Altered Book

I couldn't sleep one night so I thought I would mess about in an altered book, a Pissarro art book.

I used some old letraset for the apple

Then I painted it with watercolour

I used bits of old greetings cards

Altered Book

I've altered a few more pages in my Pissarro art book. Some of my art added to the pages was from a book that I did Doodlewash sketches in, the book fell apart so I thought I would select some images to alter more pages in this book.

I could see a landscape in this gelliprint so I outlined some parts with pen.

Quiet Book WIP

The last page I'm doing for the quiet book.
You can push the ducks and beads along the string.

Digital Art
I used the Corel Painter App on my android tablet

Altered Book
I did these pages during one night when I couldn't sleep, not my best work.
The landscapes on the background pages are by Pissarro

Fabrics and Altered Book

I ordered some new swatches of my designs from Spoonflower while the special offer was on.

I don't know where my brain was on the day I ordered but I ordered the mice design twice [one should have been pigs] and also I ordered a fat quarter instead of a swatch. Doh!

Anyway here they are

Dog in Acrylics and Sketchbook Revival

Acrylic Painting - Dog

I did this by watching an Angela Anderson video on UTube. I didn't like it when I had first done it but it's grown on me.

Sketchbook Revival

Day 4, session 2: Concertina Fun: Make a fun mini concertina book with Karen Stamper

Day 6, session 2 with Helen Wells. Expressive Sketchbooks: Seeking inspiration outside.
I used small sticks and the end of a feather to draw these with  ink. I used photographs of interesting trees for inspiration. I think this has been my favourite session so far.

I used two of the stick drawings to make a pocket in an altered book.
The pocket holds an altered postcard.
Day 5, session 1. Robyn McClendon - Altered Book as a sketchbook.

Day 7, session 1 with David Drazil
Drawing Perspective Made Easy
This one is 5 point perspective

Day 7, session 2 with Trupti Karjinni
Watercolour Summer Landscape

Day 8, session 1 - Shelley Klammer
The History and Practice of Automatic Drawing

I think you can still join in with these sessions if anyone is interested.

Happy Paint Party Friday!

Doodlewash, Sketchbook Revival, and Collages

Sketchbook Revival
These were done in an altered book

Doodlewash

Chocolates

Farm

This is a little book handcrafted [not by me] from the leaves of the waru tree and bound with cinnamon.
I decided that it wouldn't be great for painting in so I have used it for collage.
I've used my gelli prints, ink jet prints, painted and stamped papers.

Happy Paint Party Friday
