Small Animal Paintings

I've done nothing new this week as I've been away in Rhodes so I'm posting these paintings from my little 4 inch square sketchbook

I've just got back in time for Paint Party Friday

Cat, Doodle, Llamas and Alpacas

 The cat was drawn on a tablet and cut on a digital cutting machine using some recycled card to see what it came out like. The white areas around the whiskers are not quite right.

I've been drawing animals found in the book '20 Ways to Draw a Cat and 44 other awesome animals' by Julia Kuo as drawing practice and I think the animals in it are delightful.

Richard the Bird and Cat and Rabbit Cuts

First I have a digital postcard to show you. The writing on the left is a quote from Richard 11 [1595] and was written in an old lined book [by me]. The writing on the right was on the original postcard but I removed what was on the left hand side. The stamp and postmark were added as well as the birds which were from the Naturalist Library.

 Two more animals I designed and cut on my KNK Zing Air cutting machine. They were just test cuts so I reused some old card [subject dividers originally]

I've remembered that is Friday and will join in Paint Party Friday where you can see more arts and crafts or join in.

Altered photographs. I drew the cats on my tablet and combined them with my photos.

No I've not got a collection of skulls, these three are at the Harry Potter studio, London

 Two of them are getting around, they are now in Berlin.

I saw a cute stuffed cat on Pinterest so I drew my version of it on my tablet.

Cat on a Stool Applique

I was originally going to do a cat on a mat but decided to put him on a stool on a mat instead. Various fabrics, painted doily, stamped and painted cat, machine embroidery

Handmade Stamps and Sketchbook Pages

Stamps - I drew them, pixel traced them into 'Make the cut' then cut them out of fun foam on my Zing cutter. I stuck them onto various bits of wood or strong card.

Then used them in my sketchbook. The beaver and panda didn't print too well so I will do them again sometime.
