Well we talked about this almost a year ago (see here) and now we have a trailer....unfortunately for Cool Rider probably not enough Sophia Bush. The one thing that I am most nervous about, is that I might actually like Ed Westwick after watching this flick!!!! He is so much more appealing with the english accent! Help!

For fans of chest hair, go crazy....

CHALET GIRL (2010)

"Billed as a romantic comedy, the story details the story of a young girl from a working class suburb who lands a job in an ultra-glam ski resort, where she's totally out of her depth until she discovers her natural snowboarding genius -- and the boss's gorgeous son."


Sound good?  Sound like the perfect chick flick?  Dodgey but ultimately fabulous?  You're damn right it does.  I am certain this will be a Star's Hollow Movie Night film because not only does it star....... the divine Sophia Bush, but Mr Ed Westwick is the love interest!  Unfortunately Sophia is not the main character but it's better than nothing.  The cast is rounded out by Bill Nighy and Brooke Shields.
 

 
Chalet Girl based on the 2007 novel The Chalet Girl: Falling In Love Can Be a Slippery Slope, the first book in the Little Black Dress romance series by author Kate Lace.   Best I head to the bookshop!

J's fascination and crushing on the Bass has been in decline since she clapped eyes on Gerard in PS, however GOSSIP GIRL starts up in the states tonight, so downloads are imminent and the crushing may begin again!

Young Hollywood Awards

Earlier this month the Young Hollywood Awards were held so I thought I'd mention a couple of the winners. These awards are apparently considered the young version of the Oscars and therefore carry quite a lot of weight.
First up is Ed Westwick, our fav' Gossip Girl bad boy. He won Young Hollywood Breakthrough Male.

Rumer Willis won for Young Hollywood Breakthrough Female

Evan Rachel Wood won Young Hollywood Superstar

But the one that had me totally stumped was Annalynne McCord (90210) who won the Young Hollywood Award for Superstar Of Tomorrow!!!!

Obviously I am missing something here as I had her pegged as possibly the worst actress of the year. Best I give her another viewing and see if I can work out why she won this award!

Previous winners of this category include... Jessica Alba, Shia Labeouf, Rachael McAdams, Josh Duhamel. Anna in this category?? I'm not convinced. Your thoughts please.

Chuck Bass Does Bronte

Gossip Girl bad boy Ed Westwick, aka Chuck Bass, has been cast as the dark hero Heathcliff in the film adaptation of Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights. How perfect is that! I haven't come across casting that appropriate for ages. Basically it won't be much of a stretch as Chuck Bass is a modern day Heathcliffe anyway. Natalie Portman was cast as Cathy but unfortunately has since dropped out. Abbie Cornish was up next but also dropped out - Cathy will now be played by Gemma Arterton who played the title role in Tess of the D'Urbervilles and was Strawberry Fields in Quantum of Solace. For those who watched 'Lost In Austin', you may recognise Gemma and she was also in 'The Boat That Rocked'!! Definitely someone to keep an eye on me thinks.

I have much higher hopes for this than Ed's housemates choice - 'Footloose'.

I love the show, read the blogs, but I'm just not getting the 'Chuck' thing. Is there anyone out there loving Ed?? If so, help me understand. I get the 'shame crushes' (the crushes you have when you're not having a crush, or more truthfully the crushes you would rather not admit you are having) I have had many! In fact, very soon I will do a shame crush/ugly boy crush top ten! But Ed, just finding him kinda creepy!
