3:15 am, ugh! But if you are in a fishing tournament ya gotta get up early and head out...It doesn't help when you don't go to bed until midnight, sigh...

Headed down Garsitas Creek...it was a beautiful morning! This is my favorite photo from the day...I just love it when the water is calm....

Gene and his wife Yvonne preparing to go fishing, YEA!!
Angie keeping an eye on her husband, lol...I just love snapping photos when she doesn't know it!!

Johnny and Angie playing in their boat...

Ahhh finally started fishing...Fred is in the Kayak for the very first time and Johnny is watching to see how long before Fred dumps it....he he he.

Yep that's me...I'm fishing but don't have a clue as to what I am doing, lol...Angie grabbed the camera and thought y'all needed to see some photos of me, Ekkk....

Yvonne and Gene moving to a different fishing spot...

Johnny trying out the Kayaks...We all tried them out except for Gene. No one flipped a Kayak into the water and we all had a really good time.

Me behind the point of land and Johnny catching trout...I was just getting my bait stripped!

Yvonne setting her line...

Fred looking like he knows what he is doing, lol....

Yvonne and Angie trying out the Kayaks...

Yvonne jumped right in and took off...she doesn't know how to swim but that didn't stop her...Of course in most places the water was only 3 to 4 ft deep too...

Angie going, going gone...I think Johnny and Angie will be getting Kayaks before to long...It sure was nice to get out into the flats to fish...
I think everyone caught something but no keepers...It didn't bother me a bit as I enjoyed spending time with friends and trying out the Kayaks...
We were pretty well exhausted by the time the fishing, tournament dinner and awards ceremony was over...Fred and I both crashed at 9pm and slept 12 straight hours, we needed it...Sunday we spent the day laying around the house taking it easy...more or less recuperating from our long day Saturday...We sure aren't used to getting up at 3:15am and staying up until 9pm, makes for a very long day!
Today (Monday) I wanted to go work out at the gym but Michael didn't, sigh! So we compromised...I told him if he helped me clean house we'd stay home...He did the dishes, picked up his toys and dusted...Oh so nice to have help :o) Tomorrow we are off to Splashway water park for some fun in the sun...Yikes!!
Hope y'all had a good weekend!
