Cat, Doodle, Llamas and Alpacas

The cat was drawn on a tablet and cut on a digital cutting machine using some recycled card to see what it came out like. The white areas around the whiskers are not quite right.
A tablet doodle.

I've been drawing animals found in the book '20 Ways to Draw a Cat and 44 other awesome animals' by Julia Kuo as drawing practice and I think the animals in it are delightful.

Gelli Prints Revisited

In December I did some Gelli prints that I was a bit disappointed with [see here] to be honest, but I've used them here as digital backgrounds. The trees, bird, hippo and shapes are all older work, I had previously created them for use with my cutting machine.

I'm joining in with Paint Party Friday, are you?

Stencils, Clay and Gelli Prints

I designed these cut-outs to use as stencils. They were cut on a digital cutting machine then used with paints as shown below..
Below are the bits left on the cutting mat, which also makes a nice pattern.
I went to a crafty workshop last Saturday and we made tags and tree decorations with air dry clay. We used cookie cutters for the shapes for the most part and stamps for marks.
My husband says that kids do that, he's right but we still had fun.

We also did some Gelli printing using old magazines and gelli printing plates. It wasn't totally successful but I'm sure the prints could be used for further development although it was only inkjet paper so not that good as background paper.

I'm linking with Paint Party Friday.
