Art Every Day for a Month Handmade Book

I was beading today, on a WIP art picture, sorry no pictures.
But I was thinking !!!!... a while ago I made a book called 'Art everyday for a Month'.
I had completely forgotten about it, but it would have been perfect for the Art every day Month challenge.
The covers were made from pieces of plastic stuff that is a little transparent, don't know what it is called but it is used to make a template for a granite worktop. The edges were covered with washi tape and I used a zutter binder to bind the pages and covers together.

The first page was for the title and name of artist and another 31 pages, one for each day of the month. I cut out words that I found in magazines that I thought may inspire - the list is shown below.

Flights of Fancy

I've entered another Spoonflower competition.
This one is palette restricted - you can only use four specified colours and the winning design goes on the front of a Mollie Makes issue.
If you would like to vote for it and also see all the other entries, go to the Spoonflower site and look for this weeks contest called Flights of Fancy.
{sorry can't do a direct link to the competition, it just recognizes my computer and would not work on yours}

Red Rose

Silly me, I forgot to mention that I joined the 'Creative every day 2012' the other day. Click on the link to see who else has joined in.

I made this digital creation for the Collage Obsession challenge - Red
I started with a lovely rose image from the Graphics Fairy shown below.
I had planned to design a repeating pattern for fabric with it but the rose wasn't quite right close up [for fabric] so I altered the picture. I moved some of the leafy bits and put on one of my own rose photos which I'd altered.
I removed the background and replaced it with one I had created, I used the backs of some vintage photos - there was a shopping list on one of them! The leaves and buds were the only part that was left of the original image, but the picture gave me inspiration.

This is one repeat of the fabric/wallpaper/gift wrap.
I will be adding it to my Spoonflower collection soon.

Plain background fabric, found image [advert on tracing paper] with artwork stitched underneath, woman made from paper, applique, skirt is a recycled painted/stamped wipe, earrings were part of some jewellery.
The earrings are hanging to the right in the top picture because the book is fat, so I did another photo from another angle. Guess i should have taken pictures of each page before joining together.
