Martin Henderson - sigh!

I was going to tell you the whole spiel about this new ABC drama but after watching Martin Henderson in this sneak peak I have no words.



I will tell you that this is the show that has just signed Rachelle Lefevre (Twilight's Victoria) and also stars Mamie Gummer, Meryl Streep's daughter.

Glee is going smaller in season two.

 “I felt instead of going bigger and over-stuffing it in season two, let’s go under it,” said co-creator Ryan Murphy. “We’re scaling it back and concentrating on the stories.” Supporting characters like Brittany, Santana, Tina, and Mike Chang will get more play and each episode will only contain four or five musical numbers. That said, Murphy isn’t doing away with the big-budget tribute episodes. Among the splashy installments planned: A Britney Spears-themed hour, a post Super Bowl episode (Murphy is in talks with a number of artists), an episode featuring all-original music, and a Christmas ep that will hopefully guest star Susan Boyle.

In what is possibly the best bit of casting EVER, comedy legend Carol Burnett has been cast as the fabulous Sue Sylvester's nazi-hunting mother on GLEE.  How fun is that!

Matching Jack - August 19

August 19 sees the release of Nadia Tass’ first feature film in more than 12 years - Matching Jack. Starring Jacinda Barrett, Richard Roxburgh and James Nesbitt. Matching Jack tells the story of an inner-urban Melbourne family whose life is turned upside down when their young son Jack is diagnosed with leukemia, and his father’s years of infidelity come to light. As the illness takes hold, a desperate mother searches for possible siblings from her husband’s affairs – children who may hold the key to curing her son.

Holy crap!  Take tissues obviously.

This could be fun...

THE ROMANTICS is the story of seven college friends who reunite six years later for a wedding of Lila (Paquin) and Tom (Duhamel). Things go awry when the maid of honor and the bride clash over the groom, with whom the maid of honor was once romantically involved. The flick also stars: Adam Brody, Malin Akerman, Dianna Agron, Elijah Wood, Jeremy Strong, and Candice Bergen. Have heard really good things about Katie Holmes in this, and of course there's Josh and the delightful Adam Brody, what's not to like?

It premiered at Sundance way back in February, I may have even posted stuff awhile ago (if that's the case then sorry if I am boring you with this post) and is supposedly releasing in the US in Sept, but do you think I can find a trailer anywhere. It appears to have been removed from all sites where it was originally posted. Intriguing. Here's a kind of promo clip . Sorry folks best I could do. I still think it looks cute. will keep you posted.

Ben and Jon

Ben Harper has covered this a few times now, check out this version with Jon Farriss onstage at 'Splendour in the Grass' on the weekend. 'Never Tear Us Apart' sung by Ben will be on the new INXS abum of covers of their own songs, reworked and sung by people like Ben!

This song is an absolute favourite. It brings back many memories of boys, young love and break ups, and of course of the sex god Michael Hutchence pouring it out onstage.......sigh........

One Day

We've talked about the casting and passed around the book, now, here are the first pics from the set of ONE DAY starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess. I'm thinking, from the pics they are filming chronologically. The book starts in 1988, and Anne's outfit is hopefully of that era. (pretty sure I had that jacket and a pair of docs that look very similar to those ones!)
