We went to town to get doughnuts this morning and I thought why don't we go eat breakfast at the Goliad State park...it was so nice out, time to enjoy!
Michael had my binoculars and spotted this Golden-fronted woodpecker. A bit far for a decent photo but I was proud of Michael for spotting it first!
Squirrel Mom!! Squirrel...he gets so excited when he spots a Squirrel! Silly boy!
Come on Mom!! (another words stop taking photos and get over here!)
Uh Oh my boy has left me, ekk...
White-throated sparrow, winters here, summer in the Northern forests.
American Goldfinch, winter plumage.
Michael loves the exposed roots of the trees!!
Blue Blue skies...
Yellow-rumped Warbler, I see a lot of these at our property!
Northern Cardinal
Possibly a red-shouldered Hawk. It was in a tree on the other side of the river!
Couch's Kingbird...so pretty! That yellow really stood out!
Turkey Vulture...Goliad State Park has a lot of vultures!
Interesting...a very BIG yellow/green leaf...hmmm!!

Chickadee, dee, dee...Such a busy little bird!
A wildflower, I found a Wildflower...Not sure what it was but looked to be from the Mint Family. I am too lazy tonight to get the wildflower books out :)
Black Vulture!
My boy and his soda's, sigh!! So not healthy!!
Great Kiskadee...a tropical fly catcher also found in Bermuda. He was very loud!
Our walk is done, this boy is hot and ready to head home!!

Then we got back to the house and he wanted to do some target practicing with his bow...
He needs to work on his aim!
Loading up...
Draw...
Then I got distracted by the flock of geese flying over...They were loud!!
He's loving his bow.

This evening the clouds moved in just before sunset...They were so cool, the different colored blues caught my eye!
And at sunset the clouds split and you could see the soft colors of the setting sun in the clouds in the back...
We had a great Sunday and really enjoyed the weather, sunshine and warmth is so nice!!
