1302. Hotel Žiča. Mataruška Banja, Serbia
Dear Roberto,
I enjoyed your movie and the hotel as well. Watching it at the open-air cinema located on the roof terrace of this functionalist little gem was an unforgettable experience.
Thank you,
R
1275. Primary School in Jagodina, Serbia
Dear Nikola,
In Jagodina (former Svetozarevo) there is an old school, built in 1940 by Serbian architect Milan Zloković. This building shows exceptional clarity in its structural and functional systems as well as an undeniable harmony in the proportions and rhythm of fenestrations.
The building has been often compared with Terragni's Casa del Fascio in Como, but Zloković said that he used this building solely as a source of inspiration in the design process.
Sincerely,
R
627. Commerce Hall in Skopje
Dear Ljiljana,
The graceful Commerce Hall in Skopje, seen on the right
side of this old picture postcard, is one of the most
innovative works of local architectural modernism. This
outstanding building has clear influences from both, the
Terragni's Novocomun (1928), and the Golosov's
Workers Club (1927).
Respectfully,
R
