Nature Picture - Inktense

My picture finished at last. I started it a few weeks before lockdown which is 7 weeks now I think, so it has taken some time to do.I wanted to use one of the pictures in my sketchbook but it wasn't big enough so I added more to it. I've had a canvas measuring 24" square [61cm] waiting to be used for a long time so I wanted the picture to fit around that. I started by painting the fabric with Inktense blocks and crayons. Then came the freehand machine embroidery. Hand stitching came next, this took a long time. When finished I wrapped it around the canvas and fixed in place.

It's Friday, so it's time for Paint Party Friday

Ink Drawings and Doodlewash

A page of ink drawings, animals and birds

another page, the last one from this sketchbook
I have started a new A3 sketchbook but it may be a while before you see any pages. When I colour them in it takes a long time.
Also this week, Doodlewash
Bees

Puppy

Cherry blossom
Kisses
As it is Valentine's Day I shall leave you with this.
I saw this window display when I was waiting for a plane last month in Heathrow Airport. It was a highly decorated giant heart in Fortnum and Mason's.
And lets not forget that it is Paint Party Friday!

Unusual Animals Sketchbook Page and Doodlewash

A very detailed painting from my A3 sketchbook.
I chose a few of the more unusual animals for this page.
Pen, watercolours and white pen highlights.

Doodlewash Day 24 - Flamingo

Day 23 - Oranges
I used Twinkling H20's for this painting.

It's Paint Party Friday again.
