Dear Michael,

i Miró.

Besos,

Dear Zurab,

The monumental concrete arches nicknamed "Andropov's Ears" were built to honor an oficial visit of Yuri Andropov, the general secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and former chairman of the KGB.
The monument was demolished in 2005 after Georgia's
independence from the Soviet Union occurred in 1991.

Sincerely,
R

Dear Ríkarður,

Icelandic sculptor Ásmundur Sveinsson designed and
constructed his house and studio from 1942 to 1959
inspired by the vernacular domed buildings typically seen
in the Mediterranean and Middle East cultures. In 1983
an addition to the building was built to serve as the
Ásmundur Sveinsson Sculpture Museum. The picture
shows a crescent-shaped building that housed the
original scupltor's studio.

Greetings,
R

Estimado Vito,

Afectuosamente.

Dear Ridley,

"I hate vacations. If you can build buildings,
why sit on the beach?

to create a sense of order, a sense of place, a sense of

Dear Isabel,

"Carefully calculated dimensions, a correct articulation
and the right proportion of openness and seclusion are
the starting point for the shift in attention to the habitable
space between things" (Herman Hertzberger)

Dear Joel,

Stopped by to visit this well-known edifice when coming
back from England. This building was designed by
Norman Foster and completed in 1983. The building is
made up of 42 modules, 24 meters square in plan each.
Much flexibility and a powerful symbolic image are
achieved by means of these structural modules. This
module metaphoric potential is also evident when adding
the deciduous tree into the overall composition.

Best.
R
