Dancing at the 50th Anniversary Celebration

I took this Video of Michael tonight.

We had a dinner for Fred's Parents, who are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and once again Michael was the life of the party.

He's back ~

Yes Sir or might that be Madam...

He's back...

My wonderful little MAN

with his point of view of the world in general...

I checked his camera tonight to see what photos he had taken...lets see 20 or 30 of the ride to town in Daddy's truck...a few of Daddy...a few of Momma....Toys....Other people....sorry folks nothing X-rated today...he's getting a bit better and he's learned that he can zoom in on things, Wow!! Check out that Tractor on the center counsol...Mighty fine Zooming there little MAN.

We also learned that he now knows how to take videos, Ekkk...Seems he had 3 videos of Fred and I talking, LOL...So now we really have to watch the little MAN...never know what he might catch on Video...Bathroom doors are now locked!! LOL...Fred is going to have to watch his oil-field language at home tooo...UH OH!!

Oh I forgot to tell you all how our little Man got that scab on his nose...LOL...

You know those Hot Wheels race tracks that you can hook up to the top of the door and they have an elevator that takes the car up...then it shoots down the track and flies through a fake flaming hoop...Well little MAN got the car stuck at the top of the track...I reached up to unstick it and just as I let the car go I turned around and somebody had their head stuck through the fake flaming hoop, OUCH...WHACK right on his nose...he knew he'd made a mistake but realized too late that he was stuck like a bug in a rug!! I know it wasn't funny and hurt but I couldn't help but laugh...I asked him if he was going to stick his head in that hoop again and he said "NO Ma'am"...I think he learned a lesson the painful way....BOYS!! They always have to learn the hard way!!

Christmas Digital Layout

I was bored today, so I added my new memory card to my computer and did a digital (digi) layout. It's nothing fancy, just plain and simple. I did some adjustment to the photo in Adobe and then didn't like what I had done so I used the original photo, lol...I was hoping with 4 GB of memory my computer might run the digi program a bit faster but it's working the same as with 3 GB...ah well it works better than with just 2 GB...

I'm off to a new dentist to take them my insurance card and then I have to wait until January 2nd to see what he can do about the crown that another dentist put in a year ago that is still bothering me after 3 root canals, ugh!! There is an old saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it"!!

Playing with Adobe and Pet eyes

Okay I had a bit of a break tonight and was able to search on the internet on how to fix pet eye in Adobe, Wow!! I have always had and used Paint Shop Pro to do my photos and it has a pet eye fix on it. But it always made the pets eye look fake and unreal...But with adobe you have to play around a bit to fix it but it looks sooo much more realistic...All the animals are really bad with pet eye and the flash and tonight I worked on a photo I had taken of Jake. I was stunned at how well it came out....It looks sooo sweet!! I think I just might like Adobe photoshop, LOL...You know it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks but I try to remain open to change!! Now to try photos with the Cat and his pet eye, UGH!!

A slideshow of Michaels Christmas Photos ~ UGH!

Thank you Aunt Karen!!

Santa made a stop at our House!!

Michael with the Camera Santa brought him, Wow!!
He has taken lots of photos of butts and boobs this morning, LOL...They've been deleted!! I'll post a blog later with some of his decent photos, LOL...

Fred checking out his stocking stuffers with help from Jake!!

Santa brought Michael lots of "Hot Wheels" racing tracks!

Aunt Karen got Michael a Leap Frog Click Start, too SWEET!!

Michael had a blast this morning and loves all his Santa items and his other gifts too!!

First thing he did was to check to make sure Santa ate the cookies and drank the juice we left out for him..."Momma Santa ate the cookies and drank ALL the juice" "YEA"!

Then because of the heavy frost on the ground he said "See I told you it would snow!", LOL...poor kid thinks frost is snow. Wait until he sees the real white stuff!! He was actually worried Santa wouldn't be able to make it as we had no snow on the ground. I told him Santa had special reindeer and a special sleigh for when there was No snow!!

My husband was good to me this year, bless his heart!

I received Adobe Photoshop Element 6 and Premiere Elements 4, another memory card (for the computer and not my brain, lol) and some of my favorite perfume (Realities)...

We had a great Christmas and I need to head out to work on the easement for the electric on the property, Fred has been down there for sometime, Ekkk....

I hope y'all had a very Merry Christmas and I'm wishing everyone God's blessings on this special day!!

Christmas with the Inlaws

Today was Christmas with Fred's Family. Instead of the usual Turkey/Ham dinner we had a shrimp boil. I was actually Leary of it when they said what we were having for dinner but it was really good!! We all had a great day. It was a bit chilly but we just dressed warm.
Me, Michael and Fred.
My brother in law took this photo for us.

Michael with Jayden.

I so wanted to take Jayden home with us. Her and Michael got along so well and Jayden was so sweet and gentle. She was a friend of a family member and this is the first time we had met her. She just came in and climbed on my lap, I didn't have a clue as to who she was but fell in love with her. I introduced myself and asked her what her name was and who she belonged too, LOL...It was then suggested that Fred and I try for a little girl!! NOT!! I would prefer to adopt Jayden, LOL...She was an angel in disguise!

I actually took this photo the night before when Michael was filling up his pinata that Grammie had sent him for his birthday!

LOL...I love this photo...

Hard to believe my son is dressed like this and we are living in South Texas but it was a bit chilly today.

This is my sister in law, Debbie.

I loved this photo as the natural light was perfect!! Such a beautiful photo of her and had to show it off....Once in awhile I do get a decent shot of a human being, LOL.

This is Debbie's Husband Frankie, Freds brother. I am not sure exactly what or who he was trying to be today...Dallas Cowboy Santa? Beer commercial? Or a firefighter? LOL...He has a beautiful smile but hates the camera, can you tell....grrrrrr

My Father in Law has quiet a few Hay round bales stacked and the kids had a blast playing on them. Thank goodness no snakes were found and no one fell off either...I even got them to stop running, jumping and playing for a few photos!!

We almost forgot about the pinata and thank goodness some of the kids were still around when we remembered...Michael taking a good whack at it but Zeke was the one who broke it open!!

That was pretty much our day in a nutshell....Lots of family, friends, fun, food, and loads of laughter!!

~Merry Christmas~

Christmas Storytime with Kaden

Today was Storytime at the library. Michael got to see his friend Kaden too and they celebrated by opening the gifts they had picked out for each other. I just love these two together as their faces are just lit up with joy and friendship.
Michael watching Kaden open his gifts.

Hmm do you need some help?

Wow is there anything else!!

We took the boys to McD's afterwards as a Christmas treat. I'm not a big fan of McD's but today was the boys Christmas so what the hay!! They played for 1.5 hours and had a blast!!

~ Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas ~

Frosty gets caught....

Oh Boy!!

"Momma, Come come take my picture"..."Why?" says Momma..."MOMMA get your camera"...."Why?" says Momma..."I want my PICTURE taken"...Ugh as Momma gets up to see what little Mr. MAN is doing now....Oh Boy!! "Michael why do you have the luggage out?"..."We are going to Grammies!"...."Yes" says Momma...."I want my photo taken with the suitcases!"..."We are not leaving for 16 days Michael!"...."OH MAN!!"..."I want to go NOW!"...
Ekkk it is going to be a LONG wait I can see this now...LOL

Michael with the luggage and ready to gooooooo........NOW!
You know its funny how my son can smile and take an excellent photo when he wants too!!
On another Note: Jake had is surgery yesterday. They had to go way up inside to find the one retained testicle and then while they were doing that they found he had a umbilical hernia so they fixed that...He is one very sore Pup...He was in his cage all night until he peed in it...ugh!! I can't bath him until the stitches come out in two weeks, grrr....So as carefully as I could I put him in the bath tub and washed his legs and tail down as best as I could. He really stunk and I am not going to live with a stinky dog for 2 weeks...He smells a bit better but doesn't feel better, LOL...I've had to carry him outside as he doesn't even want to walk, it just hurts to much. He is on pain meds but they don't seem to be doing much...I'm watching and waiting...hopefully he'll be better in a couple of more days...Once this heals he is done with any kind of tests, treatments, or surgerys...Just his once a year check-up and vaccinations....

Sundays News

Today started with Breakfast!!

Michael insisted on making the pancakes this morning and had to wear the apron Grammie made for him...Helen does this remind you of anything? LOL

Jake graduated from Basic Obedience class today!!

Jake did absolutely wonderful and we are so proud of him. But it was actually training for Michael and I too and we learned a lot.

Now for a bit of EXCITEMENT!!

I booked tickets today for Michael and I to fly up to Michigan just after the first of the year. Grammie lives there and Michael has been bugging and bugging me that he wants to go play in the snow...ugh!! NOT something I want to do as I had 34 yrs of that crap, which is enough for a lifetime. But Fred and I thought it was time for Michael to go and find out just how cold the snow is, LOL....We are hoping that he will play for awhile, get cold and have enough...that is for at least a few years until he forgets and we have to try it again...Ekkkk....I can't wait for him to fly on the plane. He hasn't flown since he was a little over a year and doesn't remember it so he's going to be really excited about that too!!

Ornaments on the Tree

My Dear Friend Helen has asked me to take some photos of the ornaments on our tree. After seeing the photos on Krissy's blog of her tree and ornaments mine suck!! I just haven't had good luck and guess I really don't want to play with the settings on my camera...But here are a few, and if you go to this site you can see some more photos; http://www.flickr.com/photos/10418594@N08/sets/72157603458213782

Gas/Fuel prices ramblings...

I was talking through email to my dear friend Helen in Australia last night. I asked her what they were paying for fuel/gas just out of curiosity. She told me $1.30 per litre. Now at first you think WOW that sounds good but then I did the math...
If they bought a gallon instead of a litre they would be paying $5.91 for gas/fuel. I figured out what they would be paying for a litre if their gal. of gas/fuel was $2.85 like ours....$2.85 U.S. = $3.23 in Australian dollars...then divide 3.23 by 4.55 (that is how many litres are in a gallon, rounded off). They would be paying .71 for a litre of gas/fuel...
So the next time you complain about $2.85 a gallon for gas/fuel think of Helen in Australia...
If someone wants to check my figures go for it...because this may be wrong. Below is the website I used for conversions.
I won't say a word about how much we pay for gas/fuel as compared to Australia as it's pretty cheap....But I will conserve and continue to sit home, LOL...Thank goodness I don't live in Aussie land as I would not be driving a truck!!
My sympathies are with you Helen, I honestly don't know how you do it and now know why you also stay home most of the time.

We just received and email Christmas Card from Denise at Northern Classic Collies.
This is Mason, Jakes Dad, isn't he beautiful!!
Thank you Denise and Happy Colliedays to you too!!

Christmas Tree

Our Tree is up!!
Fred took Michael Christmas shopping tonight so I was able to put the tree up with no disruptions. I moved my recliner chair out of the way and put the tree there, LOL...better my chair then Fred's.
Tree is up!!

Decorated (with lights on)

Decorated (lights off)

I know this photo is blurry but I liked it. Wish I would have had the tripod set up.

Jake being the photogentic dog!!

Christmas Kisses!

Jake and Michael. (My favorite photo of the night!)

Michael standing at Attention. He didn't want his photo taken, can you tell?

Ho Ho Ho Jakey!!

I know this photo is a bit dark but I liked it. Jake is such a good photo subject.

Well I can breath a sigh of relief. The tree is up and my son told me "It's a beautiful tree Momma, I love Christmas!" Now if we can just keep KitCat from tearing the ornaments off!!

Corpus Christi at Christmas time

We went to Corpus Christi last Saturday. Warm and overcast day so the outside photos are a bit dark and dreary...

Once again trying for photos of the Carousel at the Padre Staples mall ( I think), there are two malls in Corpus. Krissy they took your feather dusters off the horses, LOL.

Christmas tree over where Santa's chair was at near the Carousel.

Michael riding the Carousel.
I was more or less trying to play with my camera. I really hate using the flash as it washes everything out....so some photos are dark and others way too bright. I also got a bit dizzy while on the carousel with Michael, LOL. Fred said he got dizzy just watching us....

This years theme was "The Polar Express". They had this train set up near Santa.
We couldn't get Michael to go near Santa. He wanted nothing to do with him. I tried for a photo of just Santa but it was pretty dark and I was to far away. They make it so you can't even see or get near Santa if you don't pay...grrrr....He was a cute Santa though and looked like he had a real beard too and even a red suit, YEA! He was waving at the kids and seemed like a jolly old fella!! At least he wasn't wearing flannel pj's like our Santa at the Victoria Mall does, LOL.

Michael and Fred in one of the stores shopping, oggling and playing!! Michael found a dragon puzzle, cool Mamma!! And then they found a pin-ball game, Oh BOY!!

Michael with dark circles under his eyes checking out the beds, LOL...Nap time perhaps?
Okay instead of "Where's Waldo?" We have Where's Michael? We played a lot of where's Michael that day, ugh!!

Update on Jake.

We’ve just spent the afternoon at the Vets. They did blood work on Jake and everything is Normal. YES!!

She did a QBC, Comprehensive Panel, and a heart worm check (it was in the one group) and Jake is fine. His blood count is up where it should be. She checked him for Lyme disease and all the other known tick diseases and nothing. She also did a urinalysis and that was normal too, kidneys were fine. I lost a horse to kidney failure and I never want to go through that again, it was terrible.

She said because he is a puppy and puppies need to build up their blood count, that may have been why it was low. Or it possibly could have been stress from flying down here, being in a new environment (hot/muggy)….But he’s fine. I breathed a sigh of relief, LOL….I am so thankful, I’ve been praying that Jake would be okay.

He is going to get neutered next Monday. Not a moment to soon if you ask me, he is starting to notice female dogs, LOL….

We graduate from our intermediate class in Obedience in two weeks. Jake is doing great, he is such a smart dog. There was a Client in the vet office that fell in love with Jake. He is so laid back and everyone who meets him falls in love. I was laughing at him as he just lay down in the front waiting area and just stretched out and made himself at home. Everyone was laying on the floor petting and loving him and of course Jake was grunting and groaning, soaking it all up!!

A quicky on Fall colors in South Texas

For you with perverted minds this is a quicky blog not anything else (lol) as I have 1 minute to stop everything and get ready to go....Yes we down here in South Texas do have fall colors, LOL...Now they aren't as gorgeous or beautiful as in the NE of the U.S.A. but still they're colorful, LOL....
Majestic Oak tree in gold and yellow

beautiful baby oak tree full of reds....

So you see we have our golds and reds too!! The past week was what I would call our prime tree color...the leaves are falling and the weather is changing.

Now off to take Jake to the vet...yes folks more blood work and tests. Seems Jake is just not up to par yet....more later.
