Parenthood News

In a fabulous piece of casting the divine John Corbett will be taking on a recurring role in Parenthood in the second half of season 2.
John will be playing Seth, Sarah's estranged ex-husband and the father of Amber and Drew!!
Seth will turn up in town to perform a few gigs with his band.
This character has not appeared since the pilot, where he was portrayed by Darin Heames.

It had been great having John back on TV in United States Of Tara and now we get even more of him which is ace!

Bad Hair

I adore PARENTHOOD and have watched season 1 through twice already but there is one thing that really annoys me about the show and almost spoils it for me and that is Haddie's hair!!

I can't stand it - It looks like a wig - I want to crawl through the television and fix it for her.
Imagine my horror when I saw this pic tonight....

You have got to be kidding!!!!

she's dating her brother, and I like it......

Fifteen years ago, Lauren Graham and Peter Krause bonded over board games when the actress first moved to Los Angeles.

Today, Graham 43, and her Parenthood co-star, 45, are diving into something a bit more serious: a relationship.

"One of the things that's been so fun is that it's so easy," Graham says in the October issue of Redbook magazine, which goes on sale Sept. 21. "It's a lot, to work with somebody and spend time with them, too."

Graham, who says she and Krause "clearly had a connection" when they first met, blames timing and shyness for originally keeping them apart.

"I think we liked each other [but] he asked me over to his house to play a board game – and that's exactly what we ended up doing," she says. "So I was like, 'This guy doesn’t like me. Who actually plays a board game?'… The timing wasn't right. I don’t think either of us was ready."

She adds: "He's obviously a very confident, appealing guy, but he's shy, and so am I."

Unlike many Hollywood couples, Graham and Krause have managed to keep their relationship out of the spotlight.

"Nobody knew about it for awhile, because we like to be at home, cooking and not going out," the former Gilmore Girls actress explains. "I've also been really protective of it, because it's important that you can buy us as brother and sister on the show."

Although there is no predicting where Graham's relationship with Krause will lead, she does say she would like to settle down someday.

"I would like to be part of a family, however that looks," she says. "Family is really important to me." Thanks People magazine

PARENTHOOD - Warning - Season 2 Spoilers

Here's the dirt on the new season -

Adam, Sarah, and Gordon: Adam will be getting some new co-workers, as well as an expanded workplace set, next season. One of those new employees? His own sister, Sarah! “I’m sure she’s going to make a lot of mistakes and annoy her brother,” said Lauren Graham. Further complicating matters will be Adam’s boss, Gordon (the newly cast Billy Baldwin), who will begin to date Sarah. Graham described Baldwin’s character as an “appealing yet dangerous” playboy with a heart.

Sarah and Amber: As previously reported, Amber will be getting a new, upper-crust BFF, which brings out Sarah’s jealous side. “We’re doing a story line where Amber’s always at her friend’s house and Sarah’s trying to figure out a really cool thing to take the kids to,” Katims teased. But this new friend won’t be as perfect as she sounds. “There’s the question of whether this girl might wind up having some stuff going on that starts to challenge the friendship.”

Julia and Joel: A second child? They’ll consider it!

Crosby, Jasmine, and Jabbar: “What we want to explore in the second season is the challenges of a long-distance relationship,” Katims said of the trio. “Is it going to work out for this family?”

Haddie, Amber, and Steve: Steve won’t be back with Amber when the show returns. Haddie, meanwhile, will get a new love interest from the other side of the tracks.

Zeke and Camille: The heads of the Braverman clan will be working on saving their marriage, which starts comedically in marriage counseling.

The ex factor: There are no plans to bring back Sarah’s ex-boyfriends Jason Ritter and Mike O’Malley, who are busy with The Event and Glee, respectively, but the door remains open to them.

For Lesley....

Ahh, the wonderful Dax! What to watch??

Well, seriously, straight to no. 1 with a bullet is PARENTHOOD , which I know you are all over. He is great in this!

My fave Dax movie prior to this was ZATHURA. Technically, probably a kid's film, but it is directed by Jon Favreau ( a legend actor and director - I first saw him in SWINGERS and he has been working his magic in Hoollywodd ever since) ZATHURA also stars Tim Robbins and a sulking Kristen Stewart, pre TWILIGHT. A fun film , and Dax is pretty cute!

The other thing I used to watch Dax in was PUNK'D, when it was new and cool and fun. He was basically Ashton's minion. Ashton would tell him via ear piece what he wanted him to do, which led to some extremely amusing moments. Here is part of the clip where he punks Justin Timberlake. He made him cry!!!

Can't wait to see more of Dax in the wonderful PARENTHOOD

Parenthood

It's been a long time coming but finally we have Lauren Graham back on our TV screens. I watched the pilot episode of Parenthood tonight and it was such a delight to see Lauren again. The show is kind of along the lines of 'Brothers & Sisters' but it will be interesting to see where it goes from here. It is much more focused on the parenthood issues and the kids problems, or more importantly the parent's problems with the kids, than B&S. And of course it has Lauren which is such a massive bonus.

Apart from Ms Graham the standout character for me was the house itself. If you watch it keep your eye out for the first family dinner which takes place outside amongst dozens of strings of fairy lights. I was sold from that point on.

I will definitely be tuning in again and I suggest you give it a go.
