Small Animal Paintings

I've done nothing new this week as I've been away in Rhodes so I'm posting these paintings from my little 4 inch square sketchbook

I've just got back in time for Paint Party Friday

Feathers in the Sky and more pages from my sketchbook

There were some interesting things in the sky yesterday. I could hear a lot of planes - the Sunderland Air Show was on - but I also saw these feathers in the sky, well clouds but they look like feathers. Click on the images to enlarge.

More pages from sketchbook 16

There were also a lot of bees and wasps flying around yesterday too, but I only saw one like this.

Insects and Altered Photographs

Something strange has happened to the photos I took on my recent mini break.
This bee has gained an extra head. The background is a Norfolk Broad and the head is part of the Westminster Abbey building. Click on the images to enlarge.
The geese below have crowns.

And the skeletons have risen and are having a cuppa.

OK, I admit I have been messing about. My husband bought me a wacom pen for my birthday and with it came a copy of Photoshop Elements, so I have been trying them out.
The extras are from The Graphics Fairy as is the lady below. I gave her a bee necklace to join in the challenge at Take a Word - this week the word is insects.

Needle Felted Man and Moon Photos

I've had another go at needle felting and made this man, it's a poor photo I'm afraid but should look bigger by clicking on it. I like his nose.
The moon was shining through some branches last night so I thought I would try to capture it with the camera.

And today there was a very big bee in the conservatory, but I couldn't get near enough to get a good photo, mind you I'm not sure I wanted to get too near to it!

Sunflowers, Echinacea & Rolling Stamps 26-29

These are photographs I took in my garden the other day, between the rain storms.
I did actually put them on a post yesterday but then the power supply to the internet blew up just as I was about to post, so it didn't work. I could imagine a fire starting from that incident so I'm glad we were in the house when it happened. Anyway all fixed now as you can see.

Rolling stamp 26 is made from fun foam in the shape of buttons

for the pattern below I drew on paper first, although I don't always do that.

The stamp below is made from lace wrapped around an empty paint bottle.

I'm off to the Birmingham quilt show tomorrow, anyone else going there?
