Trees, Birds, Mushrooms and Flowers

For my inspiration I've been going through the book '20 Ways to Draw a Tree and 44 Other Nifty Things from Nature' by Eloise Renouf
The sketchbook pages are 15cm square.

Grimoire Book - Pages 17-29

This and the next drawing are my versions of pages by Malcolm Bird from 'The Witches Handbook'.
I think his drawings are wonderful and the rhymes are funny.

The leaf fairy or thrush sprite is my version of a painting by Howard Swindell.
Check Pinterest for the fabulous original.

The original of this little fairy can be found in Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book.

Flower Power, Flower Heads

I used the flowers below to make this repeating design for fabric or paper.

I thought I would have fun with these flowers by adding heads.
These are the heads, all drawn on my tablet.

Butterflowers and WIP

I drew the flowers and butterfly on fabric with a pen, painted them, cut them out and stuck them to a re purposed  hankie. Then I enhanced with running stitches - thread not drawn on.
I think this one looks better in real life.
I'm working on a bigger piece, bet you can tell what it is.

Sketchbook Pages

Collage and drawing. The man and urns were cut from wrapping paper from Rhodes.

I love the pictures in a colouring book I have {Secret Garden by Joanna Basford}. I started this drawing by trying to copy one in the book, but it was so complicated I just did my own thing after a while.

Cat Collage

I recycled envelopes for the cat and flowers and the flower pot and fish was made from the back of a receipt. Coloured with Brusho and Aquamarkers.
