Querida Cristina,

La casa de los maestros de la Bauhaus Wassily 

Kandisky y Paul Klee fueron restauradas con rigor 

por la Fundación Wüstenrot en 2019 y podrán 

visitarse para experimentar el espacio en donde 

vivieron estos dos grandes artistas con sus familias 

en los años veinte del siglo pasado.

Querida Inés,

Espero que estés bien. Aquí te mando una postal muy 

antigua del Círculo de Bellas Artes, que fue enviada el 

mismo año que el edificio se inauguró. El arquitecto, 

Antonio Palacios, fue también el de edificios tan conocidos como el Palacio de Comunicaciones, el Hospital de Jornaleros de Maudes o el  de la sede del Instituto Cervantes. Su obra ecléctica tiene influencias 

de la arquitectura de Otto Wagner y de la Escuela de Chicago.

Esta es una buena foto de la Sala de Conciertos de Estocolmo en donde nos hicimos una foto juntos delante de la fuente de bronce llamada el Pozo de Orfeo.

Concert Hall is the best and more recognized example of
the "Swedish Grace". This is also the placed where the awarding ceremonies for the Nobel Prize are held annually.

An old postcard featuring the Moscow City Electric Power
Station with the large chimneys in the background.
The back facade with those chimneys is one of the most
celebrated russian constructivist structures.

Querido abuelo,

Encontré una deliciosa postal en perfecto estado
que muestra la pequeña sinagoga dedicada a los Tres
Patriarcas construida por Erich Mendelsohn en Sovetsk
(antigua Tilsit) en el Oblast de Kaliningrado cuando ésta
ciudad formaba parte de Prusia.
El marcado sentido del dinamismo y del ritmo que
Mendelsohn poseía es evidente a pesar de lo reducido
del tamaño del edificio.

596. Kaufhaus Schocken Nurnberg

Querido abuelo Joaquin,

Este edificio de la Schocken en Nurnberg es junto a los
almacenes en Stuttgart y Chemnitz un hito incuestionable
de la arquitectura moderna. Desgraciadamente éste
edificio fue destruido al igual que el de Stuttgart y no
queda nada de él.
